Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Does choosing the first lock out the possibility of the second at a later level (at like Power V something?).

[X] Power III: Without Power one can hold nothing and accomplish nothing, but power may spring from many sources.

I agree with S.[V]elocity, it seems like this resolves the personal cultivation (wings/power) vs the family (roots/obligation to protect) issue LQ had been facing and turns it into something like personal power (cultivation, martial ability, financial income, individually held loot) + indirect power (friendships and family, social rank and ability to manage crowds & institutions, manipulation).

As she cultivates further friendships and family won't be a useless burden, they'll be another avenue for growth providing opportunities, influence, and protecting her and themselves in ways her personal cultivation can't manage. Clearing this roadblock lets LQ pursue the power she needs to thrive in different and necessary ways.

Once LQ gets much further down the path of cultivation it would be natural for her to want to find meaning for her gathered power. As head of the clan she has the freedom to choose the meaning her for her roots to pursue so they'll naturally be things she values.

I think this option will lead to more options where LQ looks for meaning and actually starts to build a coherent way/worldview through very needed introspection so I am voting for it, both otpions look fine but I find them very vague and up to personal interpretation.

I am pretty confused by what "many sources" means in the first option, they could be anything, most people are saying it relates to LQ's spirits and allies considering the last few arcs but LQ could mean something else like wealth, ducal backing or the ressources to mess with the mail of your ennemies with impunity.

Because there isn't any meaning to raw power. What matters is what is done with it. Those who covet power for its own sake tend towards tyranny. And I don't want LQ to be a tyrant.

Edit: Damn, looks like the bandwagon is already insurmountable. That's what I get for executive dysfunction.

Nah, this isn't a bandwagon. Those on the fence who instead swung towards the other side have legitimate concerns regarding the wording of both votes, with obviously one having a seemingly more negative possible outcome than the other.

Though even with that, the gap isn't as wide as it was because a small surge of voters arrived leaning more to this option.
