What do ya'll think of having Varys wear the Ring of Twisted Wishes? Not only does it solve the issue of filled ring slots, it also means we don't have to worry about Viserys not having an action available to utilize it.
So long as we dont use the second ability thing. Sounds too much like Wildmagic to be comfortable. Not even sure who is supposed to the Caster and who the target in that list. What if the wish is aimed at someone else? Would we be the target for the sake of rolls?

Everywhere it says "Caster" would be an effect which affects the wearer of the ring if the second ability is used.

@DragonParadox Still posting sparingly, but is that ring eligible for Runecraft? It has a story, so could it be modified, or would it require divine essence to turn it into an artifact to have a reasonable effect on the unstable binding?

What about if you defrayed the binding enchantment into a battery and then used a different power source, like how we unbound divine essence from powerful corpses to make artifacts?
We do have a few Wish-granting Efreeti in the Larder who could be "volunteered" to further empower or adjust the ring's enchantment. :drevil:

With a flesh-forge yes.

Excellent, thank you.

@Thread

We should try to supercharge our little friend and administrative lifesaver so it is both more likely to spot forgery etc in our paperwork but also help us make best use of Scribe's Binding.

While I'm a little annoyed that information is available but currently hidden to us I am more concerned that there is paperwork coming across our desk that we apparently have very little ability to determine as false.

[X] Begin Major Action
-[X] Into the City of Glass (Plane of Water Expedition)

I'm sure world of endless water will be neat.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Darn. :(
It's worth noting that the Shaitan want to kill the Sultan, maybe even violently conquer and then reform Efreeti society, but they are still kindred to them and the ultimate goal has always been to humble their enemies and then return things back to how they used to be, likely with line of Iblis wiped out and various restrictions and sanctions levied upon them, the Brazen Throne dissolute and what remains turned into a puppet state of the Djinn and Shaitan, with the former moderating the retribution of the latter in hopes of mending what was broken.

It's wrapped up not just in honor, but the scope of their culture. Various traditions between Genies extend to the others, it's just that the ruler of the Efreeti is batshit insane, and the corruptive effects of thousands of years of paranoid rule has eroded the limits to which they will stoop to. Worth noting that they used to be Lawful Evil as a society, and in a way they are, but the laws are so fucking clownishly evil and asinine that they might as well be run by an Chaotic Evil fucktard, and since Evil people love graft and corruption anyway, to protect themselves against others even the rule abiding sort will bend the rules until the bars break to get by.

@DragonParadox accurate summation of the situation?

Yeah, at this point the "Lawful" nature of the City of Brass and its Efreeti inhabitants is little more than a tool for the nutbar sitting on the throne to maintain control in his quest for godhood. They would probably collectively slip into true Chaotic Evilhood before the Sultan ever manages to ascend.

Wish slaves as in mortals trained to ask for the wishes of their master or have the Efreeti enslaved Genies for their wishes?
Wish slaves are Efreeti who have been enslaved by other Efreeti in order to profit from their Wish SLAs without having to lower themselves to trusting a mortal to use their own abilities properly.

It's more of proof that they're slipping down the Evil slope toward full on Chaotic Fucktard to so needlessly violate such a strong cultural taboo.
