There's something to be said for the power of thoughtful, restrained coordination and there's something to be said for having at least one of Ling Qi or Cai Renxiang up and ready to finish out the summit. But also, think about it. If Ling Qi wakes up and Renxiang is in the bed right next to her in the field hospital, then how is Renxiang supposed to make any arch comments about Ling Qi trying to get herself killed? She'd be throwing stones from a glass house. No, if she's to have proper standing to complain, then she needs to finish the fight on her feet. We should let her have this.

It simply feels more in character for her.
 
Tough! But, I think Renxiang already did the things most folks are talking about. She rallied the Clans, organized a defense, delegated tasks. She did the admin work. NOW she has to show that she isn't just an administrator, she's a worthy heir to REVOLUTION-as-a-woman.

Renxiang needs to stand out, and prove herself in battle given the Imperial mindset. This is a perfect chance.

Everyone is giving their all. She needs to do the same. And in a warrior culture, that means being a leader willing to sacrifice her safety to protect her subordinates.

I *am* very worried what the Polars think of all this, but hopefully the Emissaries and the Crows come out to help with the defense of the civilians

I feel like this makes the better impression, though the other option isn't terrible or anything.

That this is how the summit is being viewed is an amazing victory. From this point of view, a diplomatic summit has changed the situation with the cloud tribes from them having effectively endless room to retreat and seemingly no end of reinforcement to them being pincered between the Emerald Seas and an allied peer, raising the possibility that this millennia old conflict may actually end in their lifetimes. Especially for a generation that either witnessed or grew up in the shadow of the last incursion, this is about as big a contribution as is possible. And that's part of why I want to have CRX grounded and directing things. She will guide forces of the emerald seas to take their own victory here, hammering home the idea what this is an achievement that all the clans should rally behind.
