Lost ,.000 IM (Special edition of the Imperial Times for Saath and its hinterlands)
We spent how much?
Lost ,.000 IM (Special edition of the Imperial Times for Saath and its hinterlands)
8,000.
Seems good. We've got like... 10 or 12 of those to get through.@Duesal @Goldfish @egoo @Artemis1992 @TalonofAnathrax @Azel
Maybe we should get one level-up vote done during the overnight vote? There's a lot of them though, so I was hoping we could do one during the morning vote and the overnight vote for the next few days.
8,000.
Sure, I've no arguments with any of the level-ups I've seen sans Richard's anyway.@Duesal @Goldfish @egoo @Artemis1992 @TalonofAnathrax @Azel

That's great as long as we don't start with Richard.@Duesal @Goldfish @egoo @Artemis1992 @TalonofAnathrax @Azel

Now that we have confirmation that the stabilisation works on pre-existing Undead, I see little reason to have a bunch of scholar-ghosts clad in Warforged bodies.[X] Oversee the return of the Salloshi to their homes
-[X] With Vargo at your side, meet the Salloshi ghosts, and see if you can convince them to take on warforged bodies.
--[X] Though they were originally designed as servitors, this is a new age, and those bodies are effectively immortal. It would give them a chance to walk among the sun, to be with their descendants, and most importantly to push the limits of their craft again.
--[X] They will not be alone in this. Inform them that Queen Namaaru and the majority of her followers in Sathar intend to take warforged bodies, as do those of Mardosh.
You're misinterpreting my reasoning there. I don't care about them being undead, I'm making the offer because if they get corporeal bodies that means a huge influx of expert magical crafters for the Imperium. These are the same men who developed the Warforged in the first place. Instead of being ghostly advisors they could actually be crafting again. Now that we have confirmation that the stabilisation works on pre-existing Undead, I see little reason to have a bunch of scholar-ghosts clad in Warforged bodies.
These guys in Sallosh in particular have been stable and not politically or militarily active for as long as magic has been back, with no harm done that we know of.
How much does it cost for a soulless undead?@DragonParadox, the price to apply the Soulforged Template to a souled undead will be 5 times what it takes to apply it to a soulless undead, right?
That's the number we had agreed on back when this research action was designed at least.

10 IM x HD x CR
While it's not the end of the world if they say no, I'm still making the offer.Bam and done.Ghostly Grasp Feat

Or just a bit of ghost-touch equipment, like gloves?
Doesn't need to be strong enough to use in combat, just to move lab-equipment.
Their incorporeal state is no barrier at all.
Sure thing. Which one should we handle tonight?
Oh wow. That's super cheap for the use we get out of it. Souled undead are obviously more expensive, but with that kind of power it does seem worth it.10 IM x HD x CR
So for souled it should be:
50 IM x HD x CR
This is of course on top of the creation cost, though for the Sarnori, that step is already done. Soulforging a 10 HD, CR 10 caster would thus set us back 5,000 IM.
Come to think of, can't they simply temporarily possess a body? Or just order someone around?Bam and done.Ghostly Grasp Feat

There is a difference betwen merely making an offer or having Mr. Maximal Charisma activly try to convince people. While it's not the end of the world if they say no, I'm still making the offer.
Addind that to the infopost then.

We could make them a dozen low-level undead as lab workers for the spare change in our pockets.
