You are looking rather ill piglet, did the sea not agree with you?

Wait, is...

Medea, go girl, make yourself useful and fetch food and drink for our guest, this is also within your duties as a priestess.

Is that...

Namely because, much like Caster, she had pointed ears, though these stuck out to the side a good several inches away from the head, unlike Caster's who had a more upwards tilt. She also, possibly far more obviously, had large wings coming out from around her shoulders, a deep brown, they wrapped around her and made what was already a rather small looking girl even smaller.

IT IS! It's Circe!

You stand still, letting her approach, and she eventually comes to a stop just a few inches away, her gaze traveling over you for several long awkward moments before she nods with a small smile. "So it's finally time then for you, is it?"

Oh boy, and she's on the bullshit!

"Shirou…" The girl says, popping her mouth as if tasting your name. "Do you want to become a hero?"

And Shirou is in danger!

And the votes...

Well, first we have the ability to make informed decisions. This doesn't sound very Shirou Emiya like.

Secondly we have lessons from the best birb. One of the most powerful magic users of mythology. We just have to... not tell Medea.

And thirdly we have the mystery box.

Well, of these three, only one results in more time with Circe, AND it seems high chaos, so:

[X] [Lessons for the Piglet]
Circe is a great teacher, you just need to visit her in your dreams from time to time… and keep it a secret from Medea at her request.

[X] [Lessons for the Piglet]

Lets see if Circe and Medea can make a Matus out of Shirou!!!

Clairvoyance is nice but aside from Shirou being stubborn and always jumps towards danger unless restrained, don't see much our if it to be honest. The blessing seems like a one time thing and as said above better stat growths than consumables!!!

Also about keeping this a secret from Medea, why should we honestly? I mean I agree not telling her first thing we do but if she ask I see no issue telling her about it, or am I missing something?

Good work picking the one that comes with the biggest Clusterfuck

The beach or Medea?

"Do you want to become a hero?"

*cue musical number*

"Would you like a boon from this Grand Witch?"

Welcome to being an Erien protag Shirou! You're already suicidal enough but the other perk is boon granting dreams!... and dating hilariously lethal women. But you already had that.

[X] [A Blessing]

Mystery option!!

[X] [A Blessing]

Because we are 100% definitely going to end up doing something that could get us killed in the name of being a hero.

Also because I don't think Circe has any knowledge that is particularly suited to our problems regarding magecraft, and I'm honestly not that interested in playing a StrongMagus!Shirou when we already have Medea as Caster on our side. Better to focus our efforts somewhere else.

[X] [A Blessing]

I want to be a simple beatstick like Herc instead of a technical fighter like Caster. A front line instead of a back line. I'm not sure if over time the lessons will be a greater boon but a gods blessing in the modern age is imposter and I'd like to see where it leads.

Edit: Actually how are they teaching shirou? Wasn't magecraft created later on. The one that they use rely on gods right like their divine speech.

Medea when she realizes Shirou is two timing her on magecraft lessons...but she can't tell when her teacher is teaching her student, its the same lineage!

We got a week in the Grail war. Does the teacher extend past it? Or will it speed up his development like when he vs archer?

Now I'm wondering what sword would have done? I don't want to auto assume canon abilities. Probably have some twist due to the relation with Madea.

Modern Theumaturgy is based on Solomon and the crests he created, but there's all sorts of "pagan" traditions that don't rely on the gods. Like, as far back as Gilgamesh, people were making their own magecraft. Divinity is very distinct from magecraft in Fate, because Divinity gets to play by a looser set of rules. Classical Greek magecraft would be a bit different from what someone like Rin might know, but that's because mana was far more plentiful then, and people who were taught then knew more about how to perceive and manipulate things. Shirou being basically a Child of Destiny, his one-note-but-absurdly-powerful bag of tricks is easier to understand… once people know what it is.

Case in point, Caster showing her original summoner's incompetence after his industrial child blending. She sees things no modern Magus could ever hope of accomplishing.

*looks at votes so far*

...so having never played FGO...Circe is popular I guess?

Lol. On the one hand, I'm glad we managed to avoid catching Hecate's attention like I figured we would, on the other hand, Circe is very very dangerous. I'm willing to bet money that the only reason she didn't grab onto our soul and do something terrible to it is because of our ties to Medea. After all, she may be a Yandere but even Circe knows NTR is trash.

But that's beside the point.

[X] [Lessons for the Piglet]

We have to assume that EMIYA won't be around until proven otherwise, as such we need to take any chance given to us to improve our magic. Because just like with Emiya, until proven otherwise we have to assume that Gilgamesh is waiting for us at the end of the route, and we are going to need to have a handle on our powers if we want a shot at winning.

*does best Obi-wan impression*
That's why I'm here.

"Would you like a boon from this Grand Witch?"

Because those always end so well for the hero, don't they?

[X] [Clairvoyance]
You will receive dialogue samples in all vote options moving forward.

Just because I like seeing what sort of hilarious out-of-context snips you'll dangle in front of us.

[X] [A Blessing]

Two timing on Medea seems like a bad idea. These sorts of secrets have a way of getting out sooner or later and bad things will happen.

I mean, do we? We already have a contract with Medea as a Caster for someone who could allow us to improve what we can as a mage, without risking her taking the fact that we hid something as important as lessons with Circe badly. And in 2/3 routes Gilgamesh was defeated without the use of UBW anyway.
