[X] The Path of Inheritance: Try to partake in the Oathtaking and alter it under the eyes of its makers

Come at us if you think you're hard enough.

Will probably need to tinker with the traitor oath over night.

What is the general thread feeling on using the Well of Souls or more precisely the contained power of Tiamats Greed to pave the way for stealing even more power from the Illithid / Drowned God? It's a very unique and powerful ressource, but it's also a pretty unique and potentially profitable chance to poke a hole into another god and guzzle down on that sweet, sweet divine power.

Ah I see, that might be doable yeah, though you would be pitting the willfully non-divine Viserys against a god with Squid-y backup.
When would Future!Viserys ever not stack the deck in his favor by asking his own stable of divine backup to lend the assist / use Artifacts / other McGuffins for an extra percentage increase of odds?

On a scale of 1 being "look both ways before you cross the road" and 10 being "I'm going to cuckold Zeus in his own home"?

11, please.

i mean i'm game but i don't know how using it while changing a vow would work.
it's energy not a mechanism so idk how it would help right now. it would help a hypothetical lvl20 great wyrm MR10 Viserys steal the power tho.

I'm down for it. Seems like the best opportunity to use that stolen power we're likely to have for a long while.

The oath is ultimately just a means to an end, with the end being to forge a metaphysical connection between the Ironborn and the Drowned God.

Using Tiamats power would turn the bendy straw we want to stick into the Drowned God into a gold-plated pipeline. Or at least that's the intention behind it.
Given that Tiamat is all about greed, power, the power of greed and the greed for power, her stolen essence should resonate really bloody well with what we want to do here.

It was never gonna be the spark to bring the Imperial Deity to life - there was too little power stolen into the Well itself, considering the slice we got got splitt between all of the Gods that participated.

I'm a-okay using it up for as much as a chance to succeed here.

Bottom line, we're retroactively writing into reality the fact that Tiamat would've been cut up and lost a part of her power, making our victory over her predicated by the events millennia before it happening.
I mean, changes little to nothing, but another hit to her ego is always good :V

So the Causal equivalent of "always has been" meme with regards to fucking over Tiamat.

All of my yes. Stick a straw in it.

Viserys: "Prophecy is fallible and fate not set in stone."
Also Viserys: "Let's write the retroactive doom of my enemies into the fabric of the universe."

"The answer is Yes, if it benefits me."

"What if it doesn't?"

"Well, then, no."

"... doesn't that seem a little hypocritical?"

"Don't you seem a little too Not Vaporized?"

"... no?"

"You get it!"

Will we cause her Avatar a rage-induced aneurism the next time we fight, if we mention the fact aloud? :V

As a note. Because we, quite literally, disarmed Aegon we can use his blood connection to his Fishmonger of a father to grab his ass and then do all matter of nasty fucked up interrogation.

Excellent. Well then. Highway Robbery-Divine Edition 2: Electric Boogaloo is a go.
Sold.

[X] Plan Highway Robbery-Divine Edition 2: Electric Boogaloo
-[X] The Path of Inheritance: Try to partake in the Oathtaking and alter it under the eyes of its makers
-[X] Use this oath.
-[X] Use the power of Tiamat contained in the Well of Souls, specifically it's Greed aspect, to strengthen the connection you are forging to steal more power and souls from the Drowned God.
