  • Goal here is to prep as much as possible before assaulting the Capital next turn: @Burn-The-Candle's insight on this point was very well-taken.
  • Anything Else We Miss is chosen to make sure there are no nasty surprises elsewhere on the planet for us, and maybe we'll get something useful out of it. Sadly, the only Hero we can use to even help with this action is Horatio, and he's got more important things to do, so we'll have to do our best without heroic failure mitigation. +10 on this action.
  • Explore the Flayer Vessel has both our Heroes who can help with Charity actions on it (also, we're sending our pirate queen to plunder a ship, which delights me on a spiritual level) and two domains thanks to our adorkable chuuni sister. +40 on this -- I didn't think Manpower would be useful here, because while maybe we'll get some living metal out of this, I seriously don't think that's biosciences that will benefit from Weavers of Life.
  • Prepare for War to protect our civvies before the SMs arrive. Dana gives a +10 and heroic failure mitigation to this, and I think Healers Without Borders should give an extra +10.
  • Training the Troops is necessary if we want an actual infantry force who can attack and take territory when we assault the Capital -- Alectai confirmed that either Vanguard or Rifle would fit the bill, but that Rangers would be ineffective in this role. Of the two, Vanguard Doctrine is definitely the better option: it is explicitly called out as being extremely effective against most human formations. +45 on this action from three domains, a Hero, and an omake bonus, plus the failure mitigation of Horatio.

I don't think anything else we miss if worth the roll honestly, but I can see why people would be concerned and this only puts one favor token on and two manpower. We have manpower to burn this turn.

I prefer the plan that gives us at least a 50% chance to Miracle the Flayer ship as well as at least a 40% chance to Miracle the Vanguards.
