You guys did choose to atatck the temple rather than him first and I did note he had a way out near his quarters for his own personal use

That could work for the dragons maybe though someone would have to provide the power for it, but not Illyrio, he has an item of mind blank.
Would that work for Scrying on her Clerics as well?
And/or Outsiders bound to her, like those Abishai?

Btw, rejoice @Duesal, we have 2 Mindblanked reds to hunt down now.

I'm impressed that he managed to run.

I am not. It's utterly incredulous that he has managed to escape from us after so many effort, so many plans, and so many...

Urgh, I wanna end the useless flesh-bag y'know? Make his end either swift or very, very long and drawn out. We have the means and resources for both.

I thought that the Shadow Fortress was hard to escape from.

Ironic, considering its moniker.

Ah, well let's talk of other less headache-inducing things. So, any suggestions?
Interrogations might help, yes.

*grin*

Splendid, shall I prepare the funnel, then?

Yes, it would , though you do not have as many clerics to hunt as you may think. The rolls for the Shadow Fortress... well let's just say the enemy can step on traps too especially when they are so paranoid about each other.

Three Mind Blanked Reds. Lizzirth is nowhere to be found, apparently.

Which clerics did we manage to petrify with our Shadow of the Doom?

Remember, we knew that there were several ways in and out of the Shadow Fortress, and we decided not to waste time and effort blocking every exit and instead went straight for priority targets.

Honestly, the runaway clerics are the only loose trail left hanging here.
Sure, mages of GC were all assholes, and it is bad that any got away... But they are mages.
No fanatical devotion to Tiamat there, I reckon.

The 2 3 Dragons...
I say, give them one chance to screw Tiamat over - we'll cut off Mindblanks off their souls with Lya's help and pay them a sum needed to peacefully settle within the Empire.
If they refuse, we still cut off those Mindblanks off their souls, but without any care for their wellbeing.
:drevil:

I'm fairly hyped for turning Well of Eternity into an Artifact near-permanently barring Tiamat from sending dragons/outsiders/Clerics of hers anywhere near our realm.
Because we'd immediately pick them up on that radar and scry-and-die them as needed.

I'm really curious what Illyrio is going to do now. Everything he worked for is up in flames.

Varys is sacrificed. f!Aegon is captured, and if all goes well he'll be dead soon. The Golden Company will be broken forever. Etc.

What would he do now? Just become a terrorist or go live out his life quietly?

The most inconvenient thing he can do would be to walk out and surrender to us right now.
We won't be able to sacrifice him on moral grounds alone! :o

  • [X] Viserys' Mythic Path (Path of the Ascendant)
-[X] New Mythic Spell: Time Stop
-[X] Mythic Feat: Extra Path Ability
    -[X] Path Ability:
--[X] Component Freedom (Ex): When you cast an arcane spell, you can ignore one component of the spell: focus, material, somatic, or verbal. You can ignore a focus or material component only if its total value is equal to or less than 100 gp × your tier. You can select this ability more than once; each time you take this ability, the number of components you may ignore for each spell you cast increases by 1.
--[X] Nature of a Realm (Su/Ex): At 3rd Tier, you gain the ability to grant spells to divine spellcasters who choose to follow your creed, as the Divine Source Mythic Ability (you choose two domains as normal), bestowing upon them an echo of the flame that you have forged into a beacon to the world, standing forever against the dark. For so long as even a single echo endures, so too will you, and thus the realm itself. As long as any follower of yours capable of casting spells of a level equal to (Mythic Tier/3) lives, you are treated as if you had the Longevity Mythic Ability.
---[X] Longevity (Su): Upon taking this ability, you can no longer die from old age. If you have penalties to your physical ability scores due to aging, you no longer take those penalties. You still continue to age, and you gain all the benefits to your mental ability scores.
---[X] Divine Source (Su): You can grant divine spells to those who follow your cause, allowing them to select you as their deity for the purposes of determining their spells and domains. Select two domains upon taking this ability. These domains must be alignment domains matching your alignment if possible, unless your alignment is neutral. You grant access to these domains as if you were a deity. Creatures that gain spells from you don't receive any spells per day of levels higher than your tier; they lose those spell slots. In addition, you can cast spells from domains you grant as long as their level is equal to or less than your tier. Each day as a spell-like ability, you can cast one spell of each level equal to or less than your tier (selecting from those available to you from your divine source domains).
    ---[X] Domains Selected:
    ----[X] Law Domain
    ----[X] Knowledge Domain
[X] Lya's Mythic Path (Path of the Sage)
-[X] Mythic Attribute Bonus: +2 Intelligence
    -[X] Path Ability:
--[X] Competent Caster (Ex): You automatically succeed at concentration checks to cast arcane spells. This ability doesn't apply to spells of the highest spell level you can cast.
    [X] Richard's Mythic Path (Champion)
-[X] Mythic Attribute Bonus: +2 Strength
    -[X] Path Ability:
--[X] Longevity (Su): Upon taking this ability, you can no longer die from old age. If you have penalties to your physical ability scores due to aging, you no longer take those penalties. You still continue to age, and you gain all the benefits to your mental ability scores.
[X] Dany's Mythic Path: Path of the Hoard-Breaker
-[X] Mythic Attribute Bonus: +2 Wisdom
-[X] Mythic Feat: Iron Will (Mythic)
    -[X] Divine Surge:
--[X] Inspired Spell (Su): You can expend one use of mythic power to cast any one divine spell, treating your caster level as 2 levels higher. This spell must be on your divine spell list (or your domain spell list) and must be of a spell level that you can cast using that divine spellcasting class. If you are a spontaneous spellcaster, you don't need to have the spell prepared, nor does it need to be on your list of spells known. Using this ability does not expend a prepared spell or available spell slot. You can apply any metamagic feats you know to this spell, but its total spell slot level must be a slot level you can normally cast.
    -[X] Path Abilities:
--[X] Faith's Reach (Su): Whenever you cast a divine spell with a range of touch, you can instead cast the spell with a range of 30 feet. If the spell normally requires a melee touch attack, it instead requires a ranged touch attack.
--[X] Lucid Breach (Su): You are adept at breaching magical defenses and resistance to your magic. When attempting a caster level check to dispel an effect, overcome spell resistance, or otherwise determine whether or not your magic affects a target (such as with knock or neutralize poison), roll twice and take the higher result. As a special effect due to the manner in which you first acquired Mythic rank, you gain a bonus to caster level checks equal to half your Mythic Tier against the Dragon Goddess Tiamat and any beings who serve or whorshp her.

@egoo, I wish to ask of you something.

It seems that we are in the same of mind in our wish for the Cheesemonger's demise. But I gander that what atrocity that we wish to inflict upon the rotten cunt is quite different from one another.

I think that he should either be sacrificed to the Old Gods, so that they could torment him from all of time, eaten by Yss in order to not only gain whatever heinous plans that he has in stock for us but to also curse him with Oblivion, or ask my most lovely, comely, and beautiful of all fair maids Lady Elaheh to grant him the Sixfold Pleasure of Pain.

But what of you? What do you want to do with him. I ask this as a mere spark of curiosity.

So, your thoughts?

Honestly, I think him largely irrelevant.

He's not a mage.
He's not a cleric of an enemy deity.

He's just a somewhat resourceful and spiteful old fat man.

Throwing him at Yss or to a pack of Barghests for soulkill seem to be the best choices all-around to me.

I mean, he isnt Tor, not F!Aegon.
What's the point of being overly spiteful and wanting his demise when he isnt even relevant?

I mean, worst case, he tries to bargain with Bloodstone emps now.
I reckon, that is a horrid fate all in itself :b

I'm impressed that he managed to run. I thought that the Shadow Fortress was hard to escape from.
Well, he did have his own personal escape route.

According to Anu, it leads directly into one of the markets of the Bloodstone Emperor's Shadow Empire.

I was hoping he would end up going down the waste disposal chute in Anu's lab and diving right into Limbo. He wouldn't have had much fun there, I imagine.

Illyrio might not do too well in the Shadow Empire market in which he appeared. He might not even survive his escape, depending on what he finds there or who finds him.

/fingers crossed

I would want to throw BLoodwish into the ring.
Mythic Limited Wish can copy any spell usual Limited Wish gets as a Mythic spell.
That really vastly increases our versatility.
That does increase our versatility somewhat, but it's really expensive in Mythic Power to do that. It costs two MP to use Mythic Limited/Blood Wish in that manner.

There aren't many time where duplicating a 6th level or lower Mythic spell for two MP will be better than just using one MP to cast Wild Arcana.

Saddening, I was hoping that he went to Baator and tries to bargain with their Lords. That way, at least I WILL KNOW that with that contract, he will remain in Hell's grasp for all eternity.

But, he's a slimy bastard. I'd expect him to at least survive long enough to be a thorn. And with the Bloodstone Emperor of all being...

Illyrio isn't Varys. While I expect him to run away and survive, I really do not think he'll be too eager to jump into a superhorrible contract right after his last one went so poorly. He's far more likely to lie low and not be much of a problem for the immediate future.

so what actions still need doing this month when we are done with looting everything here
Well...
Considering there was a consensus in cutting down MAs to only the things that really need Viserys' direct attention...
[X] Meraxes being worshipped as actively as she is is a fine thing - except we know of the danger that grows alongside her.
-[X] Talk to Zherys and Meraxes, try to ensure she doesn't "return to life" for a while longer so that we won't have to worry about the 15th getting proactive.

[X] Arrange a personal meeting(s) with the remaining 2 rulers of Lorath - attempt to persuade them into joining the Empire, claiming economic growth and stability as reasons, grease the wheels where necessary by bribes.
-[X] Additionally, look into "the Shadowbinder" who started a school in Lorath - while the regulations used in it clearly make it seem like a preparation for joining The Empire, we are curious about sich a mage - since we had only limited contact with Shadow-mages so far.

[X] Meet with the Candlekeep Courtier, hash out what he needs for him and his Fey to be more effective at the task we put him on - we are talking gear, we are talking consumables, we are talking potential House of Mirrors support.

[X] Have the talk with Stannis - the Storm God can do much for the realm, and him personally. So far he seemed a goal-minded man, so we believe he'll see the merit in converting to the just and practical God of First Men.
-[X] In case of success, also retrieve the Heart Tree from the Storm's End - putting an exact fleshforged copy, with permanenced (Diamond dust) Fire Resistance, on it.

[X] Meet Galeneia, the daughter of Merling King.
-[X] If she succeeded in getting the lore on forging the water-spirits, barter for it.

[X] Visit the Dornish tourney in a guise - the lords shall be properly briefed on many a thing.

Also, we had these semi-planned, but it is... debatable whether well go for it now, with 'slight' change in thread's month-priorities:
[X] AFTER TIAMAT'S FORCES ARE DEALT WITH:
-[X] Hunt for some Winter-touched creatures Beyond the Wall.
--[X] Variety is the answer here, grab animals, monsters, Fey - anything possible, really. (High-level Divination guarantees some good non-Mindblanked finds right off the bat)
--[X] Have them handed over to Djinn for their research on cleansing Void-corruption.

-[X] If there is time - look into setting up a counter-trap to those Efreeti hunting the Char-Serpent(s) in Oil-seas of Plane of Fire.
