Some stuff found in the North ages ago. Something something talismans from some thing. See the Larder tab in the sheets, I'm just reading from there.

Also, since there seems to be no great interest in the Gelugon, it's straight to the pyre.

[X] Plan Holy Smoke
-[X] Give the Efreeti to Melisandre to sacrifice after interrogating them.
-[X] When Melisandre does so, sacrifice the Gelugon from the Larder to Burny while you are at it.
-[X] Also sacrifice the 3x Ala Talismans and 1x Arson Ice-Axe
Ah, I see those now. Had forgotten about them. Also see that the Ice Axes are different from Rising Sun in the Armory. Rising Sun is something we should give to an axe wielder rather than sacrificing it, but we do have another Others-tainted Ice-based cursed item we could sacrifice.

Icy Chain (Caster Level: ???)
Description: This chain can be worn as an amulet or a belt. It grants the bearer the Wintertouched feat as a bonus feat, as well as Immunity to Compulsions in a living bearer, or Immunity to Rebuking in an Undead. In exchange, however, it binds the soul to a power more malicious than most would-be slavers could hope to be. The bearer has to make a will save (DC 15 +1 per week) once per week or fall under the thrall of the Others forever after. This item can only be removed via Wish or Miracle and if the bearer is already in Winter's thrall, it would take another Miracle or Wish against a high caster level check, or a divine intervention to free him.

What I just noticed is that the Gelugon is immune to Fire, despite being Ice themed. This actually makes him rather neat for operating in the PoF.

How about we toss him some undead minions and let him work as their commander, supporting other PoF operations? That would minimize the potential betrayal problems and Undead are disposable chess pieces for him to use as he pleases, so no risk there either.
Sounds good.
Honestly, Plane of Fire is a great way to dump various forces we don't really need or want near our actual interests.

Wait, @Azel, the three Ala talismans are being used by the Djinn to research how to put the Mettle feat on an item (if worn by a scion of Winter they grant Mettle & Evasion). Are they done yet? Did DP confirm?
Huh. Taking them out then. I thought they were available since they are in the DoC stockpile.

Ah... I'm pretty sure Burny will appreciate that one.

Because people were pretty meh on recruitment, or at least that was my impression, so like a good Pokemon, he was sent to the professor to be ground up for candies.
... Dude.

That was just that -- some people. The ones who voted for you, for the most part, wanted to recruit that devil.

I would have been far more vocal about it, but I'm distracted now that my cousin is staying with me while recovering from surgery. I didn't realize soon enough that you'd tossed him to sacrifice.

Look. I try to live what I preach, so pokemon go to the grinder.

I don't mind sacrificing the Gelugon. It's a powerful Devil, but it's also an extremely ambitious and deceitful breed, not to mention intelligent enough to pull off it's schemes. They're specifically known for being able to plan around the restrictions placed on them by their masters.

Which is why I would have loved to have a Falxugon to test the waters. Much less powerful and skilled.

Hm...

We do have that accomplice Devil, but I think that's Asmodeus'.

I am against recruiting Devils unless they are actually needed. A Gelugon is not any stronger that the stuff we can build in the Flesh Forge, anyway.

I'm sure we'll have another opportunity. Mammon reigns over one slice of infinity. Infinite minions to loot.

On a side note, @DragonParadox, more Erinyes please.

He rules over a slice of a slice of infinity. I don't think that all of Erebus obeys him. There must be unaffiliated devils and wild lands even there.

Otherwise we would simply beat the game if Asmodeus offers us his place (yes, I think that it can happen eventually)
