Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

I was thinking that, since our advancing War skill directly allowed us more creative use of our powers (to Yeet the stone and splat a dude), we might be able to gain the Ideal creative solution to static defense through creative War skill boost and maybe Int.

If Wang (or another fortress breaker) is concentrating their energies on breaking through a single point
and we can pull allies large distances instantly with PLR
if Zhengui grapples the hardpoint . . .

can we just move the fortress out of the way? lol

remember the yellow breakthrough of roots and wings, where we held onto both? We wanted the strength to fly our connections with us?

The best solution, if you cannot alter the trajectory of the battering ram, is to alter the placement of the fortification.

like. How much energy goes into an Art that is attempting to not be stopped and attempting to be able to break through large barriers

if you just. Push Bikini Bottom the fortification somewhere else, all that energy is gonna be wasted!

Also! It will help mesh with Zhengui's static playstyle! Movement without motion! Tele-tortoise terror!

I hope we get something like Expression when we do manage to upgrade Woodwind. It'd tie in Sincerity and specialize on composing from the heart which is when Ling Qi's music is at its best. Our Domain already plays Music and it'd be cool if it reflected our mood like how we decrease the temperature and cause shadows to dance menacingly when tense. What if we became so expressive that our very presence played songs for all to hear. It'd fit with Music's role in Ling Qi's Cultivation as our way to affect and communicate with the world around us, only constantly and unabashedly sincerely.

Once we reach Cyan and unlock the ability to split our attention I imagine there'll always be a part of Ling Qi that muses and composes on her mood, her introspective nature culminating in a part of her always analyzing herself. Nobles would find her more approachable when she's wearing her feelings on her sleeves, but would also be endeared and kinda insulted when they can literally hear how she devotes more of her mind to composing/cultivating than participating in the conversation.

..."the best way to counter the thing that people use to counter fixed fortifications is fixed fortification"

This makes perfect sense and is not contradictory at all!
Yes, because by forting up we demand the strategic blasters get into position to destroy the fortifications. That takes time and energy.
Ling Qi, the ridiculous twit had turned herself into a control cultivator, and she seemed like she was actually doing it on purpose now. Between her and her spirits, she was a mobile hardpoint, the sort of officer you hinged battle formations around. That was a bad matchup for duelists like the two of them. In a duel, you wanted a disruptor type to destabilize their constructs and set up, slipping the knife in when a gap came up. In war the best choice was a disruptor keeping them busy and protecting your strategic range blasters well enough to let them burn down the layers of defense through continuous bombardment.
Their blasters have to gain distance to avoid any of our retaliation then systematically try and dismantle our fortifications all while the Imperials are closing in. They have to position their artillery to defeat us when they know hostile reinforcements are coming in from an unknown vector and their standard battle of maneuver is impossible while Ling Qi is fixing them in place around her and the star stone.

We are explicitly the sort of cultivator formations are built around, and that need coordination from multiple specialists to suppress.

TLDR: Would you rather get hit by their artillery when the Dancers pin us in place with ambushes, or get hit by the artillery when our defensive art suites is stacking with the defensive regenerating bulwark Zhengui is building up? Would you rather engage in a battle of manuever against a bunch of burrowing assassins and flying mongols or force them to attack a hardpoint they are less suited to facing?

We work best with our son turning into a volcano with an avalanche mother, lets take advantage of that turning the barbarians into batteries HAHAHA!!!

Isn't our Woodwind an uncapped skill? It didn't change from B->A as far as I remember.
It's uncapped in the sense that the 'line' can go beyond S, but said 'line' is Music, so what is going on is this:
Music C => Woodwind B => Woodwind A => ?? S => ?? SS => ??? SSS
Music C => Vocal B = > Vocal A => ???? S => ???? => ???? SS => ????? SSS

So lets see:
-Twelve Stars - Prioritizes Starstone, expected to attack and secure the stone except for their Fourth Realm who's dueling ours.
-White Sky - Prioitizes Hanyi, expected to go for Hanyi. Hanyi is currently on Zhengui who's with the Starstone
-Y'lith'kai - Priorities unclear, but their actions so far had them beeline Zhengui, presumably because he's holding the Starstone.
-Bardbarian - Aerial bombardment, seems to prioritize Ling Qi.

So
-Fortress up
--Twelve Stars - Attacks Zhengui in the murderball
--White Sky - Attacks Hanyi in the murderball
--Y'lith'kai - Unclear. Their G7 is engaged with Renxiang, but the remainder will probably try to disengage to fight Renxiang, which would be difficult with Zhengui, Hanyi and Ling Qi's tarpit moves.
-Bardbarian - May switch targets but if he can't take down Ling Qi he's not going to have any better luck with Renxiang.

-Support Renxiang
--Twelve Stars - Attacks Zhengui
--White Sky - Attacks Hanyi
--Y'lith'kai - Unclear, may continue trying to get the Starstone, may disengage to support their leader.
--Bardbarian - Joins the Renxiang fight

Well, no better time or place for Ling Qi is there?

Small correction, but the support CRX option specifies that we bring our spirits with us, so we wouldn't be leaving Zhengui with the Starstone. 12 Stars wouldn't be attacking him, they'd be securing the defenseless Starstone.

[X] Assist Cai Renxiang immediately, bringing your spirits with you. Ducal heiress or no, he has three stages on her. He seems to be the only one who can immediately pull the starstone out of play anyway.
