I'm with you on that @egoo. The mindblanked undead seem to be clearly working, or we wouldn't have flipped this from the Shaitan loosing ground to the Shaitan making gains.

@DragonParadox, would fliers be useful here?
I'm tempted to throw the Shaitan an even thousand of Necro Harpies as chaff as a quasi-payment for helping our troops looting the mages.

Yes, but not as much as they could in other environments, burrowers are better under most circumstances.

We should consider trying to get the Shatian to research this with us. Not the eventual outsider conversion or anything, but working on breaking down how the ritual functions with them would be useful. We could sell it as a joint project into examining efreeti reinforcement capabilities and possible counters to similar things in the future without much trouble.

@egoo, would you add this?
-[] Expand the forces deployed by another 20x groups of Black Wardens (9x Black Wardens, 1x Necrotic Mold each) (Cost: 132,000 IM)

I definitely want to help them to keep up the pressure in some way. If we have some free troops next month, we should throw some more murder this way.

Done

@Azel @Goldfish I think the Efreeti response to a force that gives the Shaitan an excuse to become more aggressive about advancing positions would be to commit more Constructs to this area, basically a force which equally lacks morale issues, has low attrition rates (self-healing) and is just as enduring and strong.

We should anticipate that and counter it before it's even an issue.

Man have we ever come a long way from Braavos, now its all about that corpse loots and rituals to make kickass minions. So proud of how much Dragon it all is. Everything is loot. If someone else has it... Its ours, because Dragon.

I would presume that one of the reasons they are unleashing all their uncontrolled Div creations here, instead of doing the whole thing somewhere safe and far away from the frontlines is that they want to spend less troops here, not more.

We don't really know enough about the strategic situation in this location, but it does not look like Div's Delight is rich in natural ressources or population, so they can propably afford to just fall back to where the regular Plane of Fire starts and use their better adaption to the local conditions to hold back further advancement.

On the other hand, it's propably not personally adventageous for any general of the CoB to give up ground so easily, no matter if it's reasonable for the total outcome.

I think if one gives up any ground, they need to have a scapegoat or ten ready.

Politics in the Brazen Throne is less about your successes, and more about how you downplay your failures... usually by avoiding being colored by them at all.

The Div ritual sounded a bit like it relied on local conditions to operate, or at the very least as an optimization. It could easily have been something pulled by the local leadership to solidify their position instead of a directive sent from the top. We need to research the ritual to determine how hard it was to create in the first place and what it actually required before we can make too many strategic evaluations based on it.

From what I gathered, though the updates were very slim on any information, the Efreeti are already using a large amount of Constructs here.

We may want to look into getting our mortal troops some auto regeneration or some saving healing. IE near death, talisman activates restoring some life as a last resort free action.

What we need is minions that act like hydra's. except instead of cut off heads, it simply acts if they die. You kill a minion of ours, it immediately duplicates into two minions, kill another, double that and so on and so on.

Would probably have to be only constructs or undead though. Mortals might have a problem dying over and over and creating dozens or hundreds of living copies of themselves.

Edit: Imagine a hundred Sandor's stomping around and glaring at the enemy. Might end up insane, but oh so worth it.

Healing magic is very common among our troops. We give Healing Belts out like candy, and we provide Healing Salve in large quantities, which is basically an Alchemical version of a Cure Light Wounds spell.
