Eventually we'll get so big DP will surprise us with a SD rumors post. Granted, it'll probably have more background info because we'll get it as an Inquisition report, but still.

So did some fun with math.

Right now we have around 1,450~ mages, give or take a couple of dozen, in our nascent empire.

50 Scholarum trained mages are above Level 5 as of this month.

Though unfortunately our number of school-trained mages who can cast 3rd Circle spells is pretty abysmal compared to some of our rival institutions/enemies, given they've been pressing them to actually do work whereas we've mostly left PCs to do the actually dangerous stuff (more efficient use of resources, and it is in keeping with our idea of "let mages be just another type of skilled trade, unless they have ambition").

@Goldfish Two more 3rd Level Archivists can craft as of the 11th month compared to last. So two more minor enchanters.

@Goldfish, @Duesal, keep in mind DPs WoG that a Herald of Ymeri might be too much for us to bite in.

However, we have Yss.
Who just got better at doing transactions.

We bring the body to him -> he eats the body/captured Herald and some more stuff we throw on top as the price for transaction -> he infuses us with the juices from the body without us having to roll sky-high to get even a bit of those.

Our willsave is amazing, but I trust Best Snek to be even more efficient God!Juice-pump than that.

Say Crake, what's the Level Cap to every Class that we have (NPCs)? Hedge Mage, Sorcerers, Clerics, Artificers, etc.

How do you reckon Yss would rewards us? I heard that back when, when we tried to eat a Tree, we flubbed a Dice Roll so we don't get anything. Would you want to have that again?

That can be found here.

For the most part, though, it's Level 5. Hedge Mages, Wizards, Mystics and Sorcerers can go up to 6.

The most 'powerful' spell caster we can train is around 3rd Circle spells, thereabouts, with some obvious exceptions, the non-fullcasters basically (Gishes, Adepts, etc.) and so forth.

Aww, so we can't have a Coven of Wizards chucking 8th Level Spells at once ala Shadow of Doom to our enemies?

Ah well, sucks.

I wonder if DP will one day let Ser Richard get Iron Heart Surge, even if a nerfed version, and Moment of Alacrity even if a nerfed version. Maybe just emulate Celerity with it? Time Stand Still is basically Greater Celerity in terms of functionality.
Unfortunately, DP has deep issues with the "react before your enemies" as a narrative thing in battles.
Viserys has time-magic with celerity, DP can work with that.
That Snek-general who had supernatural Celerity-like move was, too, magical as fuck.

For Sir Richard though, neither is the case, and so far DP had found no good way to work around the move's bullshit on a full-martial character as narrative piece, motto mention all the rolling bllshit.

Oh god, please yes :V
SD reads too awesome to pass something like that up.

Well, yeah, we fudged the roll and didn't get anything beyond peering into Zherys' doings.
...Which alone quickly let us take over once we had seen the real state of things on his side.

I recon, Yss would be able to pump Ymeri's juice right out of the Herald and into us without as many of those pesky "you got nothjng" rolls.

Huh.
Now that j think about it, Zherys in the mindscape might not be the greatest thing ever.
He doesn't know we spied on him in that moment.
And Ymeri's herald does.

Oh well, one can only hope Zherys hates Herald more than the revelation would make him stumble.

I don't even bring up him betraying us in return, of course, since he seems far too sensible for that yet.

It's fine, Zherys is smart. He knows that taking revenge on Viserys will only yielded nothing but straining their relationship — i.e. Volantis and Sorcerer's Deep — and upsets Teanna.

Also we're kinda at each other's throat at that time, so it's fine. Everyone knows your emotions gets a bit weird when you tried to murder one another.

Actually y'all two, Zherys knows we were spying on him. We pointed out his plots with the Elephants and the Demon cultists while he tried to distract us with other enemies of ours as a bit of a "yeah, we know and now you know I know, you know?"

So even if the details would be strange, as in, "did you really eat a tree for power? Does this happen often?" It wouldn't be particularly earth-shattering information. He knows it in essence if not the details, basically.

And then we're stuck with snake features. No thanks.

Would rather experiment with the remains than try to force power through a too-small hole or crudely hack out a bit that was Viserys and introduce a new bit more like Yss.

I won't think so, y'know. Yss would probably give us some options on what do we want to choose.

Me? I wanna see some REAL Phoenix. Not Lesser Phoenix. But a REAL one.
If you want to see a real Phoenix just ask around or try to summon one. They're not extinct.
Mate, it's not his energy we are taking here, but Herald's.
All I want for him to be here, is a pump for said energy.

He is inarguably better at the job than we are.
You're talking about an enhancement directed by Yss.

Until you get word of god that -- like all Yss enhancements before this -- it won't give Viserys snake features, I refuse to support this.

or try to summon one.
We, however, can't summon one from Pathfinder, because they are bullshit (too much HD for our spells), and there is a distinct lack of stats for non-homebrewn 3.5 to guess whether we can.

Fair enough.

@DragonParadox, if we get Herald/his body to Yss and have Yss act as a "pump" for Ymeri's energy inside (instead of trying that all by oursleves), and we pay with some more stuff on top of Herald - would we still get "snake features" as per usual Yss' blessings?

Alright, if summoning is a no-go I guess we could just ask Siduri and Yrten to keep an eye out so we can get a new recruit.
