At least you guys get to have it recognized as one pathogen or the other.

Here we get whatever penned in as "flu" by the doctors 90% of the time, regardless of symptoms- simple because that'd be bad statistics/lack of actual tests in hospitals (lack of funding/corruption) to see if it's a virus or not.

...Not to say it matters anyway, since it's basically a regular pneumonia with no particular way to better treat it just yet.

This is where I am too basically, not quite as bad since Romania is an EU state so there is some sort of cooperation for the ridiculously corrupt and incompetent authorities to fall back on but...

Let's just say it's hard to be optimistic about their quarantine methods. People over here generally avoid the hospitals because of the scandals with antibiotic resistant bacteria getting passed around. Adding in a new highly contagious pandemic just seems like overkill.

@DragonParadox
Since Tiamat's connection to this world recently suffered a bit, could someone who had nothing better to do, like a dead god, keep track of when and where she acts/speaks/empowers on our Plane?

Not expecting her to fight Granny or anything like that, just a warning when she makes new priests and tries to rebuild her local assets. She is by narrative anti-Tiamat, so she possibly has a bonus there.

Not really, she isn't a proper god with the right senses.

[X] Have her bless a piece of Valyrian steel to change it into a conduit to build the physical aspects of the Imperial Pseudo-Deity.

Cutting some research time.

I was going to propose something along the lines of empowering the future Imperial Deity, but that works.

It needa an incentive. Like we shall return that power once the 15th is destroyed or something like that

If we build that particular barrel of divine power juice, she will profit from it too.

It's an investment on her part, not a gift.

Blessing anything Valyrian is probably too risky, the whole purpose of this is her spending her power, so the 15th has less to mirror, if she spend it on something Valyrian, then the 15th can probably mirror that thing.

We especially don't want it to be a piece of the Imperial Deity, as we really don't want the 15th to somehow manage to mirror it.

The ideal would be persuading her, to give the dangerous amount of power she's accumulating, to another Imperial Deity for safekeeping, who would then give it back to her(minus a small percentage as a storage fee) once the 15th has been sent to his final death, as converting her energy to Yssian or old god energy, would almost surely break any chance of it still being linked to the 15th.

That would actually be my ideal scenario, she tithe any energy she get to Yss, with a promise that he will give 80% or so of it back, once the 15th is sent to it's final rest, this ensure that the power is utterly cleansed of 15th taint, and Yss owing her a stockpile of energy, will mean that once it's safe for her to return, she will recover much faster.

I wonder where the rest of the Fourteen are. I mean even dead gods have some remnant somewhere and praying to them never seemed to stop so...they are probably around.

[x] Have her make a deal with Yss, he store any energy she get, in return for a percentage of said energy, and will use the energy given to him, to help her ascend back to proper godhood, once the 15th is confirmed to be fully annihilated.

Still in Valyria, probably. If worshipers were enough, then Balerion would have made his way to Malarys somehow before he fully made the transition to Concept Cleric of the Law.

Using Yss like a battery is very weird. Also, fundamentally the same as my plan, just that we make actual progress towards the Pseudo-Deity with mine.

I think his concern lied more with the use of Valyrian Steel, something connected to the Fifteen. Hence why he is asking Yss to hold on to the power. Though I would prefer the power to go to our Imperial Diety than anywhere else.

If VS is sufficiently connected to be a problem, we're already screwed. As for what I'm proposing, it's an entirely new material based on VS. Originally it was supposed to be called Imperial Steel and the result of a bunch if research. Old plans from back when.

@Azel, do we really want another God as the foundation for out Imperial pseudo-deity? Don't we want it to be fundamentally ours?
It would be fundamentally ours. The more gods there are cooperating in this, the less influence each individually has within the arrangement.

Valyrian Steel in of itself isn't actually Valyrian, people just think it is.

It hails back to the Long Night when the Red Dragons gave Azor Ahai the first dragonsteel blade.

I agree. Maybe make some lawfully aligned metal and infuse that?

Did they?
Didn't we hear of first Dragonsteel appearing after Azor effin died?
Ergo the theory that the "seed" of first VS was the broken Sword of Dawn?

Valyrian Steel is just a name, the metal was not invented by them. The ones who invented it were the Red Dragons before them.
Was that confirmed?

@DragonParadox, could you say something on this before this devolves into fearmongering?

Is VS a conduit for the 15th?
Oh really? In that case, it would be a decent enough container. I was just under the impression that it was connected to the Fifteen.
Yes, twice.

1. When we talked to R'hllor
2, In this update, one of the Claws of the Winged Masters is garbed in dragonsteel either centuries or millennia before Valyria rises.

Dude, that's still millennia before Valyria rose. The Red Dragons ruled the Fourteen Fires long after the Long Night receeded.

I'm just arguing the exact point when we heard of VS appearing, not whether it was made by the 14.
