I don't have strong feelings on the romance either way, but if I had to vote, I'd keep Mathilde's options open. Panoramia and Mathilde's scenes have been nice, but haven't really been what I'm hoping for in a romance.

Cython and the Dolgan are really interesting. I'd love to see more of them, and socialising with them might have practical benefits for the expedition.
I'm nervous about Qrech. He still seems like a bomb that could go off if left unattended. It would be good to check in on him.
Hubert is the only duckling that seems to be struggling a bit, and I feel we still have some responsibility in keeping his interests in mind. I'm sure he'd appreciate Mathilde's checking in.

You can incorrectly appropriate what I said, but that won't stop me from making a point of clarifying that I disagree with your position. I'm tired of the endless grumbling on the topic, not of Panoramia. Her, I like.

Due to the fruaght nature the discussion, and that I held the possiblity that bookworm702 was not reading all the posts in this thread, I was unsure of how to address this element, but yeah.

Spinster? Wow. Way to pick a term that carries (and communicates, and reinforces) cultural implcations of 'unmarried people (specifically women) hold less value than marrried people (specifically women)'

@bookworm702 I assure you, that term peptuates harm. Please examine the underlying perspective that lead you to use that term as opposed to anything along the lines "preferring to stay single"/"aromantic" or the such.

If I may wade into the meta of this for a moment.

A few weeks ago when all this started in earnest I considered Johan and Panoramia the best realistic options. I did not think the dragon had a real chance and better a wizard than a non-wizard. So both flawed but I could live with either, yet I'm not voting for either yes to Panoramia or no at the moment because my motivations now would not be what they would have been two weeks ago. It wouldn't be 'X is fine' but more to the tune of getting this over with and really that is a bad motivation to put in an interactive medium like this, it does not spark interest or engagement, it just feels for all the people that do have positive motivations for one reason or another like you are trying to rain on their parade.

So what I'm saying here guys is that we should perhaps tone down on the negativity, the circumstances are unfortunate enough as is, no reason to rub in that you are just voting to put something on a shelf, especially with the GM already down at feeling like he must choose between thread civility and agency.

You don't like Panoramia, fine, you are not alone.
But there's no need to claim those of us who do vote for her are doing it just out of habit, instead of, you know, liking Panoramia.

I've been wanting to get to know our local halflings better for a while, and the recent update about how the Moot dealt with Marienburg's hired bandits only cemented that.

Best rat has finished his correspondence course, so this feels like a good time to check up on him and what he thinks of his situation and the empire's learning system. I recall some mention of him thinking he should be allowed to eat people he beat in debates...?

Be nice to look in on her and insert ourselves into the 'cool aunt' position. Or more likely, the 'creepy weirdo who shows up once in a while, solves my problems, then vanishes' postion.

I'm not super enthused by this as a social action for social action's sake, but out of pure practicality it'd be very useful to get a better idea of the Dolgan and how they're likely to react to a convoy of dwarven landships instead of the expected chaos horde.
