Grand Army of the Republic: A Star Wars Plan Quest

-[X] [Armour] Medium Mandalorian Armour. (+++ Quality)
--[X] [Armour] Duraplast (+++ Quality)
---[X] [Armour] Large production. (-20 R) (-100 R per turn) (++++ Armour per turn)
This needs to be:
[#] [Armour] Medium Mandalorian Armour. (+++ Quality)
-[#] [Armour] Duraplast (+++ Quality)
--[#] [Armour] Large production. (-20 R) (-100 R per turn) (++++ Armour per turn)

Otherwise the formatting will make the tally count them as a subvote of the blaster choice. Also put 'X's in the brackets not '#'. I only did that in my example to avoid making a vote that would be picked up by the tally.

By the way, if anyone figures out what Palpatine wants the clones for, I will reward the thread with an +5 omake bonus.

And with that, I am going to bed now.

Umm. That one hundred per turn is going to get expensive quick. It's outside production not our factories. We need to save some resources for capitol ships and starfighters.
We are however getting more budget at the end of the current plan in 12 turns. And remember, we're here to kriff the Sith. Spending all of their spare money is a good thing!

[X] [Blaster] Concordian Crescent Technologies. (++ + Quality)
-[X] [Blaster] Small production. (-100 R) (-15 per turn) (++ Blasters per turn)
[X] [Armour] Medium Mandalorian Armour. (+++ Quality)
-[X] [Armour] Duraplast (+++ Quality)
--[X] [Armour] Small production. (-20 R) (-25 R per turn) (++ Armour per turn)

[X] [Sith] 100,000 Clones (+8 SS, +1 Infrastructure Die, +1 Industry Die)

We get a small production of infantry equipment in addition to what we produce locally, and save going all out on large orders for heavy equipment like warships and starfighters. Stuff that I have no doubt will be far more intensive and expensive to build orbital construction for then personal equipment, especially at higher stages.

I view small production as the balance between expensive drain on Sith to modestly hidden from outsiders.

Sidious gets an even 50,000, but that's about it. I just don't want to go too low this early before Sidious dies.

Stuff that I have no doubt will be far more intensive and expansive to build orbital construction for then personal equipment.
Should at least include designs so we can start production at our own factories.

I feel bad giving up the clones but 100,000 is a solid number to cover our ass and getting some decent support in return for it. They'll probably be indoctrinated and experimented upon as Sidious's most loyal anti-Jedi elites, death squads, secret police and the like.

Really don't want to give too few or they'll know what's up for sure. We have to play the game.

...One possibility is to train them as anti-force users, that 'coincidentally' are taught completely separate of the main system to ensure total loyalty to Palps.

Have to consider material costs to producing hundreds of thousand of the highest quality material armor at medium thickness. Settling for light armor thats extra light because of armour plast is a good move. I've always favored light armor in games and I'm inclined to favor it in this army, especially when we can givr them super reflexs.

An extra dice to keep up with facility needs seems like a prudent move.

So I'm guessing that Palpatine wants these clones for use in the Coruscant Guard so he can supplant their ranks with clones personally loyal to him. I really don't want to give him too many clones for this, so the bare minimum without annoying the Sith will do.

Meanwhile I would like our clones to be armed and armoured with the highest quality gear possible. We want them to be Mandalorians, so we shall give them the best Mandalorian gear we can short of Beskar. The fact that this drains the Sith of their resources is a side bonus, but a welcome one as we want to krith the Sith however we can, if preferably without screwing over the clones themselves. However no matter what option we pick, I think that we need the large scale production, which will at least cover 64 out of the 200 points worth of blasters and armour we need. We only have 8 turns left to get everything produced after all.

The more it drains on the Sith, the better!

Ugh, I would love to tell them to go kriff themselves, but we kinda work for them for the moment...

...About what point would have had neutral affect without the lady we recruited or does she not affect the gain/loss here?
The clones could be for a personal troubleshooter force to deal with various problems palps may face...

@Oshha my first guess is developing a virus to put down the clones if we ever rebel. My second guess is he's going to use them as a medium for some kind of battle meditation to influence the clone army.

I'm serious about production costs. We can't afford to pick large production on every possible option, but it's easy to fall into that trap when we're picking them individually over many updates.

My concern here is that while we can build everything ourselves, it's almost certainly easier building blaster and armor factories on Kamino then it will heavy armor and warship factories in orbit, for all that stage 1 costs are all the same.

I think it's better to get a small run of infantry tech in addition to our private factories and then go all out on heavy equipment outsourcing. We probably shouldn't bother building any more then the initial stage of warhships for example, Kamino will never match Kuat, Corellia and so on orbital industry in the time provided.

We should keep in mind how below 30,00, the penalty increases pretty darn fast, compared to how the favor we receives increases gives more, so it currently seems like they need about 30,000clones for something, and seems like less would be annoying, and below 20,000 problematic...

I think for now the smart play is to go for just production rights of the Mando guns, medium duraplast armor and other small arms and armor needs. We need to get the best equipment for our soldiers and a crash order of ground equipment can always be made in the future, we can get by for now on just local licensed production while ordering and saving for really big ticket items like ships. Also I think we should go bigger for clone order since we could use dice and influence and even if we go 'low' we are still giving enough for a small army. Might as well go for like 65-90k and go for some good buffs.
