That's still very nice. CR 17 Super Troll with 5th level Cleric spells is no joke. He could be a valuable ally.
As a master ward crafter, would be be available for other projects? We would have no shortage of work for him.

It can be taken as a given that the troll's honesty has been checked as thoroughly as your divination allows as well as though every source available about him. I just couldn't show all that stuff because I have limited screen time to work with.
Ironically, the fact that our first interaction was him taking a swing at Rina makes him more trustworthy rather than less.
