[X] Crake
We have multiple methods of capturing high threat targets, including Amber Sarcophagus, Sacramental Seal, Chains of Light, etc. If capture is a viable option without needlessly endangering our people, we might go for it.Assuming he can be spotted among the undead army, whats your plan for capture? While I can see plenty of ways we could blast him, I don't see a way to take him prisoner without extreme risk to whatever asset attempts it.
What @Goldfish said. Amber Sarcophagus and Sacramental Seal are excellent for undead capture. That being said, we don't particularly need to capture him, even if a Mythic sacrifice would be nice. Killing him works just as well for us.Assuming he can be spotted among the undead army, whats your plan for capture? We have to do the research either way, it's just as needed for preserving their corpses, while transferring them to Warforged bodies, as it's for getting sacrifice value out of transferring them.Thats going to be a really hard sell. We basically always have a cr15 corpse available, which means we can use them for cr5 creatures. A cr5 forged creature would cost 900IM or 15HD of corpses, which leads to 60IM per hd of corpse. Unless the average value is 2/3 hd or less (way lower than I'd expect), we will be loosing money over just feeding the corpses to the fleshforge. Add that to how much research we would like to do, and that is a lot of resources to give the old gods a nice meal.
Is this just Rina and Malarys, or are you pulling from the center force too? If the former, I'm down for it. If the latter I'd like to hear your reasoning.
If we get an opportunity, sure, but I think trying to make one would be too risky and resource intensive. The first two of those have a very limited range, and I'd expect a wizard to be deep in the enemy ranks. Chains of light has the range, but won't hold him for more than a few rounds, and retrieval would be difficult. We have multiple methods of capturing high threat targets, including Amber Sarcophagus, Sacramental Seal, Chains of Light, etc. If capture is a viable option without needlessly endangering our people, we might go for it.
Oh I would definitely like to capture him. Yss could definitely make us a researcher out of him, I just think that while he is in the middle of a massive undead army is the wrong time to try and force the issue. What @Goldfish said. It's Rina, Malarys and Vee + Teana's Trace, IIRC.Is this just Rina and Malarys, or are you pulling from the center force too? If the former, I'm down for it. If the latter I'd like to hear your reasoning.
It wouldn't be impossible, we can easily clear out the chaff next to him and try for a capture. But at the same time, Queen Namaaru dueling her mortal enemy to a second death for supremacy over all of Sarnor might be enough for another Mythic Rank, and I don't want a sacrifice more than I want that.Oh I would definitely like to capture him. Why the cavalery here?[X] Commit your remaining Heavy Horse and Light Horse from the reserves.
-[X] Three Scout Companies and a reinforced Company of Lancers (I.E 1500~ light horse and 750~ heavy horse).
[X] The Queen's army will try to turn the flank with all forces, allowing her to overrun the center.
-[X] She will seek to slay the enemy commander.
--[X] Bahro will form the anchor of the assault for her forces, punching a hole straight through enemy lines.
[X] Zherys and Varys will try to maintain aerial supremacy with their mounts, and should they achieve it they will bring the hammerblow down in the form of breathweapons, hopefully helping to turn the flank.
[X] The other Companions will assist Namaaru.
-[X] This includes: Rina, Malarys and Vee + Teana's Trace
[X] Commit Nirah to the fight, as well as other minor PCs e.g Arcanums, Misfits, Assassins, Feylords, Fey. They will focus on taking advantage of the chaos to slay enemy mages or minor champions, or otherwise attempting to leverage their power to turn the fight in critical areas.
[X] Hold back the infantry and crossbow companies to commit elsewhere, they are not as mobile and will not be able to benefit from Celestial Banner protection while aiding their undead allies.
Vee: "Hold my Dawn Mead..."It's Rina, Malarys and Vee + Teana's Trace, IIRC.
Zherys is up in the air on Ceraxes.
Edit: Will clarify in the vote.
Why the cavalery here?
They are less than optimal against the monster-heavy part of the enemy army. Which this flank seems to be.
Ultimatly they need infantry to kill if they want to shine.
I mean, it looks like they have infantry too, but a high concentration of warbeasts as well, like the crocodile-drakes Zherys saw last chapter and various others?@DragonParadox Is it solely warbeasts on this flank? I was under the assumption barring some special units, all three sides had hordes of lesser undead.

@DragonParadox
Minor thing, but those animal-headed sourcerous giants from Namaaru's guard where what now?
Will leave out the cavalry.

So the Jhogwin aren't Hill Giants, they're Eclipse Giants?Mechanically they are mummified Eclipse Giants though they were not actually star seer giants who were mummified but more mundane giants invested with esoteric and arcane powers in death. Unlike most undead in Sarnor they were not simply raised by whatever circumstances is at play here, rather the queen had an expedition sent to the Lands of the Jhogwin for a sufficiently powerful foundations for her mightiest palace guards.
