A vision for the long term good of the realm is necessary.
[X] Gunthor Hightower
Youth, enthusiasm and growth have a place in society (and nurturing a positive Westerosi influence in the Imperium is something to strive for).
[X] Vynar Jokarys
Experience has a place as well.
[X] Syrio Coltherys
We sell alcohol and insured Sorcerer's Deep had the best brothels this side of Lys. I do not condemn a man for his private life (as long as what he does is legal), I concern myself with his public one. This is a fundamental freedom without which one would be forever burdened by the prying eyes of a public whose base instinct would be flattered, either tending towards hypocrisy or worse puritanical intolerance.

No possibility to vote for Parion Dyodrys ?

Edit. I see many rejecting Gunthor Hightower for his inexperience, but he would serve as the proverbial five-years old in the Evil Overlord's list. Yes he is inexperienced, but he would also bring a fresh outlook on things.

[X] Parion Dyodrys
He seems like a solid choice and a conciliator would help.

im going with 2 harsh but fair and 2 sympathetic to balance them

Yeah. Then we got Governorships and remaining land distribution and we are done.
This went a lot more smoothly and with marginally less political maneuvering / promotion without merit than I expected, so let's hope we keep up the trend. Information is baseline guaranteed to be completely loyal, pretty much out of necessity, or the post pretty much sits in semi-limbo until we can train someone... possibly using Psychic Surgery, even. Which doesn't seem like it'd be too hard, if they're loyal enough to die for us, they'd likely be loyal enough to risk a little brain scrambling.

Magic and Diplomacy, similarly, need to have a minimum number of outside points of leverage on them. Diplomacy has to be reasonably loyal since they're basically working at our discretion and pushing our agenda, though skill is important too. Rhaella was my default as well.

For Magic I want them to be skilled, which, unfortunately, likely means they won't be as loyal as we'd like for an important position. But that's not the end of the world.

Justice I prioritize being boring. More boring than skillful even, at the end of the day, if we can't have both. They are making sure the judicial side of things runs smoothly and continuously.

Administration I foresee being reasonably loyal simply by dint of having come up from Alinor's office. But boring is best.

This whole process is basically one big timesink to give @Azel time for a complete system rework.

Because if we go back to the old system for even one more turn, I might throw myself off the nearest bridge.

And there's like, at least a couple of them pretty close by...
There's also the part where we pretty much neglected institution building for years and now have to cover it all at once.

Added Parion Dyodrys to my vote. He's an acceptable candidate, IMO.

Thinking about it the Ministry of Justice would have significant overlap with the High Court in terms of competence. While it is true you would need more administrative competence and I do not think thee fey would work for it for instance, a few of the other judges would.

Probably not a good moment to mix up the vote, since it will lead to a lot of confusion.

Edit: To be honest, besides the bland-ish candidates, most would be trainwrecks as Minister. Maekar doesn't strike me as someone with admin skill and Morwyn would be too controversial to pass muster.

Hm... since my preferred slate is unlikely to make it, I guess I need to adjust my vote.

[] Morwyn of Deepcleft
[] Chesed (kindness, goodness)

I could do without those two, so I'm pointedly not voting for them any more, but keeping my four favourites means my preferred candidate is out.

So:
[X] Vynar Jokarys
[X] Javad Rahbar

[] Syrio Coltherys
He is out for being largely filler material.

[] Maekar the Mongrel
Same here and he has the added disadvantage of trying to pass laws from the bench, which I consider highly undesirable.

If using Brain Spider is objectionable to Danelle, I wonder what she would think if Viserys went True Dragon, placed Lyan in his mouth, then proceeded to interrogate him on all he knows of Sunset Shores?

Viserys' resting Intimidate score is 43. It can easily be pushed to 63 with AoN and VotD, and raised even further to 78 using Divine Insight.

@DragonParadox, what kind of Intimidate modifier do you think "being interrogated while sitting in a Dragon's mouth" would warrant?

Once again I'm like a year behind, but I'd imagine we'd very quickly regret putting him in our mouth with that kind of intimidation. :V

If they can find a wandering brother who was never a proper Septon and has no ties to the Faith's leadership, but is highly qualified for a position in our goverment, I would consider him for it.

Wasn't there a guy in the Riverlands we liked who was on the outs at some point? I'm not sure that he was particularly qualified for anything, but I remember running into a Septon while we were doing "Kill X quillboars and fetch quests to gain loyalty" type quests there that we had a good vibe about.

Well good night guys, see you in the morning with the full High Court and then talks about who is to run the administrative parts. Just keep that at the back of your mind that some of the people that do not make the first court here may be in the running for Minister instead.

Too bad about the priest, he seems like a good candidate outside of the optics of picking him. I don't know anything about the blind god, but his priest seems pretty legit. A neutral god of justice would fit in pretty well with our current set, anyone else interested in Pokémoning them?
