Usagi Quest (CK3/Princess Maker) (Sailor Moon)

Update is a little below what I would like, but I have a terrible headache today...

So I'm going to put the second half (what those rolls were for) in the next part when I can think without feeling like my brain is being stabbed.

"For two reasons." the female crow says, "The first is the fact that this is our responsibility. The second is she does indeed remind me of the Princess, and if she is the real deal..." The Crow turns to Inuyasha, "Well, then I will make good on my responsibility, and allow you to bring the Demon onto our grounds."

"ᛏᚺᛁᛊ ᛁᛊ ᚱᛁᛞᛁᚲᚢᛚᛟᚢᛊ! ᚨᚾᛞ ᚺᛟᚹ ᛖᚲᛊᚨᚲᛏᛚᛁ ᚨᚱᛖ ᛁᛟᚢ ᛈᛚᚨᚾᚾᛁᛜ ᛟᚾ ᛗᚨᚲᛁᛜ ᚦᛁᛊ ᚠᚨᛚᛊᛖ ᛈᚱᛁᚾᚲᛖᛊᛊ ᛈᚱᛟᚢᛖ ᚺᛖᚱᛊᛖᛚᚠ?(This is ridiculous! And how exactly are you planning on making this false princess prove herself?) "

That is a very good question, how do you plan on proving that you are the Moon Princess?

The first thought that comes to mind is transforming, but... But Sailor Moon wasn't a thing in the Silver Millennium. The Princess of the Moon wasn't a fighter... Not like... Not like Usagi is slowly finding herself becoming.

She could cast one of her spells, yes, but nearly all of her spells are spells that she has learned either through her own experiments or by becoming Sailor, so those are spells that the Princess wouldn't have known.

Speaking in High Lunar or Maresi? Yes... that is something that would definitely stand out. Something that not anyone could do. Just anyone who has managed to awaken their memories from the Silver Millennium and knew the languages back then.

So while not something that anyone can do, a lot more people than just the Princess could do that.

The next thought is guessing the names of these birds, because even as Usagi looks at them, she can tell that she... that the Princess knew them. Still, that isn't something unique to the Princess either.

So... What could be the thing that could stand out and be unique to her and prove herself as the princess.

Something that is immutable, that no one could manage to fake, not even the Moon Princess, and would stand as a good solid... signal of who...

Signal...

Oh!

Yes! That magical signet stamp that Luna found. The one that creates a unique magical signet for anyone who uses it. That would be able to perfectly and completely prove that Usagi is who she says she is.

But wait... The girl doesn't have it with her. It is back in her closet, hiding behind her clothes because the girl doesn't have a means of keeping them somewhere safe and sound. To make things worse, she doesn't have the time to go and rush back to her house and get it.

Yet, there is something about that thought...

The girl's magic is trying to do... something. Her inner energies bubble and pop, but they don't flow quite right. She isn't sure what her magic is trying to do, or why her instincts are pushing at her the way that they are. Ever since she accidentally transformed herself into the Moon Princess however, the girl has found that her instincts are stronger, pushing at her a little more than they have before.

So she does as her instincts push her to. "Moon Prism Power." The girl calls out, transforming into Sailor Moon. As the light of the transformation fades, Sailor Moon idly spins the Signet stamp around two...

Wait.

Sailor Moon freezes. Slowly, she looks down at her hand, and the stamp in her hand.

What.

How.

Why. Wait, no. she knows Why, but not the answers to those other questions.

That isn't the important part. Well, it is important, but it is the kind of important that Sailor Moon can experiment with at a later date, not when she needs to prove to a pair of talking birds that she is who she says she is.

There is a tiny part of the girl, a little bit of the lazy crybaby that Usagi once was that just idly fails to comprehend that this is her life now.

That using a magical transformation device to turn into the living avatar for a celestial body and the reincarnation of the heir of a solar system wide polity in order to somehow teleport a magical artifact in order to prove she is who she says she is to a pair of magic talking birds in order to assist a half dog demon rescue his... Priestess Girlfriend?

Actually, now that the girl has a moment to think about it, she doesn't know what kind of relationship Kagome and Inuyasha have.

Which is something that she could ask about, once the Miko has been saved.

But before that can happen, Usagi is going to have to convince these birds to allow Inuyasha onto the shrine grounds. Thankfully the girl has what she needs to achieve her goal (somehow...), but she doesn't remember exactly how to use it, and the bit of her instincts that calls for her to just channel magic into the tool doesn't seem to be particularly helpful at the moment.

Without any other idea of what else to do, you start to channel magic into the device, watching as the end of the stamp starts to glow.

With a sharp snap of her wrist, Usagi presses the end of the stamp against the very air, there is a moment of resistance, like pressing against a layer of jello, before there is a pop and a shimmering sigil floats there in the air.

The more feminine sounding of the two birds takes a hop closer, looking up at the mystical sign, nodding. "Hmm... yes, yes. I see."
"You see what?" The other bird asks, hopping closer. He takes a single look at the sigil, before scoffing and turning away. "That isn't the sign of the Crown Princess. I knew that the girl was a-" Before he can continue, the other bird bats him with a wing.

"Stop being an idiot and actually take a look." The feminine bird snaps.

"What exactly am I supposed to be looking at?" The masculine bird asks, "That isn't the Sigil of the princess. I mean, just look." The bird points with a wing towards the top of the sigil, where there is the symbol of an upturned crescent moon. The points of the crescent touching against the widest point of a heart. "That may be the Royal Family's crest, but then below that." The bird drags it's wing down. "That's modern Japanese for Rabbit, and the sharp edges here and here..." the bird continues, ignoring the bemused look on the other crow's face. "Those are Warrior Marks, while that there is a diplomatic emblem."

"I see..." The other bird says, still somehow grinning.

"The Princess never managed to have such a complex sigil." The masculine bird's glare grows even stronger, "So why are you grinning at me like that. I told you that-"

"That the sigil is marked by the Imperial Crest?" The feminine bird answers.

"Yes. I mean..." The bird turns back to the sigil, studying it for a moment longer. Then, surprisingly, he sighs. "Yes... that is the Royal Crest." The bird looks up at Usagi, before turning over towards "Inuyasha."

"The Girl is willing to speak for you." The crow all but growls out. "For that and that reason alone, I shall allow you entrance to our grounds, but make no mistake. You threaten anyone who is undeserving and I shall have you removed."

Inuyasha snorts, but he doesn't argue, just staring at both of the birds, a look that makes it clear that he is more irritated than anything else.

"One more thing." The feminine bird says, hopping up closer to Usagi. "Say nothing of all of this to the Priestess." That is an interesting statement for the bird to make. "She isn't involved in any of this, and she doesn't know anything about all of this."

Usagi doesn't immediately answer, instead just nodding. There birds are talking about Rei, and asking... well, ordering Usagi not to say anything about the supernatural events happening around the shrine. Not to mention the Youma or the Yokai. Admittedly, there is a part of Usagi that agrees with the birds, that doesn't want to worry others.

Yet, there is another part of the girl that is still trying to make the pieces of the puzzle that is Rei fit together in her mind. Deep in the depths of her mind, Usagi is all but certain that in the end Rei is going to have to find out about all of this regardless, but she isn't sure why she thinks that is how things are going to be.

She just... has a feeling that things are going to end with Rei aware of what is going on before too long.
