I mean I do not have to write about it (and probably will not have the time) though if @Takesis wants to do some rolls so he can do more omakes I am willing to do so.

Frankly, I don't think we'd leave the task to anyone but Companions.
It's a God-killing act.
It'd be OOC to allow someone who could fail the task to go out and do stuff.

X] Axe this expedition anyway since I give not a single fuck about some random tangent from years ago.

Now I protest this, because I'm not asking for any Companions time, for anyone to run a combat scenario or even DP to put it in an update. It's an Interlude break you're not even required to read.

Just a way for me to express my love for this story and try my hand at writing up people that no one even bothers with.

If you don't like that, just don't make it the voice of the thread in a vote. We cool?

To be entirely fair, anyone who chooses to vote that way, chooses to vote that way.

Azel doesn't like the stuff.
I find it weird IC that we'd send anyone underequipped for the potential apocalyptical scenarios Shadowlands present...
Who knows what everyone else's reasons are, but there ought to be for them to vote, no?

Saying that everyone will mindlessly vote him just to spite you is mite demeaning to everyone else.

While I do get the frustration I like to think that people read what they vote for one way or another. For what it is worth I really liked the omake and one way or another appreciate your contributions to the thread

I've spent the last weeks reading daily troll votes from you to remind everyone how much you hate what is going on without saying a word about it for the sake of peace. I still got called out by you for "wanting to take away what makes this quest fun".

At this point, I don't see why I should not voice my opinion about not wanting what you want.
If others agree, that's their choice. I'm not asking anyone to vote for me. I'm not campaigning for anything. I'm not "sneaking in things" as others have accused me of in the past.

I'm not making anything here the voice of the thread. The thread can speak for itself.

Guys, can we please not accuse each other of bad faith. @Azel has a right to make a vote, including about denying an expedition because Viserys can do that IC, that said @Takesis if the vote does go against it I would be entirely willing to roll for it as a non-canon branch of the story. I enjoy omakes and engagement broadly and would be happy to take the short time for a few rolls if you want to and I would give feedback as with any omake canon or non-canon which it is asked of me. Seriously there is no reason to fight over this, argue sure, it is a vote and you can and should try to convince others, but not fight. At the end of the day we are all here to have fun and no one is in the business of trying to stop others from enjoying themselves.

Now for the sake of slightly changing the subject, what interludes would you guys like to see the Curia through? I'm thinking of changing PoVs a little just to provide other perspectives than the height of the throne.

I'll have you know that my latest shitposting was not for protest or derails. I've been doing random votes for years for the funsies and if that's annoying to you:

Here's more random tangents from years back then!

@Duesal, here's your quarterly reminder to sacrifice that Astral Dreadnought, or extract it's eye as you've been planning to do.

Also harvesting the Death Reapers Scythe soul catching mechanic.

That tattletale of a lady from Braavos who took money and told on us doing Blood Magic (We want a refund!)

Malarys' buddies in crystal.

Exploring and assaulting the Deep Ones cities, described in excruciating detail one step at a time.

Exploring and excavating the Serpentfolk cities described in excruciating detail one stone at a time.

Poking Leng, the've got to be doing something to be able to coexist with the Deep Ones...

Speaking of which:

[X] The Deep One infiltrator that everyone missed, gathering intel for the upcoming war.

How much more? I'm getting tired of skipping chapters I can't wait to get the RAs out of the way.
*Looks up original vote for Curia Schedule* We aren't even half through.
-[X] Arrange the first session of the Curia to start at the 17th of the month, to be held as Join Open Full Session unless otherwise specified.
--[X] 17th: General meet and greet with and between the Princeps and Vox Curiae, and explaining to them how we want the show to run. Remaining succession issues will be hashed out, Baratheon land readjustments reversed, people formally promoted and governors appointed.
--[X] 18th: Confirmation hearings of the Ministers and High Court judges. List is carefully curated beforehand so that all options are fine for us.
--[X] 19th: A fair and unbiased trial for Tywin and the other Lannisters, followed by some public executions.
--[X] 20th: Confirmation hearings for the remaining Marshalls. Sorting out which fiefs we will keep and what lands we will buy for erecting military bases all over the Imperium.
---[X] Initial proposals to be voted on beforehand, then final decision after the Curia had their say. (That is: Had a chance to make their case for getting a slice of the pork.)
--[X] 21th: Princeps Sanguis pick the succession laws for their titles and we go on with the bribery steps. City charters are handed out and still vacant titles handed out. Princeps Suffragium have to officially putt heir election systems in writing too, so that Imperial courts can check that things go right there. No stipulation on how those laws will look, just that they have to be written down.
--[X] 22th: Closed Joint Full Session about security concerns of the realm. Heaven is fucked and so is the wider universe. (The people here have the funds and ability to get this information on their own, so it's pointless to try and hide it.)
--[X] 23th: Day off. Counseling for any who need it.
--[X] 24th: Infrastructure, economic development and especially prospecting for and exploiting rare ressources for the war effort. Which war? All of them. Also more Scholarium branches and general development goals.
--[X] 25th: Talk about the establishment of the first courts, taxation offices and other imperial infrastructure in Westeros. What has already been achieved, where are the problems and what needs to be done. Happy blaming each other for stupid shit.
--[X] 26th: Talk about the organization of Voice elections in Westeros. This will take time.
--[X] 27th: Overflow day in case any other topic overruns and we need to reschedule. Otherwise, Petitions to the crown.
--[X] 28th: Petitions to the crown.
--[X] 29th: Closing feast. Announcement of the wedding date. You may now go home if you want, as the Curia will not meet in full until necessary again. Or you can stick around and do stuff here. Politics is happening in SD, not the pile of rocks where you keep your stuff.
--[X] 30th: Viserys spends a quiet day with his future Imperatrix Lya.
By the way, @DragonParadox why did we conduct Tywin's trial a day earlier than the vote?

Now for the sake of slightly changing the subject, what interludes would you guys like to see the Curia through? I'm thinking of changing PoVs a little just to provide other perspectives than the height of the throne.
The next item on the Schedule is the confirmation of the Marshals, I would like to see it from the perspective of a Westerosi noble, preferably one inteligent enough to understand the implications the Imperial Legions have on their political power.

That or Mereth. Because Mereth is amazing and one of my favorite characters.

Is the Vox Gentrum meant to be the representatives of the various non-human groups that now populate SD and our empire? Because I'd love to see some of the other members Curia debating how to get the Minotaurs, talking monkeys, and flying horses to support their policies.

*Gives a stinky eye*
I'll have you know, of all the people, I haven't forgotten.

If we had time/people to delve serpentfolk ruins, we would've.
If we had time to find the Undead-coatl Yss made of dead Zathir's body, we would've.
If we had enough fucks... wait no, that's right, we willfully chose to not care about the crystallized Valyrians.

Had we had time/people for anything, we would've.
But we don't.

Companions are the reasonable level of force on the edges of the map, and they are busy as all fuck.
Wait, and you'll get that stuff eventually.
I take (very slight) offense at you saying a few times that everyone forgot.

I keep track of the shit, trust me, had there been a slightest opportunity, someone would've gone on one.
There was not.

@DragonParadox, kindly knock off the bothsiding. For some reason you always post these calls for peace when I'm fed up and starting to actually fight back, but never when the peanut gallery drops by to take personal shots at me.

Like... you know... @Takesis explicitly trying to annoy me right after you called for people to keep the peace.

I'm not bothsiding, I simply do not want there to be a fight. When someone takes a shot at you or anyone else I call it out but at the end of the day I do not want to be in the position of apportioning blame unless there is no other choice. I did not come here to play mod.

I am sorry if that comes out as not offering enough support, but I simply to not have the focus to do that kind of thing and run a quest. If this quest ever becomes a place where I have to do that sort of work with any regularity that would likely kill my desire to write.

I am a slow typist which is why DP just posted first. Dropping it and move on.

One final note on this matter just to be clear about something, please to not assign ill will to other posters, this is a general request but I am quoting you on the matter because you did previously imply that @Azel was out to ruin other people's fun and that was both inaccurate and hurtful. Please do not do this again. Also generally to the thread please if you value this quest at all do not make me play mod, it plays merry hell with my desire to write. I will do my best to accommodate any criticism and any productive discussion, all omakes are welcome canon and no.

Thank you, this has been the somewhat flailing GM

[X] Continue to the business of the Curia
-[X] Bloodraven debut?
--[X] If so, probably keep it relatively low-key. Not too ostentatious.
--[X] PoV: Preferably someone who remembers him personally, i.e. Walder Prime, (probably not) Pycelle...
--[X] If not, then someone who doesn't know who he is, who is observing the reactions of the people who do.

Hmm, looks like we need a bit of humor...

It's story time. Better yet, it's true story time.

So, I got a call from my brother Friday afternoon right as I was shutting my work rig down and preparing to fight the traffic (it can get rough in the 20 feet between my office my bedroom!). Ya'll might recall me mentioning my dumbass brother a few times over the years. He's not mean, he's just stupid. Really, really stupid.

Anyway, the battery in his newly purchased but very much not new vehicle has gone dead. There's a whole story behind that I won't go into, though it does involve him being mostly paralyzed from the waist down, the DMV allowing him to take the driver's test and renewing his driver's license while only using his partially functional right leg rather than the hand controls he should have been using. Oh, and the vehicle's battery was dead because he left the breathalyzer he's required by law to have installed in it turned on overnight, the one he has to blow in before it will allow the vehicle to start.

Anyway, back to the dead battery. I drive my truck over to his place, which happens to be two houses down from me (another story I'm really not getting into) with the jumper cables to give him a boost. That goes as well as could be hoped, since he didn't electrocute himself or start a fire. I did have to save him from rolling/falling down a short but very steep hill in his wheelchair, only about 8 or 9 feet, and into the neighbor's gravel-lined driveway. That would have been a whole other funny story.

But then his vehicle wouldn't crank. In fact, the key wouldn't even turn in the ignition. He struggled with it for a good half hour or so, looking up DIY solutions online, calling a mechanic buddy of his, etc. Nothing worked. He eventually gave up in disgust and I came back home before any of his stupid rubbed off on me. I hadn't been home two minutes when he called me back to tell me the good news. His vehicle was up and running.

What, you might ask, was the problem? He was using the wrong key to try to start it. Not only was it the wrong key, it was a key from an entirely different key ring, one he believes belongs to his roommate. I saw the key ring, BTW. It was very distinctive, IMO, considering that one of the keys on it was a large brass skeleton-style key with enough heft you could probably bludgeon someone with it.

The best part? The key he needed was in his pocket the whole time. 🤯
