  • [X] Have Blackheart brought before you. Offer him a stay of execution if he cooperates. If he does, pending interrogation for any lingering contingencies he might be aware of, he will be placed on provisional house arrest, pending good behavior, and then an Inquisition minder thereafter, but he will be as free as most other citizens of the Imperium.
-[X] We will also examine him before even making the offer rather closely to determine whether or not Lizzirth would have reason to distrust him. Depending on the degree of distrust we will decide if it is a wise idea to make him the messenger.

In the meantime, what was our stance with Norvos, again? @Crake?

I haven't been keeping all that close an attention...

Does the current plan of strategic encroachment include subjugating it and Lorath before Westeros - and setting up a whole lot of anti-troop and anti-Eldritch units along the border with Quohor for the duration of the Reconuest?
And the above aside, I'm still firmly of the opinion we should infiltrate the Quohori forge in guise of Asmy's agents (under lots of other, pointedly perceivable guises ofc) and sabotage the shut out of it, before setting to Westeros.

The thing is just fucking scary strategically, if it is even a quarter of the power of Gogossi/Lys' one.

Norvos doesn't like us, and they've been persecuting pro-Viserys R'hllorists. It's Lorath that's on the verge of joining us.

It's difficult to imagine us being able to deal with Norvos or Qohor before Westeros. I picture those two as both individually months long projects in order to subjugate and then subsequently administrate effectively, with ongoing sabotage, sedition and credible, insidious, subtle threats to chase and be outwitted by. We know nothing about either city for the most part and are only just now starting to edge towards getting a foothold there.

Honestly, the extent of my 'plans' for Qohor go as "use the map we have to get down to the forge, blow it up, stop worrying about Qohor turning the forge on while we are busy with Westeros".
Dealing with the rest of Qohor shall, indeed, wait awhile.

Can we do that much?

I meant basically the same thing when mentioning "deal with illithids in a month or two" every time before.

Specifically attacking the Saghuain facility (and it alone, really) as the "drown you in shit if you let them breathe"- just like the fleshforge seems to be to me.

G'night everyone.

You know what I think we do need to work on before we attack a hardened, major facility of the Deep Ones?

Ward Smashers. I don't mean breakers, or magic shunts, or even just bombs, I mean KKVs with a disjuncting tip rammed into defensive wards repeatedly.

Something that would work extremely well with that is the ritual the Xorn have to wither away bilestone. If we manage to weaponize that we can do a lot of pinpoint damage to their fortifications right where we want it.

Bringing Lorath into the fold should be relatively simple, and is something I would prefer to handle before moving on Westeros. In the meantime, we can have our other assets investigating Norvos and Qohor, gathering intel, conducting targeted sabotage if called foe, etc., as needed, while the conquest of Westeros is underway.

Yeah, if we can smash through the hardened outer defenses, we very fortunately can use copious amounts of undead to strip away their more ablative defenses, and have plenty of high level casters who can improvise a solution for their smaller-scale inner sanctum warding.

You know, all it takes is putting some time aside for Lya to enchant steam cannon projectiles with Disjunction. Which is incidentally something that would tremendously useful against the CoB defenses.

That's not possible until she can cast 9th level spells. She's 5,561 XP away from that milestone.

I'm still wary of weaponizing Mage's Disjunction, BTW. It could be very effective, but I would prefer if it simply didn't exist in the setting.

Could have sworn she had levels already...

As for Disjunction, it exists and you hesitance won't change that.

We've had it thrown at us repeatedly. We may as well start using it too.

Actually it's never been used against us. Varys a scroll of Mate's Disjunction when we captured him, but we never have him a chance to use it. We still have that scroll.
Wasnt there supposed to be a vote for level ups?
Was gonna put one together for Sharra, but got sidetracked IRL.

I'll dig up the one for Sandor and Argos and ask @Crake to add them to his plan.

EDIT: @Crake, can you add these to your plan?

[] Sandor Level Up
-[] Class: +1 Occult Slayer
-[] Skills (6 points): +2 Intimidate, +2 Knowledge (Arcana), +2 Spellcraft

[] Argo Level Up
-[] Class: +1 Occult Slayer
-[] Skills (2 points): +1 Knowledge (Arcana), +1 Spellcraft
