Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
And yes, she has dispels that work well against peers but she is already beginning to run into issues with how Anti-Dispel we were getting back on turn four and a construct-based fighter who uses corruption as his fuel source at G7 is almost certainly going to have some additional resistances that don't rely on just his raw Cultivation bonus. She is going to be spending qi...
What are you talking about

Her entrance just had her completely dispel a huge chunk of the G7s constructs, and that's his biggest means of attacking. He's not going to be able to launch attacks at anyone else while dueling Renxiang, and his own kit will be heavily restricted in turn

Ling Qi can handle the barbarians buff train, as shes only used 1 LW slot, and 1 slot of the Mists isolation effects

If Ling Qi wanted she could make a go at isolating or LW every other peer or less enemy on the field right now and have good odds of success.

I hope Renxiang doesn't get lured too far from us. With the other vote, I don't think we'd be able to actually focus on helping her as Abeo said.

[X] Assist Cai Renxiang immediately, bringing your spirits with you. Ducal heiress or no, he has three stages on her. He seems to be the only one who can immediately pull the starstone out of play anyway.

The 12 Stars faction seems to be interested in the Rock above all else, where the Rock goes, they go.

The White sky faction has only shown interest in Hanyi and Ling Qi, if they do make any move, it will probably be against us personally.

The Shishigui faction is trickier, they're going to be divided between securing their Rock and helping their leader/ally. Let's say Bardbarian is most likely to go after us personally, the Dancers have a 60/30 chance of helping their boss over securing the Rock (especially since they haven't had much luck fighting us so far), and the other two Barbs have a 60/30 chance of going after the Rock over helping their ally.

The perimeter guards will probably continue helping their fellow Barbs go for the Rock instead of interfering in a duel way out of their weight class to help someone they consider a demon.

Sect forces are trickier, but I think most of them will default to securing the Rock since that will either be where most of the fighting is or we've left it completely undefended.

If we guard the Rock best case scenario is we keep everyone focused on us, the White Sky sit on their hands too long, CRX gets an uninterrupted duel, and Sect forces arrive to back us up before we get overwhelmed. Worst case scenario is that the Shishigui faction all break away to help their boss/ally, but we can't do anything about it because White Sky decides to help 12 Stars crush us. In that case Ling Qi and CRX both have a very bad day.

If we go help CRX best case scenario is most everyone stays focused on the Rock, but can't figure out how to move it before Sect forces arrive, with us backing up CRX she crushes the G7, and White Sky sit on their hands too long. Worst case scenario is the Shishigui faction and White sky follow us to CRX and crush us while the 12 Stars fly off with the Rock unopposed before Sect forces arrive. 12 Stars has 8 guys airborne who are between G3 and G5, I would not be surprised if they summoned a tornado to carry it off or something, it's not much crazier than what we did.

If things do go in a poor direction for us on defense, Sect forces are more likely to come to our aid even if it's only to secure the Rock. If things go poorly for us on offense CRX may have a guarantee of survival, but Ling Qi and her spirits don't, and I'm not as confident we'll get enough reinforcements to count if they are more worried about the defenseless Plot Rock.

For these reasons, and narrative stuff with Zhengui and all our training with Wang Chao, I think defending the Plot Rock is best.

Even if the Sect forces sit on the rock after they arrive rather than assist with the actually relevant fights (why?) Then that just frees up Ling qi to go ham on whichever side appears to require her assistance the most

Besides, Ruan Shen will be with them along with a couple.other G4 peers

Those will not be a small.contribution

That's pretty heavily misrepresenting my point. If we leave the Rock undefended then there will be a heavy barbarian presence guarding it/trying to run off with it. Sect forces will want to stop that whether the CRX fight is going well or not. If we are guarding the Rock then we almost definitely need reinforcements no matter how well things are going and we will be a natural hardpoint to rally around. I am not suggesting the Sect reinforcements will 'sit on the rock and ignore relevant fights.' The Rock will be the nexus of a relevant fight no matter what happens. And if reinforcements arrive and give us the breathing room to assist a flagging CRX next vote that's great.

Hah gonna take more than that to purify star stone reality hurling bullshit
now if it was Shenhua that'd be a different story

Why would you think Liming's dead?
Cai Renxiang did a "tap into Liming's power" ritual thing to power her artillery.

I'm pretty sure that's something Liming's built to do repeatedly myself, but I can see how it might be read otherwise.

As to the star stone, yeah, I doubt it's purified - more likely we might have a time limit for how long CRX's target zone stays impervious to Shishigui earthmoving techniques.

"Ling Qi," Cai Renxiang said, glancing to her. "Do you believe that you can halt their advance."

"If that is really all they have, I can probably take them myself," Ling Qi replied with some confidence. "However…"

Cai Renxiang nodded sharply. Both of them expected something more dangerous lurking in their midst. "Allow me to rephrase, are you confident in advancing ahead to slow them?"

Ling Qi felt a little pride, knowing that Cai Renxiang thought well enough of her to believe that she could hold out even with the potential unknowns. "Yes," she replied simply.
From Foreshock 5-1, otherwise known as "When BINO struck". CRX trusts LQ even with so many potential unknowns then and I think that trust only grew from there. It does not change my vote, but should be considered for the rest of the fight and further votes.

I will note that the line about patriarch Li doesn;t indicate that he was killed by the initial attack. You can't really oneshot a cultivator with Sovereignty. You can wound and cripple them such that it turns any potential battle heavily in your favor.

Ling Qi felt the pulse of radiant qi, beginning from Cai Renxiang's dantian, it was quickly absorbed into her gown. The dress spirit let out a terrible animal howl, there was no physical sound, but attuned as she was to the expressions of the soul, it struck Ling Qi like a wave. The pulse redoubled as it flowed out from Liming, and into the hilt of the saber in her hand. The blazing sword cackled in a silent voice of pure bloodlust as a star was born at its burning tip, and the technique Renxiang had channeled was redoubled yet again.

Then she brought her blade down, and the world in front of them vanished in light. The light thundered down from the sky, consuming a perfect circle a quarter kilometer in radius. When it faded, trees and plants were gone and the earth was bleached white, but as the blinding light faded, a violet missile roared out, forcing Cai Renxiang to twist to the side as it roared through where she had been. It was not enough however, as the whole of it exploded outward into a cloud of dense noxious mist. Even Ling Qi had to flit away, so far did it spread.
From the BINO fight. Liming empowered CRX created a perfect circle quarter kilometer in radius. CRX is now stronger than ever. Her potency and Range of Effect in this fight against the Shishigui and Cloud Nomads will surely be greater than ever before.
Ling Qi's hands grasped his shoulders, and for a single moment that seemed to stretch on far longer, she met his golden eyes, so much like those of her best friend, as he half turned his head. Then the Call to Ending fell from her lips. It was not so much a note or a melody as its opposite, a deafening, all consuming silence impressed upon the world.

She felt the insidious chill of the Hoarfrost Refrain in his blood flare up, and saw his skin split open, weeping half frozen blood, she felt the veins bursting and his lungs contracting in the impossible cold. She saw his eyes mist over with crystals of frost. Sharp spikes of stony qi erupted from his back, his last wild lashing out slamming into the barrier of a hastily thrown up DeepWood Vitality. It threw her back, and she caught herself as it flung her to earth, skidding backward on her heels and digging furrows in the earth as his frozen, stiff limbed form flew overhead, no longer resisting the force of her liege's technique.
Just to point out the obvious, Green is the stage where Landscapes will be redrawn. What LQ describes as furrows could, from a mortals perspective appear far greater in circumference. Everyone is their own unreliable narrator after all. LQ is nothing if not focused in her fight. Also, CRXs techniques seem to have some force as either their way to do damage or a side effect. Either Way CRX will make sure our enemies will not get near us and the stone, should she so wish to do so.
I think that I may only strive as high as I do because of their successes," Her liege replied, and Ling Qi remembered a veiled spirit, speaking wistfully of packed streets, as if they were an accomplishment in and of themselves. "This is not a goal that can be obtained in one person's lifetime, even a cultivators. We must act…" Cai Renxiang paused then, furrowing her brows.

"Cai Renxiang?" LIng Qi asked, forgetting in the moment to use her title.

"...I have perhaps realized something," Cai Renxiang said distractedly. "Regardless, Ling Qi, you acted to defend and avenge our people today. However painful you found it afterward, you did not hesitate when it mattered. I know more surely than ever that I did not chose wrongly in extending my offer to you. The path I have chosen is not one that can be walked alone, no matter how I strive, or how strong I grow, the world will not bend to one woman's will, not for long."
That is the moment CRX told LQ she can´t walk this path alone and she considers LQ highly as a person afterwards. Considering the BINO fight was similar to this fight, in that the objective is trapping the enemies and making sure no one escapes I would not be surprised if CRX takes cues from LQ in this fight or centers her own strategy around us. LQ has shown admirable skill in the BINO fight after all.
