I didn't say it will turn into a ground fight. What I said is the sect is committing forces that fight on the ground. There's no mention of a "main force," since all we know from Renxiang is that the Sect is getting a group together for the mission. But do you honestly think, given everything we've seen from the Cloud Tribe on their tactics and arts, that this will actually turn into a ground fight? Because the idea that there's assuredly going to be this large group of lower level cultivators for Zhengui to protect doesn't appear to have very much ground to stand on, given it looks like we might be heading up into the mountain range that Liao Zhu and Ling Qi scouted before.
And I guess I'm just taking note of this, given how vehemently you've argued in the past for Zhengui, and what you've accused the opposing side of.
We know this is true because a) it fits with imperial combat doctrine, b) a purely aerial force would by necessity be a chiefly Cyan+ force by composition, in which case they wouldn't bother with lower realms or allowing us and Cai Renxiang to join because we'd just be a political liability not contributors, and c) force compositions are virtually always pyramidal, which suggests, because we can conclude there will be any 3rd realms present by our own presence, that the numerical majority of the force will be 3rd realms. Who can't fly.
Why the sect is committing this force of mostly non-fliers, or how they expect to contribute to the assault and capture of the enemy, I don't know specifically. We'll have to see. But this is what the sect plans on doing. It's also what they mostly do with fighting barbarians, simply due to the reality that the sect's forces are mostly non-fliers by the numbers. The Sect is very accustomed to carrying out operations against the Cloud nomads using non-flying forces. Again, we'll have to see what this looks like exactly, but it's something we know they do all the time.
I realize you have a bone to pick with me, but it would help your position if you could actually support it. Or if you took the effort to understand what other people's positions actually are. Or, frankly, if you wouldn't pollute the thread with this kind of pettiness in the first place.
