Added Aife.
Shifted Maelor.
The Black Champion is still in Oldtown.
Mereth can just Teleport to SD to order reinforcements in person.
Would also have Aife cast a Reached Chained Mind Blank on everyone before the groups split. That will not only cover the reinforcements who show up, but those present who don't already have a Mind Blank while also providing those who do with extra protection, since a 20th level Mind Blank is a lot harder to Dispel than the minimum 15th caster level in the items.

Done.

Also added Share Pain Viserys -> Richard, Lya -> Myrkdreki and Qyburn -> Myrkdreki.

I assume you feel we are over relying on our divine allies lately?
Yes.
It's also narratively unsatisfying to literally have a deus ex machina button, even if DP writes a cool description of magic rituals. Although the social drawbacks of using the button are appreciated, I still regret the existence of the button.

And of course your plan is essentially "delve into the depths and destroy their ritual at the source", which is the kind of D&D-protagonist plot that I really like despite how cliché it is.

I get where you are coming from. Especially the constant clamoring to have Yss turn someone's soul into an obedient Outsider are getting rather annoying. Especially since we have other options to enslave / remake someone's soul.

Yeah, it's one thing to sicc a Pantheon of attack dogs Gods to someone. But I miss it when we got to choke a motherfucker ourselves.

It is worth noting here that you are going to first find said depths, you only have the vaguest hints of direction from the sparse vegetation and other life of the Iron Islands. there is going to be some stone swimming going on before all else.

why do i feel like it isn't a ritual underneath the island at all but just a giant sea monster they trapped underneath it that only wakes up when the condition is met

If we decide to go with the Elder Root option, then we should definitely commit the research points, to carry out my partial sacrifice plan, for when we turn all the undead of Sarnor into Warforged, since that plan has the side effect of feeding the old gods a lot of power.

This all has to be done within 2 days tops, there is not time for typical research projects.
My point was for afterwards, the old gods will need to replace the power they use here, and we have a research project that conveniently will give them a lot of power, so if we ask them to tap into their reserves of power, we should do the project that let us help restore those reserves.

Replacing power on this cale is not something that can be done by just dropping generic research dice into it. Did you have anything specific in mind?

If restoring power is the name of the game just dump a metric load of trees all over essos and Westeros...after we raid the efreeti for all that they are worth. It's been a while.

As far as I remember, we still haven't turned the Sarnori undead into Warforged, which mean we can still do the partial sacrifice research, which make turning an undead into a Warforged 40IM cheaper, by sacrificing their undead body to the old gods, and the old gods of course get their share of power from all those partial sacrifices.

So what I had in mind, was basically taking a research action that has already been confirmed to give the old gods a lot of power, but that we haven't decided, if our personal profit from doing it is worth the research cost.
