[X][Training] Abandoned Construction Zone

Ah, the classical training montage at a Construction Yard. It's a great place to do some heavy lifting.

Or get a Monster of the Week battle, whichever comes first.

Not a good start for not telling the baddies about Usagi's secret identity shenanigans (and Naru's awareness of them), for one.

I was kinda surprised at the Tarot Card reading, but as we saw in the episode even outside of plans it is a very usagi thing to do when there's trouble.

I mean, in fairness, the dark kingdom is really not good at this whole "figure out secret identities" thing. I mean, sure, it was Kunzite, not Jadeite, but this is still the faction that:
1. Found a person who knew Sailor V's civilian identity
2. Turned that person into a loyal monster who still remembered Sailor V's secret identity
3. Knows Sailor V=Sailor Venus, both because it's obvious and because he was there when she revealed it
4. And still doesn't know who Sailor Venus is

What I'm saying is, they're not exactly batting 100 on this whole"intrigue" thing.

[X][Training] Abandoned Construction Zone

I enjoyed the update, I'm sure I'll enjoy the chapters more after getting to know the characters and getting more attached to the setting.

It might just be a personal thing, but I've always liked rolls to be in spoilers, or at the end of the sequence it is in relation to. It sort of steals the tension if I know going into the situation that things are going to work out, or what have you.

[X][Training] Abandoned Construction Zone

I liked the update, it helped to better establish the world and the players (useful since my knowledge of the setting is mainly based on an Abridged series I saw several years ago). Umino's pic is an upgrade (in that we can actually see his eyes now). Strange that Mr. Tall Handsome Stranger seems to know a bit about Usagi while she apparently hasn't even learned his name yet even after several encounters. I...do not recall Motoki at all.

And now that I've taken the time to review some of the lore, time for a joke.

"Long ago on a distant moon, I, Beryl, the red-haired Queen of the Dark Kingdom, unleashed an unspeakable evil. But a foolish Princess and her Sailor Guardians wielding magic weapons stepped forth to oppose me.

Before the final blow was struck, Queen Serenity opened a portal in time, and flung their souls into the future, where my evil remains. Now the fools seek to rebuild the kingdom of the past, and thwart the future that is Beryl."

The girl in the sailor suit frowns, she can't see the face of the woman in front of her. The woman is chiding her. Usagi knows from the way that the beautiful woman moves, she is being told off.

If only she could hear the words that the person is telling her. If only she knew what was being said. She could fix the problem. She could make things better. Usagi doesn't know why, but seeing this figure, seeing them frustrated and sad...

It makes Usagi sad. She doesn't want the girl to be sad. She doesn't want the woman to be upset.

Is Serenity upset about our problems with Luna, or is it a more generic thing I wonder? The first one makes sense I think.
"I can't just stand by and do nothing. Not when people might get hurt." Usagi explains a little further. "So I was lying when I said I wouldn't fight anymore."

I would have liked a bit more "I can't do this alone" from Usagi, but this works too
Had I taken your friend's memories... I would have been just as bad as they are

Let's not get crazy Luna, that's completely different!

Intrigued but not entirely sure that she trusted the girl, Usagi gave her a try, and found that Miyo's predictions were far and away more accurate than the old man down in Juban that she normally went to before then. Ever since, Usagi had spread word of the girl around, and within two weeks Miyo's Saturday business had been booming.

another sign of the rather high diplomacy score Usagi has. a few words and she got the girl a lot of clients.

Sure, it's not ALL her merit, but still...
"Miss Tsukino." The psychic says, without even looking up from the tarot spread that she has laid out on the table. "Nearly everyone else has decided to go to the newly opening House of Fortune down in Juban." Miyo explains, "I have a feeling the place is a sham. But you are here for a Fortune, not my complaints about my competitors. Come, sit, sit. Let the cards show your fate."

Normally I'd say all fortunetellers are shams, but this IS a world with magic in it...

Less than stellar score to show her mom, and wants to avoid that for as long as possible. There are dozens of different games all spread through the first floor of the massive building - Games of every shape and size and genre. Arcade shooters and fighting games galore. Everything from House of the Dead to Mortal Kombat, and of course, what kind of Arcade would be complete without at least two separate Dance Dance Revolution games on the floor. (Not Crown, that's for sure.)
You know, I'm still hoping for the arcades to come back, except this time for the VR/AR games. I know there are a few, but they're not that common yet...

"Good afternoon Usagi!" Motoki says with a smile, "How are you this afternoon, happy that school is out for the day?"
..did this guy disappear after the first season? I can't remember him at all after the first few episodes

Good Evening Lovely Listeners, it's the midnight hour, and you all know what that means. It's time for Midnight Zero on FM 10. Tonight we have a very special love letter from a very lucky lady. She's reaching out to a long lost love, hoping to find him once again. This is for you, Hopeful Haruna.

Of course, before I read the letter, I'd like to remind all my wonderful listeners that Midnight Zero always does what it can to help those searching for love; Write to FM 10, and if you read your letter on the air, then we will send you a truly romantic gift to help you find the man or woman of your dreams.

"I know that you aren't going to hear this. You never liked sappy romantic shows like this, but... for so long, I only wrote about you in my old diaries.

Now I find myself only every writing about the old days. I miss you, Darien. I want to see you again, and tell you the feeling I never managed to all those years ago, back when we were in high school."
was this a youma plot too?

why would you need intrigue when you have dark magic?

[X][Training] Abandoned Construction Zone

would we even have the money for the train?

[X][Training] Yuunagi the Coastal City

Not causing problems for construction workers because of a magical accident has my preference.

EDIT: oh, yes, money.

Double edit: Luna seems to be more responsible with money than us.

...I was about to ask where exactly she keeps it, then I remembered the apparently has all sort of interesting artifacts in her hammerspace, like the transforming pen and Ami's netbook.

....obligatory question: Can that netbook play Crysis? :V
Man, even modern computers can't play Crysis properly. In the far future of Star Trek they still can't get Crysis to run properly.
