Why are you trusting the Templars to be competent scholars and to deliver relevant information to us? A generation ago they were on board with killing all Imperial magisters, just because we are on the same side against Chaos and vampires does not mean they trust us with tomes of dark magic or frankly that we should trust them.

I don't expect them to give us the information, I expect them to give it to the appropiate person/people when it's needed, as they did with everything involving Alberich. The Templars are bound to collaborate with the Colleges, independently of our not-very-warm relations.

I would also be fine with keeping the scrolls ourselves, but I think if there is really important knowledge that could be used against the enemies of Civilization, the Templars are probably better suited to ensure that it reaches whoever needs it than Mathilde is. There's already precedent, with a Grand Theogonist using the Second Secret of Dhar to destroy IIRC Mannfred's army.

Her capability and steadfastness of her resolve aside, Mathilde is currently seen in a positive light by alot of the institutions that matter when it comes to magic and enforcement of the laws concerning magic. She has vindicated the trust of the current leaders of those institutions and she is conducting a potentially earth-shattering project amongst the forces of order at the remit of the movers and shakers of the Empire. There is no better time to grab some potentially dangerous books/items that would assist us in our magical innovation.

I am surprised no one has brought up the magical acorn and notes on a healing ring would probably lead to making a magical ring that can heal anything. Or a nice gift for someone.
I think people are building chicken coops over the idea of the 'Giving Vampires instant regen ring' being particularly applicable to non-vampires.

Either the council if we don't give them money or the library.

Interesting stuff to read!

This is the kind of big prestigous centerpiece that gets scholars to come to us and makes it easier to get agreements with other libraries. Giving it to Verena would make it very easy to get a deal with one library. Keeping it for ourself will make it easier to make deals with every library as it gives us some actual prestige.

Who knows what incredible insights could be found into enchanting. An incredibly relevant field for us as we work on windherding and waystones.

I'm greedy, take them all. No doubt we can keep them safe and also put them to good use.

I think the issue is less the content and more that just the concept of the book encourages people to desecrate corpses for medical knowledge which upsets the morrites.
Yes, but the book is not outright forbidden, and we could keep the book for prestige, and disseminate some of the knowledge for the general advancement of medicine.

This is my choice. Let's us keep the good bits. And i don't think we really need the morrites writings, we already know more then most from the liber mortis.

And if we really want to help zhufbar then there are more dwarven methods.

Upon further reflection, I don't really have an opinion about who gets the more generic Sylvanian vampire books.

Yeah, I'm going to pass on these. It's a little... weird. Besides, how hard can it be to get silk sheets that haven't been used by a dark elf, a demonette, a vampire, or any other kind of decadent being?

I'd prefer it for ourselves, but I'm coming round to the argument that the Council will be able to use it to build connections and allies.

One thing I've just considered is that W'soran's student Melkhior controls one of the Waystones in the forest of Shadows, and may or may not be possessed by W'soran himself. Getting access to his writings may be of some importance.

[X] [FLESH] You

A good, legitimate centrepiece for our library to raise it's prestige and value. Absolutely keep it for ourselves.

Notes on an actual artefact made by Nagash? Yes please, so much potential here.
