No, this is Shara Rogare's dagger. No sacrificing it without cause. Randomly seizing a vassal's property is the habit of a shitty liege lord.
We took it for "research" for a hella long time, and she's been using something else, iirc?
@Goldfish, can you give me a hand?

If she indeed been using the dagger, alright, I won't mind her keeping it.
As pointless as I see that.

We borrowed it precisely once to identify it and make sure she didn't accidentally pick up a cursed object, then gave it back to her once we got a green light. It's very much still hers.

It basically tests for one's ability to be able to teach high school level math, IIRC, but the vast majority teachers will never be teaching any math at all except for the absolute basics in elementary school before classes become more specialized and you have teachers who are actually focused on a subject. Why would a teacher who has focused all of their education on childhood development and instruction of children under the age of 9 ever need to be able to teach algebra, geometry, statistics, etc?
Yeah, this does seem wasteful. Most elementary teachers only have a bachelor's, and most Bachelor's have a math requirement of precalc/stats, so if you're fresh out of a 4 year it's probably not too hard to brush up on math for the quals.

If you're coming from another industry and a few years out of school, it would definitely suck to review that stuff. At least it's not as bad as the GRE's.

"The Lord Ashwin... he was most distraught at the death of his son," Loreso explains. "He has naught but daughters otherwise and all have already been married to other lords and knights, and young Horwin himself did not leave any heirs of his body, thus leaving the lands to fall under another House, yes, another name unless his goodsons should choose to to give up one of their children to bear the Keath name. They do not so desire."
Hmmm... I agree with @Goldfish on this, an offer of a resurrection might be our best bet for multiple reasons.

1. The cat is very much out of the bag. We had a press conference in our MirrorVision Network where we confirmed to the entire Imperium that yes, bringing the dead back to life is possible (and we had Rhaella reveal herself to prove it)
2. This is easily one of the things the lord wants the most, and it's very much a special circumstance in that it's his last true heir who's been killed. We can do this and still easily refuse other requests if we're so inclined.
3. It's a tactic we've already successfully employed, see the Stormlands where we resurrected the daughter of a lord who was apparently being trained in magic by a hag, but who refused to do fouler rituals. That worked out pretty great, and the lord in question is firmly ours.
4. If we resurrect this lordling, we can take him to Sorcerer's Deep and make him a true loyalist within a few weeks. Bringing people to Sorcerer's Deep, unless they're Lucan's followers which this guy isn't, tends to have a "I want to be a part of this" effect on them.

Regarding Ser Benjicot's roll in this, it honestly was more of an unfortunate event. It never would have happened at all had the hotheaded son not gathered up the men-at-arms to attack a group just passing through their lands. Of course we shouldn't say that, but it is what it is.

Need to start voting, ya'll. I know this has been @Crake's ballgame, but he's working, sleeping, or perhaps rescuing damsels in distress at the moment, so he hasn't had a chance to present a plan. We can switch to it once he does, if this one ends up not being to everyone's liking.

[X] Accept the solicitor's offer
-[X] When Rhaella arrives with Rina, Ser Kennos, and the Umbral Stalker, we will seek to meet with Lord Keath and present him with a solution to lack of an heir through simply casting a Resurrection spell on his remains. Rhaella will serve as living proof that Resurrection magics are not only effective, even for those who have been dead much longer than Keath's son, but that we have them at our disposal.
--[X] Viserys and Rhaella will, of course, go into this meeting with the full assortment of social engineering magics active.

Yep, Shara has been using it for a while. It's a pretty nice dagger, too.
Crystal Dagger (+1): 1d4+1 (19-20/x2), Special: 3/Day use True Strike as a Standard Action or 1/Day use True Strike as a Swift Action.
Hopefully she'll be able to restore it one day. Maybe with our help.

@Goldfish want to try restoring the Dark Sun Dagger? I really do feel we could just assign it to Zathir.

And @DragonParadox is the PfE banner thing done yet? How did it go?
Eventually I would be game for that, but it's hardly a priority. We can keep it in with the other hazardous materials for now. There is no hurry to decide its fate at the moment.

Do we have to?
Zathir can help with but one project a month, and that would be assigning his 2d6 Progress to a single matter that entirely can wait.
Not now but eventually. I figure that is a loophole to the requirement to absolve the curse. Zathir technically qualifies for the requirement and we would not have to worry about him succumbing to it.
