Craft Mortal and Divine
Elsewhen, Elsewhere
Meraxes had seen much in her long life, of that you have no doubt. Though the insights of divinity may have faded from her thoughts there are doubtlessly many boons she might grant that others could not.
Is reviving anything of that legacy something you should be doing given the conversation you have just had? You cannot help but wonder.
"Maybe we could reforge a legacy instead," Dany muses and with that you have your answer.
"Dragonsteel, can you make it more potent?" you ask as though to empty air. "An affinity to flame and one for battle when it is dedicated to a specific foe and perhaps the power to harm spirits, bonded to its ethereal reflection." Such weapons could never be handed to every legionnaire, but having them in the hands of Inquisition agents and others who could reasonably be expected to fight esoteric foes, yes that would serve you well.
"I am not a craftsmen," the answer comes, slow and deliberate.
"Yet my purpose is to weave the flame into being before it can kindle too bright. I shall attempt what you ask. In a moonturn, perhaps two, you will have your seed of steel."
The four of you bow to the once-goddess before departing, not to her power, nor even the knwolege she showed, but to her dedication above all.

Nineteenth Day of the Twelfth Month 293 AC
The return to wakefulness and to Sorcerer's Deep in particular comes with welcome news. Xor and Velen had manged to acquire much of the runic lore you had hoped for above other treasures from one of the barrows they had opened, but there were still many others waiting to be searched. Though the Thenns and the raiders from the Frostfangs have both searched through the ancient tombs for treasure, some yet remain untouched holding lore and peril in equal measure.
"No offense to the Old Gods, but this will be a great deal easier for most people to parse out than what they gave me and the ways they did it," Lya says looking over Xor's notes.

Working together the gentle spectator and the phoenix had also managed to lull the tormented earth spirit to uneasy slumber. You would have to find a more permanent solution soon though, certainly before evacuating Thennhold. It would have to be done soon too. Beasts had started vanishing from their flocks as the cold wind sweeps down from the mountains and on more than one night alchemical flame drove back dead things lurking beyond the reach of the wardstones.

OOC: Not the best roll for rune lore, but I figured the better Dragonsteel with no research time needed compensates.
