[X] Lead only the Wizards.
Mechanically, to-wound rolls of Chamon Battle Magic has nothing to do with target's Toughness (and Chamon spells have no Strength), you just roll target's own armor as a to-wound roll. So it's near-useless against lightly armored archers, but devastating against gromril-clad dwarven troops.
Able to see prey from higher up, allows them to patrol their turf without expending energy, and is a warm cat sized car that moves as soon as they sit down?
That's only wargame mechanics, not something to be taken at face value about effectiveness of spells. White hot stream of metal in your face definitely will hurt even if you are unarmoured.Mechanically, to-wound rolls of Chamon Battle Magic has nothing to do with target's Toughness (and Chamon spells have no Strength), you just roll target's own armor as a to-wound roll. With this quote, I'm more on the the Wizards and Asarnil. There's a lot at stake and it's Mathilde's responsibility to do everything she can to make sure the Expedition is a success. Part of that is making decisions like this, and passing the buck on them is an abrogation of that responsibility. Besides, Asarnil's a mercenary, he won't take offence to being told who his point of contact is.
... hugger, Anton/Asarnil is a meme, not a thing.I wanted Asarnil under our official command since we're probably the individual he'd be most likely to listen to and because I wanted to grill him about Anton.
I think it is best to focus on what Mathilde is best at. While she can attempt to speak for the others she has some experience leading troops but not a lot in a situation like this.
We can easily lead Asarnil as well, who could definitely help with the Ice Witch Sidequest. We're going to be busy during a lot of this expedition - scouting, concentrating on Rite of Way, or doing the Ice Witch sidequest. If we can't properly dedicate the time towards a command role, it's irresponsible to take it.
There are sooo many fun statements the QM could throw out.
