Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Certainly banking on the long shot aren't you?

Not banking on anything, clearly. Even if he can't learn anything we still have a vial of superpowers. It is literally win/win.

Also... by what metric do you determine it's a long shot? Do you have more information than I do about Tim's chances of learning something important from a vial? Looks to me like you just assumed the odds are long with no real evidence.

Does Taylor know that in character?
She knows it's inherently less risky than Tim's serums, which are guaranteed to cause mutations. And, you know, this bit from the chapter you literally just read…
"Eventually we were able to refine the process, and it was only after that success that we started selling vials. The chances of mutation now were minuscule, but it did nothing for those we had already twisted."
Who is this? Because this isn't Dragon's name.

I'm with the "take one to have Tim analyze it" team on this one.

Eh. I just consider having favors owed by Alexandria/Legend to be of more importance than a vial or two of superpowers whose potency is unknown.
Looking at my list of options again, I wouldn't say any of them qualify as "weak". Some are more situational than others, some require prep time, but all of them are reasonable powers for a Worm cape.

Just to remind people, Jujak/Paul doesn't have a Linker Core. If we want him to have powers, he's gonna have to drink a vial either way, it's just that Cauldron powers aren't magic and have a lower chance of mutating him.

[X] Trade both vials for two favors.

As expected, no useful information about the Fallen. Only some heart-to-heart with Alexandria and some vials.

Considering vials are basically a way to shove aliens in your brain, I'm quite against actually using them when we have a better alternative.

I wouldn't mind taking one for Tim to study, but I'm pretty sure @Silently Watches said he won't learn anything.
EDIT: found it:
Tim would not learn anything from of them, and it would destroy the contents of the vial. That would be such a waste.

Going with one of each, both seem usefull to have, but at the moment I don't really value one over the other. I don't even know if giving every ally a linker core would work/is viable, and parahuman powers are still nothing to laugh at, espeically vial powers which seem to be stronger overall. (No mutation from the vial just makes it better).

A favor is a bit unspecific, but has good potential also. Does anybody have any ideas what we could use it for? Might be worth switching to two favours if we have a good use for one already in mind and then have another one avaliable.

We've still got one option I don't think we've exercised for helping Danny. Ask our interdimensional friends if they know about any form of healing magic or assistive device that might help.

Yes. But we kind of have to actually be interested in interacting with Danny to be able to see about helping him or see if there's a possibility of helping him.

@Silently Watches repeatedly told us that outright ignoring main quest would have bad consequences.

We need to take the Daddy's Little Girl quest if we want to see where we actually stand. Unlike some people think, it won't be a useless angstfest. The QM has confirmed that.

Likely the women in front of her with the cape would have some idea just how far the healing goes when you take a vial. -_-
He's already a parahuman, and Arc 29 (IIRC) in canon reveals that a parahuman drinking a vial does nothing.

1) When I answer with "who knows?", it's almost always because you asked me an IC question which I won't answer OOC.
2) Danny is in an unusual situation in that he Triggered, which should mean the viral won't do anything, but also after his injury from the Behemoth fight he didn't seem to show any evidence of his former power. So "who knows" may be the IC answer too. No way to know without asking the CHARACTERS, not me.
