Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Yeah, we are either 1 or two xp short of the really good stuff.
Most of the really good stuff, as in high-end Charms, is of limited use without the basics.
For example The City Still stands is hardly worth it without some cheaper forms of toughness and a Shintai.
The multi-parry Charm is bad without more Athletics.
Even the Primacy thing from the Wicked City would be good, but not really cost-efficient right now.

any guesses on how many dots that is guys I figure stuff past like 8 or 9 dots at minimum for like 9 knowledge skills or something? The archives hot bullshit though even they would have lost a lot of knowledge prior to their creation whether the knowledge has been lost, destroyed, or never written.

I suspect the Archive does not roll for knowledge, it knows most things by default.

Dots would only matter for edge-cases.

thats fair there is still a lot of knowledge never written down, or long long decayed though, or heck non Euclidean knowledge I assume. Wonder how much they know about us or can inform us though sparks are fucking old a lot of knowledge would be literally beyond destroyed.

Actually a charm that we should pick up soon is the one from hell of maggot's (I think?) which increases the obedience of creatures considered dark to Molly. It will make it easier to get minions.

(My dream is to use this, False Spring Beckon (or the wish-granting charm) and the Bad City training charm together to get a squad of fully deadly Wild Fae spies/assassins or a team of White Vampires who are secretaries/butlers .)

(Appreciate the supernatural boys Molly and leave the poor wizard alone)

I would actually like to get our appearance up 1 or 2 mostly for vanity reasons also cause we're creepy. Maybe raise essence one and wait for more charms?

listening to jim butcher talking to fans and hes saying when he took God he took the catholic thing of universal where God is in many things even if we don't all see it the same way. like the holiness of him can be in something even described as holy to the hindus just as he could be there even when looking at things such as the holy bible. He also said something vaguely definitive that he likes his interpretation of God in his books towards things like shiro, hindus, christians, muslims, even evil people that God doesn't particularly care if you believe in him he believes in you, he loves you, he cares about you and your choices irrelevant of whatever is said about him. So I hope thats still true in this quest lol cause God could go very differently based on possible quest cosmology.

A vampire's curse would be best handled with this charm:

Mercy in Servitude (•)
The suffering of Hell is eternal, and as such, the
Infernal preserves her flawed and decaying servants,
that they might further serve her will.
System: Whenever a bakemono – a sort of cursed
mutant that werewolves know as fomori – acts to carry
out the Infernal's will, the various torments of its mutant
state are held in abeyance. If its acidic powers normally
rot its body from the inside-out, they cease to do
so while it slaves on her behalf. If the spiritual corruption
festering in its flesh is killing it with a variety of aggressive
cancers, they go into remission. If the use of one
of its powers normally causes it great damage and pain,
it no longer does so. Even derangements of the mind
inflicted by the creature's fallen state are temporarily set
aside while it does the Infernal's bidding. Basic rules for
fomori can be found on pages 428-439 of W20, while
expanded rules for playable fomori can be found in the
Storytellers Vault supplement Riot of the Flesh.

It is non-key, but only one dot so 4 XP, with it you could tame a white court vampire's hunger as long as they serve you, though they would still need to feed in order to sustain their powers. So they would no longer say frenzy in order to feed if hungry nor would they take too much in the heat of passion, but a White Court's ability to jump 50 ft in the air or something has to get energy from somewhere.

Wonder who could be the first person to offer this and would you know take it.

As I said, I know that nothing I say will convince you, but nucleosynthesis, even magically assisted one, is completely unfeasible.
My apologies, but I will come back to this later.
That went well. Mostly.
Now, another episode in the life of Molly Carpenter, YA protagonist!
Helped with the Red Court Ambush 3 XP (you had really strong back-up)
Swayed Ebeneezar 1 XP (you made a good case; but you had a lot of help including a literal Archangel vouching that you are safe)
Dealt with Gorfel and Company 4 XP (Bonus for no loss of life and for capturing most of them)
Sniper Encounter 2 XP (You did not catch him but you did think to get one of his bullets)
Gorfel Social Fu and investigation 2 XP (you did some good work but the real heavy lifting is still ahead)

That gives you a total of 14 including banked XP

Essence 2 is a must.
But after that its a toss-up between Appearance 2 or Rage Recast(Flight) or Boiling Oil Mastery. IMO. Maybe even one of the Shih arts. Depends on how much we have available at the end of things.

Oh and since we are talking charms, False Spring Beckon would obviate all of Rosie's lingering issues from the compulsion and get her over her addiction and as a three dot favored charm it is something you can buy at 9 XP. I mean she would have to be your minion in some way, but you could just ask for easy and convenient things
Alternatively, unlock Healing Path or Alchemy Path for 3XP, then use an Occult Excellency to stack successes, whether its psychic healing or an alchemical elixir.
Or find out if the good Brother is willing to teach.

@DragonParadox, if we made a shield, could it be crafted to be concealable, like a buckler that folds down into a bracer? Or something that could fold down to fit into an average purse or small backpack?
Shields are not a weapon in ExWoD.

So in conclusion it is really really hard to break the masquerade wide open, though you should be careful how hard to poke the veil so as not to get its enforcers on your case.
Eh.
Some governments are institutionally aware of the masquerade. Word of Jim:
Sword and Laser Ep. 16
Are there other governmental groups out there who are clued in? As an example FBI, KGB, NYPD, et cetera. Do they have their own versions of Special Investigations, and if so, would we ever see them in the course of the novels?
A detail that a lot of readers have forgotten is the end of Fool Moon where Susan Rodriguez, the reporter, actually got on videotape the werewolf and the big closing fight scene at the end. And then the videotape disappeared and most people kind of forget that the videotape just sort of disappeared. They just sort of put it down to oh, that's random background stuff. It's not random background stuff. Somebody made it disappear, and yes, there are people like that that exist and the difference is that most of them assume that anybody involved with the supernatural is the bad guy, they don't make contact. Not only is Dresden the exception because he's reaching across the aisle, so to speak to work with Murphy, but Murphy's the exception because she's reaching out to work with Dresden. There's something more going on there but the only side of the story we get to see is Harry's side of the story.
A WoJ allegedly mentions the Special Collections Division of the Library of Congress specifically as being clued in.
Plus there are individual govt officials aware of the supernatural.
SI is unpopular, but its survived as a section of the Chicago PD for more than half a century for a reason.

when using the crown usum counts as ourself right? not that I have anything I really think we need to ask them about right now I do want to know though? Is using the internet googling the word martial arts then using the crown on the word martial arts good enough for us to ask for locations or methods (obviously change the wording) to learn an exalted martial art? Also if it doesn't pop an answer that means no and we can just not of wasted a question anyways. Does occult 5 give us knowledge to know exalted martial arts were a thing?

The bridges of the Shih can do many things but they are above all other things the art of the lone warrior, they do not have much ability to mend the ailments of others. You are going to need hedge magic for that and that requires a teacher. Your most direct path to a permanent way to help Rosie is to take VED and have her make a wish. That is 20 XP.

You do not know what a Celestial Martial Art is right now. The step towards remaking them are first to learn the mortal version, realize it is inefficient as hell then work towards something that is not. If the result would resemble something from Exalted would be spoilers to say at this point.

[X] Father Daughter Bonding
-[X] Do your homework (Will prepare you for class, in the absence of it Academics rolls to keep your grades up increase by +1 DC; if you do not take it repeatedly you may have to make excuses to the teachers) [Requires 3 AP]
-[X] Make a shield of some kind - Try to craft a Light Shield which can be easily concealed, preferably hidden beneath your clothing (such as a bracer) or stowed easily in a purse or backpack.
-[X] Find some place to spar with your dad, you are pretty good with a sword, but it's hard to judge how good when all the opponents you faced are now dead
-[X] Go see Father Forthill, talk about the Church and its perspective on the supernatural
-[X] Visit Rosie in the Hospital
-[X] High Tech may blow up in the presence of wizards, but they aren't the only ones in the know, see if you can find some stuff about the supernatural world online
-[X] Hang out with your friends
1)Shields are not a weapon in ExWoD. There's a sample list of melee weapons around page 309, and whats concealable.
Melee Weapons
Weapon Difficulty Damage Conceal
Axe 7 Strength + 3L T
Baseball bat 6 Strength + 2B T
Brass Knuckles 6 Strength + 0L P
Chainsaw* 8 Strength + 5L N
Chair 7 Strength + 2B N
Crowbar 6 Strength + 1L J
Great sword* 7 Strength + 4L N
Knife 6 Strength + 1L P
Spear 5 Strength + 1L N
Stake 7 Strength + 1L J
Staff 5 Strength + 1B N
Sword 6 Strength + 2L T
Table* 8 Strength + 3B N
Whip 7 Strength + 0L J
Wrench 6 Strength + 1L
Nothing that adds defense.

2)Hang out with friends takes a lower priority than talking with the Nepalese monk who specifically stayed back in Chicago because of us. Three words: Shih. Martial. Arts.
He also has a perspective on Infernal powers that might help Molly adjust.

biggest question would it be inefficient on our part as in exp cost cause we just don't have the resources to do it without exorbitant cost or would it a more balanced for us thing where its relatively sane in cost? I assume usum knew of them though right even if he can't teach any he can mention their existence later right?

A shield fits your style so you can import one from Dark Ages. It is not like fluff wise people forgot how to make a buckler.
