You guys can do that, but the key word is 'blast', miracle is more a hammer than a scalpel. Without study it would have a change to trigger some wild magic protection and seen the book turn to ash (or since it was wild magic turn into an orange cabbage that sings sereneness on every full moon).
Not exactly a deterrent considering we have a ritual to revive books from ashes, and if necessary we could throw up an emergency anti-magic field. At this point it feels like bells and whistles are being added to keep the small problems relevant when in fact magic solves the issues pretty easily.

Ash, sure, turning into a cabbage less so. That said I broadly agree that the minor magic item research should just be identified. I don't think there are that many of them though. The chains got sacrificed, the anchor got identified, what else is left?

If it turned into a cabbage I would just shrug and sacrifice it. Or feed it to a pig and see what happens.

As for what else is left, nothing off the top of my head. I don't keep track of this stuff.

Am I missing an update? Because the latest threadmark is about our next course of action instead of killing and looting the cultist.

The real reason he's having food problems is he's trying to buy from people who care what the Lannisters say to begin with. Once he swears to us it should be trivial for him to buy from the many loyalist lords who know to expect a major surplus.
Just wanted to chime in here, yeah, he's being stonewalled because he's reaching out to people who either A) think he's not part of the Targaryen loyalists (they network at least to some extent) or are paying close attention to the Lannisters being pissy with him.

Once we direct him to a loyalist who we've informed to sell him grain, they'll sell him grain.

[] Tools of the Trade: Through the ritual you gained in the Opaline Vault has revealed the secrets of many of the arcane treasures in your possession, yet some remain beyond the ritual's reach. Will you study them further?
-[] Alchemical beetles (Arcana)
-[] Drow Staff (Arcana CL 14)
Requirements: Must be performed by a mage with the requisite skill
Action: Research
(Progress: Item Caster Level*0.5)
[] Slumbering Blade: The dagger wielded by Sharra Rogare, the yet sleeping artifact of unknown power is a dangerous unknown constant. And with how perilous her life was to this day, it would be unwise to leave one such unattended. (Progress: 6)
[] Dark Sun Dagger: It clearly was once a weapon of incredible potency. But who made it? And for what purpose?
-[] Find the purpose of the blade, possibly recreate it based on the new information. (Progress: 8)
The Dark Sun Dagger - at least we should get the lore behind it by now, to know whether we should even look into repairing it.

We've arranged for trade with nobles who have pledged to us through intermediaries that are directly connected to us, but even then we've disguised our involvement. We've actively avoided having the loyalist lords in Westeros collaborate among themselves. Telling Lord Lolliston which other lords are willing to do business with him notwithstanding Lannister displeasure basically points a glowing, neon arrow and letters spelling out "Targaryen Loyalist" over the heads of both Lord Lolliston and whoever he starts buying grain from.

Not if we have ALL of them sell him some grain. :V

Oh, sorry, I was about to start mad science'ing. No feeding Demonic Chaos Cabbage to pigs, or feeding the resulting pig to orphans! Bad Goldfish!

*nobody expects the Eldritch Inquisition reads through Minor Actions anyway *

You joke, but getting too many lords acting against Lannister interests at the same time might result in the Lannisters accusing them of treason to justify a crack down. We want the reconquest to begin on our terms, not those dictated by Tywin Lannister.
They can't though. Tywin's not the King, and Robert won't indulge him so much. Not when there's still Riverlanders who dislike the Lannisters' meddling in the Riverlands on principle but aren't Targaryen Loyalists. If asked, those lords will say their Lord Paramount is Hoster Tully, and Hoster is trying to shore up his authority as much as possible against the Lannisters already so he can't exactly admit he doubts their loyalty.

TL;DR: Tywin isn't allowed to unilaterally accuse people not directly under his authority of treason for many reasons, but mostly because that makes that Lord's actual superior look useless and they must protest it.

Also Hoster would have incentive to buy and sell the narrative because, while his position is weak, he really has no reason to give Tywin a lever against any of his own vassals. For a number of reasons. Leniency from us probably somewhere on that list if he's seen as resisting Tywin.

Interesting news:
The Pathfinder Wiki has updated and there is an upgraded Erinyes: Devil, Executioner – d20PFSRD

We should definitly try to secure some of them if DP uses them as regular Devils, or maybe create them if some of our Erinyes are interested in an upgrade.
At first look the Executioner is much tougher than the Erinye, and much more melee-specced.

Edit: The loss of True Sight is painful though.
