Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Alright, added comments on translation techs above.

South Wind looks like the best choice imo, unless you're wanting to learn language properly.

[X] [TR] South Wind Blows Unerring: C
[X] Four Winds Messengers: C

As I said, I'm falling on the Comms tech with good range being vital, and then favour Translation instead of Perception given the current circumstances. I think it's a good character choice, and think that between RME and our new talisman we're already doing a decent job on perception and layering more things risks redundancy.... though the utility option there is tempting ngl

edit: ok I'll throw a vote in for four winds bc it's cool

Hmm...

[X] Four Winds Convergence: C
[X] (Alternative) Hidden Wind's Breath: C
[X] Kindred Winds' Communion: C
[X]South Wind Blows Unerringly: C

You would think it would take me longer than 20 minutes to change half my vote, but I guess I am as fickle as the Wind :V

[X] Summer's Cheerful Laughter: C
[X]Common-Breath Zephyr

I'm choosing these two for a few reasons. First, I created Summer's Cheerful Laughter so I have a bias towards it. Secondly, this is the combination of the longest-lasting effects which I value for perception and translation effects. Third, specifically Summer's Cheerful Laughter, this seems to be the only perception tech that also affects social perception, which seems like it would be important if people also want to be dealing with other cultures and languages with the art up and running. Fourth, again specifically for Summer's Cheerful Laughter, is that the technique doesn't actually lose any benefits if there are is no stealthy entities around which seems to be a big focus on all the other perception techniques.

[X] [TR] South Wind Blows Unerring: C

[X] [TR] Stolen Breath Comprehension: C
[X] [TR] South Wind Blows Unerring: C
[X] [Alternative] Warning Wind: C

All the perception arts seem basically pointless to me compared with Canto, as that already gives us Very Far perception. I'd rather have some ability to help other people notice important things so that, say, Hanyi and Zhengui don't get their throats slit again.

thats kinda what Winter's Last Breath does but okay 😛

I feel like Winter's Last Breath is both extremely awkward to actually use and also way too strong. A D-Rank cost for ongoing effect that will eliminate the need for an entire derived trait for the vast majority of encounters that needs to be used ahead of time to do anything? That's just not interesting to read about.

Mmm, yeah the reactivation is probably unreasonable. It's basically a perfect perception tech, and that's fine bc we have a perfect stealth tech, but it needs to be treated as such.
