[X] Both must die.
- [X] Let the Sorcerer's attack play out, then finish off whoever survives.

Only thing I'm at all concerned about would be getting caught in an AoE attack from the sorcerer, and we're skilled enough to probably avoid it as well as carrying enough regen that survival and escape should be doable even if we do get hit with something bad.

Darn it, Veekie, stop making me feel bad for Clan Mors.

How did you get that? Just seeing the second ??? in who the ratsassin-sorc should betray, and assuming the worst?

Anyway, vote

Mathilde could see the trio of assassins with mage sight, she couldn't see the assassin we bumped into. There's another option on the betray roll as well.

The trio huddled together, as sounds of carnage and warfare echoed all around them. Master had told them to eliminate any of the Mors-traitors that tried to pass through the gate, but so far none had.

For the fourth time, Knawruto began scratching at the wall he was clinging to with anticipation, and for the fourth time Sakurat hit him over the head to stop creating so much noise.

A distant rumbling shook the mountain, and the young assassins knew that it must have been caused by the Ice-Covered Beast - but fighting such a foe was far beyond mere apprentices. At least it was far away.

And yet... the screaming they heard was all too close. Not the mere yells of battle, this was the remaining Mors stormvermin and Eshin gutter runners alike screaming in terror at something - then falling abruptly silent.

Squeaksuke peaked out around the corner. "The fog-mist is getting much-much thicker. It's coming this way."

Sakurat's fur stood on end. "It must-must be Mathilde, the Demon of the Hidden Mist!"

Knawruto looked at her blankly, so she sighed. Why had her master chosen such a fool-simple apprentice to be on her team? "She's an A-Rank shinobi of the Grey College Clan! They say she destroyed the Drakenhof bat-things in a single night!"

Dream scenario: Sorcerer kills both bodyguards, severely injures the Council-Rat before being killed, Council-Rat makes report on Clan Eshin traitor right before we decapitate him.

-[X] Let the Sorcerer's attack play out, then finish off whoever survives.
-[X] If the attack proves not to be physical, let the Sorcerer leave, and attack the Council member alone. The documents must not make it out.

Way I see it, the argument for not doing it is in the "must". Mat is precomitted to killing them both, if it turns out the Eshin isn't attacking, or his attack is false documents, or something. Hell, maybe the pages are poisoned, but they both leave alive for now. With both must die, Mat just might attack them both, to keep that decision/commitment.
I don't see the problem.
We already voted to come kill the caster and the new guy is an amazing target of opportunity, one we would kill and loot in most circumstances. While I would prefer to fight the injured survivor I am perfectly willing to just wade in and fight both straight up.

We have been told many time to not hold Mathilde's hand. To not micromanage.
This is the second time we have voted overwhelmingly to kill this guy and by extension anyone around him. Clearly we want to kill this guy and anyone around him.

Hopefully we're not picking a fight with something really nasty.

If I Leeroy Jenkins'd Mathilde into four opponents when the thread voted to take on one and Bad Rolls happened, everyone would rightfully be calling bullshit.
