Picking a place parts of the party can't go is a power game, he wants to make us follow his rules and let his sensibilities govern our diplomatic party's composition.

We're the aggrieved party here, he can meet us on neutral terms or break the rules for the place he does want to meet. If he doesn't like it he can eat a major curse level compulsion to shave his own beard and figure out how to break it on his own.

Solution: We cast Polymorph on all the female Companions we want to take with us to genderbend them, and un-do that afterwards.

But jokes aside, I don't give afuck about them, nor their god.
We can kill both, after all.

He is a high priest of an actual magic-granting god.
I assume he can break Curses.

Better just remove the hair in a more direct, if less humiliating manner.
It only needs to work once to be humiliating. Point taken though, if it doesn't work we can just burn it off for him.

I do think we should do the beard curse on anyone from Norvos who we can identify as a participant who we can't just off for being a bandit. That seem like the kind of thing that'll make them back off more quickly than threatening to kill them.

[X] Flatly reply that as the aggrieved party, he can meet us on neutral terms, or breach the proscriptions for the place he does desire the meeting to occur in. Let it be known beforehand that refusal to bend that much will be taken as an indication of rank contempt, and he can expect our response toward a refusal to address the Imperium's greivances immediately.

I thought the whole reason we didn't come in guns blazing is because we wanted to do this non-violently?

Don't get me wrong I'm all for the thread's sudden bloodthirsty nature, I'm just confused and pleasantly surprised.

By the way, this whole thing reeks of a trap. "Only carry half your party to my holy place of power"

We can still murder the everliving shit out of him, but he doesn't know that.

We could demand them meet where we will conduct the negotiations in our true dragon form. A not so subtle reminder that Dragon king is more than a title. Dont poke a Dragon for any reason least of all a huge Red dragon.

There's no benefit toward playing these petty power games at all from the start. Failure to be direct about our grievances will just result in the meeting taking hours and it basically being polite veiled attempts to say that they are absolving themselves of all responsibility and if we don't like it we can suck eggs.

If they want to say that, they can say it now so that we can move on and enforce a complete trade embargo on Norvos, explicitly stating via Mage's Declaration that it was the pride of the High Priesthood which resulted in it.

Fair enough. Hoping this turns into a combat encounter, it's been too long since we've conquered something.

Seriously, we aren't here to discuss adding a bearded temple to SD, or to settle a trade dispute. One of this guy's people has been sponsoring the murder of Imperial Citizens within our borders.

One of the oldest duties of a government is to stop that kind of shit and - if needed - kill everyone responsible. If he doesn't respect the gravity of this situation then he should get out of politics because he has no place leading any kind of polity.

@DragonParadox , since the name of the god is revealed to initiates, which are not under mindblank, can't we just divine it?
I am guessing it is revealed via holy ritual, which allows the name to be obscured from even this form of indirect foresight.

And these rituals would have been first made in a time of high magic, therefore they were carried out unto today and continue to serve that original purpose.
