Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
I like how su ling let the biter question pass without a comment, she mightve have been a biyer too in fox land way back when.

Fenfen fail her breakthrough rolls again? How often do the outers try?

So best Snek is getting even better, going so far as getting her own waifu.
I know why I'm sad even though I really shouldn't be :(

Right, this has been in the back of my mind, isn't the spider girl the evil autist that is trying (and managing fairly well) to turn Suyin into a copy of her? I do remember some interlude from some girl like that from year(s) back.

[X] What was known about the enemies that had attacked them
I'll take every reprieve from politics I can get.

I think Ling Qi will realise that Xiulan going away is actually Xiulan being forced to go away by her family. Between her pride, thirst for combat, friendship with Qi and need to prove herself, it's pretty obvious that she wants to stay.

Caught back up... this is still really good. And Darkness is still a potential problem.

[X] What the internal response of the province had been like

I'm going with this one for the moment. I might change my mind at some point.

Know thy enemy etc etc.

It's a pity you've only got half the quote there, because knowing Ling Qi is very different from knowing of our other allies, 'allies', and enemies.

Ideally we'd get both here, but oh well, what the hell. Either option works as something to frame the conversation around.

I promise the Biyu cutoff isn't bait. I just wrote and rewrote it enough times and it never came out right. children are difficult to write.

Having written snips of a child... yes. Yes they are hard. Some of it's distance from being a child, some of it's from literally having a more developed brain than any child (and the absurd myriad of consequences that ensue from that), and some of it's just because children are weird.

She isn't evil, but yes she is Li Suyin's mentor, and definitely on the autism spectrum.

Wow. Ling Qi is turning into the prude of the pair, while Meizhen is exploring whatever she deems interesting. Kinda hilarious really.

we need to politic, and this is more empathetic than the other option.

SpiderBao isn't evil she's been good to Suyin and there might be miscommunication but Suyin is, I think, being herself even with SpiderBao's influence. We should keep an eye on it, miscommunications based on assumption are the danger, not mal-intent.

Probably just unsure where we stand in terms of liking her. If she's very aware of social nets as compensation for autism struggling to understand *why* the social nets, that would remind me of a friend of mine! And also she would have *definitely* noticed when we chose other interactions and not her lolol
she's friends/mentor with Suyin and friends/ladypal of Meizhen (maybe :0) so like. We should probably ask them how to get along in a way that's like, not a threat to her

She was always the prude of the pair. Though prude is misleading since it is more that she doesn't want that kind of interaction thus avoids it, instead of caring about propriety/decorum itself she uses them as one of the ways to avoid it. Meizhen on the other hand when she got interested went for it from the start.

There's also the underlying factor that Meizhen is confident due to lifelong education and context what she can away with as "Youthful indiscretion" whereas Ling Qi is both less sure of that and likely has a shorter leash if she wants to remain respectable.
