--[X] Use the Labor Reserve to repair and expand our infrastructure, with a focus towards railways, roads and canals that are critical for military mobilization.

I refuse i stand by my values and will not participate in this blatant Blackstar coup of our beautiful party if it is a vote split they want it is a vote split i will give.

Party splitting is a big part of what makes the SoN format fun and whipping people into a unified ooc voting bloc is sure to get nasty. A left and right ProgInd split is actually the more interesting and ic-sensible scenario. Also mas tagging is a little gauche.
 
I also don't think the divides in the party platform are big enough for a split to happen in the first place they will likely just be the left and right wing of there own parties but still support each other in policy/be in there own party. Also IIRC since this is a riot quest and with the spring time format voting lock and step in unity doesen't actually help all that much and voting for different platforms in the same party does not hurt the overall party/chance of "winning".

From what has been discussed in discord, I think splits will happen based on party size more than anything. Which I think its healthier because it means we can't metagame against splits by doing democratic centralism and never having public disagreements.

I refuse to sway from my chosen plan because I consider reaching out to the Brits and *Especially* the French (because of them currently "blocking" easy access to our Spanish friends due to their non-alignment and because of possible lingering disagreements about the bilingual border region of Elsass-Lothringen) more pressing than reaching out to the very distant Americans.

...Say, do we own any colonies in this quest? if so, that makes reaching out to the two nations capable of *locking the Channel for us* even more important.

So yeah, I´d rather prefer the Dengist offshot to come back to their senses than having to switch.
 
I think almost all planks of the More Deng Subvariant plan is broadly acceptable to all parties. The other one has public regional banks (acceptable to all but anarchists). Both has the tariff reduction plank that's likely something the AnConf approve & the RadReps can be convinced to agree on. Probably the Constitutional Socialists would find that okay too, provided cradle-to-grave social welfare aren't reduced to accommodate the cuts.

Anyways, as a fellow socialist voter can I convince all of you who are voting the Internal Cleaning plan to opt for redirecting their virtuous republican fervor towards other RadRep plans? The ones that prepare against external foes instead? Let's not restart civil strife that quickly after we (the Red-Gold alliance) won lmfao.

Conformity with the resolutions of the workers' and socialist International is a matter of principle, actually, and I do not appreciate the accusations of metagaming.

And side with a bunch of splitters? Absolutely not!

Besides, whichever plan wins the ProgInds will have the same number of votes, and it's not like they'd have enough support to push through their policy anyways. This option is, frankly, funnier.

Tell that to the Soviet Union and their satellite states of the Warsaw Pact - maybe not *official colonies* like the Belgian Kongo was, but still utterly beholden to their "big brother´s" demands.

Anyway, even without any colonies to tend to, in terms of international/overseas trade we are still pretty boxed in and dependent on the goodwill of the Brits and French - additionally, with a War against the alliance of Tsarist Russia and the Twin Monarchies being very likely in the near future in my eyes, we could really use the help of two very strong armies relatively close to use.

Because let´s be honest, the Austrians with their holdings in Czechia are in a *prime position* to put a lot of pressure onto our core lands very quickly, if we don´t watch out - as for the Russians, let´s just hope that we can repeat something like OTLs Battle of Tannenberg if we have to.

The main points of contention between the 2 platforms seem to over foreign share ownership and the transfer of social security to coop and union, while the other 3 planks are pretty the same things. I don't feel like it something big enough to cause the split yet ic, unlike a clear different between Marxist-Jacobin and Recovery plan that split Radical Republicans back in 1881.

Then again, since ProgInd was a sort of a merger between Moderate Democrats and Centrist Independents. A new ideological dividing line causing them to split back again does make sense.

How does any of this relate to the German Republic, which has even in its initial iteration stood against colonialism? And repeated that rejection when offered a seat at the table to brutalize Africa?

I'm not sure Franco-British bloc would ever be willing to use their own soldiers when they can just supply us with materiel to bled for them against the Imperial League, even if we make nice with em. The scenario where they would is if we bait the League into forcing the bloc's hand somehow. Probably due to some damn fool thing in the Balkans - which by the way is what both the main Radical Republican plan is angling for (the ConSocs doesn't really intend for their planks to be used that way even if it absolutely would be by the RadReps and SocRads).
