That must be an intersting job.

Day 1: Little Devil is trying to get accurate numbers from the savage riders
Day 50: Ink Devil is riding with the Khal on a Nightmare, throwing paperballs with Explosive Runes at his foes.

What exactly do you mean here?
1. I think Rhango needs proper accounting for his forces and Explosive Rune sounds like a good way to make it happen.

2. I'm torn between letting Hermetia, Zherys, Rhealla or Garin use him as minion for their respective tasks. He needs oversight for now, especially since he is best suited for Intrigue, but I don't know what everyone will be doing.

[X] Plan Devil Wrangling
-[X] 10x Gaav / Lesser Host Devils
--[X] They will serve as teleporting messengers and couriers under the Erinyes, who will ensure their good behaviour.
-[X] 9x Ink Devils
--[X] 3x SD Library (oversight by Erinyes)
--[X] 2x Mantarys Scholarium (oversight by Archons)
--[X] 2x a non-critical clergy job in Volantis (oversight according to Zherys suggestions)
--[X] 1x accounting duties under Salladhor Saan
--[X] 1x accounting duties under Khal Rhango
-[X] 1x Falxugon / Harvester Devil
--[X] Have him work as patsy for Intrigue work
-[X] 3x Legion Devil
--[X] Assignment with the previously recruited Legion Devils as combat reserve for the Inquisition.
-[X] 1x Gelugon / Ice Devil and rest
--[X] Leading a sabotage and asymmetric warfare force in the PoF (details TBD)

Can't plan out the details for the force until I'm home.
You left off the 10 Vengeance Devils we recruited. I think they would make good Inquisition assets, as they have a wide range of complementary abilities.

you you deliver a warning to meddle not in the affairs on the world under the sun and a swift banishment.
For fucks' sake.

I should have known better and argued for Azel/goldfish to add a clause of killing them. We had a precedent set with the previous batch of non-erynie Devils we recruited, after all.

It is not permanent, but at least it's fuckjng safe.
Uuuuuuurgh.

I'm deeply dissatisfied with this.

Killing or Banishment is really no big difference in these cases.
I'd be fine with either, though I prefer Banishment a bit.

I don't really mind it. We presumably get their names before they leave, so they know they're fucked if we hear about them messing with us again.

Killing and banishment are only distinct in that killing demotes them. Given that these devils are very few in a very large army the tactical considerations of that are minimal

I want them for the PoF force.

Speaking of that, what do we have any spare Belts of the Wide Earth? And how are the Liquid Ice stocks?
We have plenty of Liquid Ice stocked, along with a bunch of other Alchemical goodies. Who do we need Boots of the Wide Earth for? We can definitely craft some if needed, but there are currently none on the schedule and none in the Armory.

Are all 10 of the Vengeance Devils needed in the PoF? A few working in the Inquisition could be very helpful. They've got an unusually broad array of useful SLAs for their CR rating.

Killing = they have to be restored either by time (and a several years' reprieve isnt all that bad), or a direct attention from their Archduke (who is Mammon, so that is highly doubtful).

Banishment allows them to return straight back to doing... whatever they were doing.
No doubt worthy of stopping in it's tracks though, since, well, Devils.

The only ones I wouldn't kill off and Banish instead are those fighting on the forefront of the Blood War -
And those are mostly beholden to the one Archduke we aren't even willing to summon devils of, even though we know their names.

Even after all this time, and losing a lot of interest in the stuff I was invested in before, this rubs me a wrong way.
Half the point of summoning Mammon's devils was to mess with his ops all around.
By returning the agents who refuse we do less damage than we would have.

:/

Killing means they have to spend time reforming in the Hells' energies, does it not?

We do less damage, yes, but by putting the offer of banishment next to recruitment, we straight up steal more devils from Mammon than we otherwise would.

That's a pretty fair bargain, IMO. This way there are more devils actively working against him.

I want to get some side-along Teleporting on that group.

How about 4 Asssasins to the Inquisition?

*Inquisitorial gathering*

*Several Orphne Feylords, some Devils, a few regular Planetosi citizens, and a bunch of shadow cats sit at a table*

Garin: *putting his head in his hands* ...what the fuck have they turned my baby into?

[:V]
I wont mind, albeit I'd like to have them oversighted by someone who isnt already hella busy like the Inquisitors tend to be...

The Seekers-to-be feel left out. :p
Either that or some higher ranking devil pays the price to reform them faster , on the scale of the armies of Hell either expense does not matter that much, at least when it comes to random devils you guys called up to recruit or had knocking about in the larder.
@DragonParadox, do any of the current summons have any luck in getting the names of more Mammon Erinyes?

Four is plenty.

Boots of the Wide Earth only work with spellcasters able to expend 5th level or higher spell slots. Won't do any good with SLAs or lower level slots.

The thing being, they arent as random as one would think - we summon them all by association with the Devils we captured before.
Most of them as such are related to the plans the captured ones worked on - and will likely return to doing their nasty shit once banished.

But, whatever.
I've been playing this from a PoV of "DP may like to fuck us over if we arent sufficiently paranoid about Devils, at some point", but you seem to have no interest on going at it at least from this direction.

I was thinking about sending the two Very Old Myrkdreki who don't yet have an assignment along. They have the necessary slots.

Though I'm puzzling over how to get planar adaptations rolled out.

Taking off my GM hat for a moment to speak as a writer, you guys should absolutely be suspicious of devils in general like the plans of the Archdukes and Big Red, but random devils with no build up and so far not even a name are not going to become powerful antagonists or anything.

There are straight up Boots of Teleport, though those would obviously be more costly.
Much more costly, but that can be arranged, too, if necessary, @Azel.

Numbers will need to be limited, though, as we don't have many crafters of a high enough level to make them and each 3/Day usage pair is eight times more expensive than a pair of Boots of the Wide Earth.

Like a small tiny iron cog in an over-engineered murder machine.

I've actually been thinking about getting them for Garin and Waymar as well. It seems like a good resource for both to have since neither will get to spells of the Fifth Circle.
