He might answer you because he still seems to harbour some affection for his in-thread creations, as he did with some details about our spaceships, but it has been requested he not be tagged or PMed about things.

Unrelatedly is anyone else wondering if perhaps there's an upside to Jazzirian remaining junior to Yss that we aren't noticing until after the fact.

E.g. He becomes more transactional or less impulsive from the influence of his older (but actually younger) sibling?

I didn't think about Jazzirian's taste in sacrifice (or rather, lack of thereof, blergh), expecting to have to cut down some of the Larder.
It is a neat surprise, because now we can feed OGs ~2000HD safely, and have them be powered reasonably enough to hold their ground against Timmie next month (on 4 separate Domains, no less).

Dunno about R'hlor.
We haven't talked with his priests or other Gods about him even though we voted to - do I'm torn between hurrying to perfect the Snare and not really knowing Jack shit about him (as he is now).

Hm.
I wonder if our Fey have anything to potentially contribute to the Snare, what with heavy anti-Divine themes.

Apologies, I didn't realize. I'm not current so I avoid reading anything I'm not tagged in or quoted on.
 
Having slept on it, I decided that i probably should add Dark Mirror to the mix.
I just dont see us doing the RA, and even if we do, we already got the basics from the mirror, the rest of it is working our way up to... something called "better scryong sensor", whatever that means.

@Artemis1992, @Duesal, you two mind me grabbing 2 Swords of the Ruin Lord, leaving us with 4, and getting the total HD sacrificed to Coatl to neat(ish) 512 HD?
Overpaying 17.0(6) times with that :V
 
Side note, @everyone, we also have this thing - which is too dark fluff-wise to have Rhaella use it iirc, and I think Xor can already countersong..?

Long story short, sacrifice this - yay or nay?

Description: At first sight this skull shows itself to be nothing more than yellowed bone, but if one were to set it in sunlight or besides the light of a roaring flame, still the empty sockets would be filled with blackest shadow.

Ability: Allows the bard who carries it to use the counter-song ability to counter any spell with a verbal competent of level 1-3 as dispel magic. May not be used to dispel ongoing effects. 7th caster level
Imo, not powerful enough to keep and care about, but neither is too great of a sacrifice.

This is more than random discussion I'd say, it's engagement with the world and the characters and that's always fun to read though. It's particularly nice to see the thread take a sudden turn like the massive sacrifice to Zathir.

We were actually looking for excuses to empower him pretty much the minute we learned he was kind of not really a God but also kind of?

It's just that he doesn't eat snake-bait we feed Yss, and really we only have this opportunity thanks to Yss, and it's really not practical to do it more than once for a bunch of reasons.

So with that in mind, getting him not one step, but multiple steps closer to actually being useful come Winter? Yes please.

Oh I see the reasoning now, it's just that I did not anticipate it when I wrote the vote options. That's a nice experience for me as a GM.

The thread operates on this weird meta-level, as being on the same wavelength when it comes to certain issues.

It was an inevitable conclusion drawn from sources that you have to be sworn-in by engaging with the thread to anticipate, perhaps.

Maybe as the DM, you learn to merely infer, rather than anticipate, thread motivations. You do spend most of your time here trying to translate those motivations into prose, after all.

No I do not accept "cleaning" as a reason, it's still a long range terrestrial portal/beacon.

The thing is legit basically a godsdamned Stargate, that's amazing.

Quite the opposite, people were quite against throwing the swords at Yss at the start of the discussion and I haven't seen anything to indicate the opposition has lessened.
