God as much as I want to concentrate on Slaver's Bay/the Efreeti Yi Ti is looking like it's going to be Westeros 2.0….

I want the corpse of that kami who was salty about his mountain.

Huh I'm a little surprised Orange has managed to kinda orient himself as "anti Imperial" considering we have had considerable contact with him imo. Maybe the fact he bound his sister in the first place for dealing with Viserys helped there? Honestly tempted to let YiTi stew, maybe some deniable aid if it looks like Azure is really gonna crumple soon.

Well there aren't really a lot of votes and I would like to give you guys the time to look over the reports so I think the next update will be in the morning.

I, for one, think that we should at least make tentative plans to intervene in either Slaver's Bay or Yi-Ti should something go to shit.

Slaver's Bay is going to be a slugfest. Frankly I'd like to see if hiring mercenaries to supplement our own assets is in the cards.
Where from? The Elemental Planes, Heaven's Shore, hells, maybe do some more recruiting from Mammogram.
Edit: Mammon
WTF Autocorrect?
Also, another, somewhat related question: Are we capable of promoting our Devils?

We are not capable of promoting devils. Hopefully when we create the Imperial God and Imperial Afterlife, we can modify the devils through that, but yeah.

As for mercenaries, that's largely where I imagine we'd be looking.

Not really, at least not without research.

In theory as long as we have enough energy extracted from souls it should be possible?
Viserys is clearly capable of chanelling some semi-divine energy to his Oracle, so we can hope it's possible.

On the other hand, it might also be that Promotions are somehow inherently tied to the infernal hierarchy and it is absolutly impossible for someone cut off from it (like all our Devils deliberatly are) to be promoted.

Not really feasible. Mercenary units are too small to matter in a proper war, so you would have to knock on the doors of states to get soldiers from them. The one semi-exception to this are the Salamander clan living entirely on their spelljammer fleet, but they are a pretty unique edge case.

Promotions are a sort of directed soul and flesh shaping for which you guys do not have the templates and even if you did you do not have the arcane hardware to run them on

Yi Ti won't be a walk in the park either.

Westeros was easy because of many factors. We spent years ic and ooc diplomancing as many houses as possible. The Lannisters were the only relevant hostile faction left (Starfall happened to the Reach Fey, the Faith as whole was irrelevant, we took steps to neutralize the Citadel) and we outnumbered and outgunned them by a lot.

Yi Ti is way more magically advanced than Westeros as a whole. The kami loath us since we practice blood sacrifice and are a red dragon. We have no powerful allies in the area.

I just hope shit doesn't hit the fan at an inconvenient time…

You fool! You've tempted Murphy! :o

Gates remain open if you activate a Phase Ward on already active Gates.

Also, yes, you can burrow down there, and so can Devils. If you want to dislodge them from Slavers Bay, you will need an army to do so at this point.
How, I don't think devils are known for being able to dig holes, since I don't remember any of them having the burrow ability.

And we can use the spell ward to prevent spells like shape earth or whatever.

And spells like earth glide are blocked.

Keep in mind planar markets exist and there are a lot of beings out there with an ability as simple as burrow. No wealthy planar realm will be troubled by the inability to burrow. Hell is plenty wealthy.

Inb4 Bahamut starts offering Azure/Orange aid against us :V
I don't see why he'd do that? Like he has kind of a holier than thou attitude but even he can acknowledge the good we're doing and the scope of the evil we're preparing to fight. He's ultimately not as unreasonable as Grandma was or is.

Aside from the Slaver's Bay free for all, I would like to extend a generous serving of Imperial Intervention to our friends in Yi-Ti! It's the least we can do afterall...

Plus, after contemplating the actions of our good "friends" down in The Brazen Throne and The Hells, we better shore up our fellow large nations while they don't have much of a foothold here.

Best done soon...Before we find ourselves in a two-front war- in our own backyard.

Good night guys, see you all tomorrow with more research as we start to wrap up the fourth quarter of the first year of the Imperial Calendar.

I have to say I have been enjoying the more top down perspective and swifter passage of time a lot. I hope that is true of you guys as well.

There are plenty of ways to get a Burrow speed, ranging from fairly low-level spells to just having your friendly neighborhood Kyton fleshcrafter whip up something from a few slaves.
