[X] Have all general orders for maintenance on the MirrorVision network placed on hold while the Inquisition checks the propaganda mirrors, Whispering Braziers, and Air Fleet communications systems as well as the All-Speech Printing Presses for tampering. Have the Inquisition investigate the Public Commission of the Education Department for recent work orders made for the MirrorVision network, to determine who is knowingly or unknowingly working for Abraxas.
-[X] Have those Enchanters known to perform the work to link new mirrors with each other during or after enchanting process investigated for compulsion or subversion.

[X] Place a Forbiddance down on the area and then have Qyburn 'dispel the mirrors'. With twin Disintegrates.
-[X] You will cast Greater Blink on yourself and Qyburn and Richard. Mostly because you actually expect the enemy to try collapsing the building on top of you. You will probably just kill everyone inside with fire and steel, otherwise (if there's something worth creating a combat plan for, we'll only find out once we're inside).

[X] Tell Garin that HEADS WILL ROLL FOR THIS.
I've reflected on things, but with @Goldfish suggesting we block teleportation first, we can't actually teleport out of a collapsing building. Nor will Greater Blink or any other Planar travelling spells (Ethereal or otherwise) work.

So... maybe we should just bring it down. That's what I'm changing the vote to now. I just realized we greatly limit our options and I don't trust a building that was constructed to specification by a demonic cult.

Couldn't we escape with Earth Glide?

edit: the demons probably have lead/wards against this

-[] The official account of the story in the Mirror Network News will be that a demonic cult had been detected in the Imperium, which had intermingled with reactionaries and anti-Imperial forces seeking to undermine the realm through mental corruption and planned terror attacks. Massive summoning efforts had to be undertaken to capture all Demons and the Inquisition is currently still investigating and arresting cultists, collaborators and terrorists. Citizens are reminded to report all suspicious activities and to comply with the orders of Lawmen and Inquisition forces.

Two people can play the propaganda game.

Wow, what a categoric and complete failure of our intelligence network.

Not only do we need new communications protocols, but we have to find out how to monitor any of our equipment for future tampering.

And parts of critical aspects of our social engineering are either completely compromised, or so riddled with security flaws that we can't trust them to remain active until they have been corrected. Additionally, all Enchanters if we learn they actually HAVE been given compulsions, need to not only have Protection from Evil Items given to them, but probably some Black Knight series bodyguards and something with True Sight.

I don't even know where to begin to stop this from happening again, other than securing the Mirrors with some kind of air-gapped system that makes it impossible to ritually attune or even perform basic maintenance on them without specific access methods being bypassed first. If someone tries, they should brick themselves.

I want to know which demon lord is behind this. We'll find a way to gut him.

To be fair this is the first time such a system has ever existed, at least as it's set up at any rate.

The fact that it has security flaws is just par for the course because no system will ever be full proof. The only reason the situation got so serious is that the being doing the hacking is a millennia old fucker who has been doing espionage longer than our entire bloodline has been a thing.

The mirrors were set up to be a propaganda machine, all he did was make it his propaganda machine.

Hell it isn't even like he hacked the hardware, he went straight for the weakest link in any mechanized system, the humans pushing the buttons.

You can have a cryptogram stronger than anything the Necrons could come up with, it wont help if the dude on the payroll takes a bribe to feed his crippling addiction to Malinda at the brothel house.

I am going to have to create so many research actions and throw all manner of paranoid security protocols up on the dart board.

Wow, they really tried the old "let the villain talk about his evil deeds while the microphone is on" trick, exept it's not at all old yet.
This is by the way why we never monologue. Bad habit to get into.

Do you want to compare notes by PM?

Also, should add a note that we blame this building exploding on a Demonic failsafe.

Probably a good idea...

-[X] "Why did that building collapse, gentlemen? THE DEMONS TOLD ME TO." Well, you'll be telling city officials about that unfortunate demonic failsafe that brought the whole thing down. You'll be sure to have an article in the next edition of the broadsheets.

@Azel You know who's probably behind this? Or at least responsible for all the goddamn conjuring? That fucking mage we saw in the Opaline Vault who worked for Tywin. The one with the Mantarys accent.

This is why we don't leave loose ends.

please do tell me the priority for what ya two end up with, on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being "less disgusting shit-Leshy variant fleshcrafted" and 10 being "Gogossos. Like, period."

I'll see what we can reasonably throw outta 4th month for security measures.

Well, and DP's ruling on Progress would be needed, too.

After taking a few dozen chill pills, I have to day exploding the building will be very cathartic, but also rather useless. Lots of collateral damage, few useful people captured, the whole event plastered over propaganda posters made by Abbraxas in the whole Imperium.

[X] As Crakes plan except instead of exploding the building, have Inquisition forces, including a healthy number of reserves, get into positions to take down the mirrors and to cordone off the building you are in. Then use Forbiddance and sweep the whole building, arresting anyone within or connected to it.
