Need more votes, y'all. I'm happy to make further edits to my plan if anyone sees an issue.

[X] Goldfish

@Goldfish, this is a good time to elaborate on the Void, and the various forces touched by the Void that those in Prime Material have at least heard of. The Bloodstone Emperor, the Others, etc. This should keep everyone hyper vigilant, hopefully.

I don't mind including that stuff, but isn't it somewhat beyond the scope of this meeting? How much shit can we pile on them all at once?

It really isn't, @Goldfish.

We're talking about the Sundering. Talking about what caused the Sundering -- the Void -- and what enemies are tainted by the Void is a pretty logical next step. It's downright neglectful not to inform them of that.

We cannot ask our listeners for ideas just after telling them that. They have to have the time to think about it, go through ramifications etc. Then we should meet and talk plans.

"Should the whole frame of nature round him break.
In ruin and confusion hurled,
He,unconcerned, would hear the mighty crack,
And stand secure amidst a falling world."
-joseph addison's translation of Horace's ode book 3, ode 3

Thought this was fitting to the mood

Preliminary plan. Dunno if this says everything we want, too little or too much, but it's a start.

[X] "My friends and allies, I have asked you here to share news of grave import, of truths that have recently come to light which I fear might shake the foundations of civilization upon this world."
-[X] "There is no easy way to say this, no pretty words to ease your minds, so I will share what we have learned. If you do not wish to retain this knowledge after we adjourm, you have but to ask and I will personally remove the information from your mind. None should think lesser of you for the choice, I assure you."
--[X] Viserys takes a deep breath, sweeping his eyes across those attending the gathering. "The Celestial Planes are broken, shattered beyond all hope of recovery by forces of near unimaginable power and malignance, and have been for many thousands of years. Heaven itself is occupied by the armies of Hell..." Go on to explain the fates of the other Celestial Planes, the semi-functional River of Souls which no longer all but guarantees one's soul will be delivered to the proper afterlife, and the besieged Divine Realms of those gods still able to protect the souls of their worshipers. Ask for corroboration from those already aware of the situation, if any attendees appear doubtful. Take this opportunity to share pertinent information we have learned relating to the Void, it's relation to the Others, and the Bloodstone Emperor, who may not be related to the Void, but still represents a fire threat to mortal souls.
---[X] "Death is not a guarantee that one's soul will be unjustly claimed by a Devil, stolen by a hungry Daemon, or worse. There are still forces trying to return some order to the afterlife, but their efforts are limited by the scope of their task and their finite numbers. For all intents purposes, there is no sure hope in the Outer Planes save what we make for ourselves."
----[X] "For now I can make you no promises, but we have not given up on setting this lamentable situation aright, even if only in some small corner of existence where the souls of our people may rest in peace, undisturbed by the turmoil of the Upper and Lower Planes. That will be an endeavor years in the making, however, one on which I cannot further speculate at this point."
-[X] Once our piece is said, invite everyone to ask any questions they may have.

Viserys glances at the above thought bubbles.

"We're all fucked. Now we've gotta unfuck ourselves, 'cause nobody's gonna do it for us."

Viserys glances up, same as before, not having actually said that.

"There's no good way to deliver this news, so I suppose I'll just show you... that'll be easier, right?"

...

"Try not to stare directly into the Disk of Emptiness. Something will start staring back."

...

"No, I mean, literally start staring back, not a metaphor, Uthero."

Naah. Saan possesses that combination of keen daring and arrogance that'd have such say 'Suppose I need to not be dying, ever, then'. Much like Valyrians, not like he cares overmuch about other peeps.
Perhaps you'd see a sharp decrease in personal risks taken, though.

So, do y'all think any of our guests will opt for memory modification?

I think Saan might.
Inb4 someone has an experience so traumatic with this revelation that they'll spontaneously awaken to exotic powers.

And DP will reveal that this is a Worm crossover, too

You get a Trigger, you get a Trigger! Everyone gets a Trigger!

You can't just say something like that without theorizing on the resulting powers!

We have a sudden, undefined moment of horror, so 3 possible power classifications.

Thinker: If it's just this moment as the the revelation takes hold.

Tinker: If someone knew already something was wrong, but finally realizes the scope.

Breaker: because pure existencial fear for your soul and that of your loved ones is very undefined.

And more importantly, if multiple people trigger you get a cluster.
So, who triggers with what power?

@Goldfish We have more than one level-up to vote on, right? Should we not try to get them out of the way before the end of the month? Or at least a couple of them.
