[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there.

[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.

[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to hatch the supposedly Lustrian eggs and study and possibly train whatever hatches.

Compare this to a hypothetical expedition where we did all that we did but let dwarfs sort out what to do with magic users themselves. That's certainly a lesser contribution to a campaign and a huge headache for Belegar who has no idea how to use wizards. So I think that this work should have been appreciated.

Joining it as a Commander is what got you a total of +4 for the Expedition before any of your deeds were counted.

[X] This is Dawongr Weber's money. The funds will largely go projects within the Karaz Ankor - your tower for one, but also investing in the Undumgi or Ulrikadrin, or purchasing goods made by Dwarven artisans or sold in the markets of Barak Varr.

I fell everyone is going to rush to get this one done, but we have to keep in mind to everyone this is just an undesirable room, this can wait a little and we have more time sensitive options.

[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to deal with the spiders in the Chiselwards.

Like these two, last chance to keep then around and we need for this stuff so please people vote to keep our amberlings around, we need at east one of these to win.

[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.
And if one doesn't win we realy should have this written before we lose then

[ ] King Belegar is allowing you to use the King's Armoury. Recover your extant study materials from Stirland and tuck them away safely in there.
Would love to have our stuff around, but it is all pretty safe were it is and we have many time limited oportunities so if anything can wait is this, we shouldn't rush this a juice panic.

I will say trying to read disscussion before voting in this thread is it own kind of hell, I am sure as soon as I finish posting this I will have more than 10 pages to catch up but the other option is only voting in 12 hours, this place flies.

@BoneyM since I am pretty sure we are the human with the most dwarf rep alive I woder how high we rank if we include humans of all time ?

You're only the most out of those alive if you discount some of the prominent citizens of Tobaro. At the end of the day Dwarves are still going to weigh a few reliable decades higher than any amount of busy years.

That said, it's definitely shaping up that in a thousand years a Dwarf-written 'history of the Umgi' is going to have a chapter on Mathilde Weber.

[X] All this time away has made you miss your friends. Visit Anton and Wilhelmina.
This suggests a future in Stirland, whether Roswita likes it or not.

[X] You're going to have a rough time explaining your windfall to the Bursars. Better to get that over with.

Let's catch up.

So, I've had some time to focus in matters, and with the revelation that we'll get one more trio of epilogue actions, we need to line them up into a cohesive narrative.

I'll wax more eloquently after my shift is done, once I have a keyboard to type on. But I am thinking for now, we focus on matters in Eight Peaks, expanding on our spymaster choice, augmenting our work getting Karag Nar on its feet, and putting our heads together with the journeymanlings to make sure the Colleges get their dues for what we've learned. Something which will be very important because we're going to have to pick up the magic slack until we have a reliable base of Runepriests to back us.

Also, bright wizards would help a lot when we eventually hit Kvinn-Wyr.

Our focus is still our backlog, but duty calls.

And duty also demands we do something nice to justify them ignoring us getting a windfall of likely the Emperor's yearly discretionary budget and investing it in a boomtown.

Final epilogue should be touching base with our stirland friends, while also giving Wilhelmina a heads up that way too much silver is about to get dumped into the economy so it can get leveraged cleanly, get our stuff from our estate, and find out if the Gray College has any specific interests they want us to push.

Hmm. Just had a thought. If somebody decided to attach an banner of some sort to a Gyrocopter such that it's horizontal and forms a singular shadow with the vehicle itself, would we be able to use Burning Shadows through that? If so, that's pretty broke as fuck, being able to just beam down horrible acid at enemies with minimal scope of retaliation of their part.

I'm sure there would be kinks to work out but it seems to be worth the effort for the closest thing WH Fantasy would have to an orbital death laser.
First, remember that shadows from the sun work like this;

So we would need to fly rather low.

Second, the lizardmen already have the engine of the gods for orbital death lazers.

Clearly news would have to have been sent ahead, though you don't see the precise mechanism; you wonder if it is due to some clever invention of the Guild of Engineers or an ancient mechanism the Dwarves have always known. Either way, when the stairs finally give out and place you at the entrance to the famed Great Hall, as if you had entered from the front, and the doors open for your party. The Great Hall itself you had heard tales of, of it's massive size and towering height, and sure enough you're able to see for yourself that an entire human town could fit comfortably within it. But despite its size the Great Hall does not hold the population of a small human town, or anywhere close to it. Even though every major Hold and Clan, and every minor Hold and Clan with ambitions to become Major, each has a representative in the Great Hall during its hours of operation, the crowd would be a poor gathering for the Marktag of a medium-sized village. It is a walk of considerable distance before you approach the nearest member of the small, sad gathering of the remnants of the Karaz Ankor, and the constant murmur of discussion echoes through the emptiness.

No wonder they despair. The traditions they would never abandon are a constant reminder of how great they once were.
*chokes a little*

God I'm thinking of Lord of the Rings and just the sheer emptiness of Moria or the Lonely Mountain as the Dwarves walk through it. This hurts and thanks Boney for conveying it so well.

I feel like the bigger issue with the plan is how little time the shadow is going to be on any individual enemy. Keeping the banner at full extension means moving at a good speed, so the shadow is going to be covering the same spot for a second or two at best. Doesn't seem like that's nearly enough to hurt Orks. Might annoy Goblins, but nobody we're fighting against is gonna take serious damage from just that.

Currently keeping the Amber Wizards isn't winning which is interesting. I would have expected keeping them around would be a priority, especially if we can get them to train up our dinosaurs for us. Keeping them around to get them to write our papers for us is also desirable.

I don't think this is really a priority. It's kind of a mess right now and it's unlikely anyone is going to make a claim on it.

The other vote that's locking us off from Amber Wizards. I do want that Snake Juice though.

So yeah, just off of my gut instinct and reasoning..

Paper writing while the ambers can give insight, Ranald shrine, and Royalty meeting is coherent enough.

Practically speaking, if he needs Mathilde to do Mathilde Things inside, he can just ask her, but leveraging her connections and strategic speed and stealth is her best use.

Having our tower be aircraft accessible is an unheard of yet possibly a great advantage to have

Raptor guard dogs would be awesome

@BoneyM, I am a bit slow, but can you explain to me what happened with Belegar and the High King? why the grudges are nullified and etc.

Thorgrim's priority was the grudges that had been avenged. Belegar's was the home that had been reclaimed.

Thorgrim treated news of K8P's reclamation as a foothold established for more avenging, and assumed that the Expedition had bled itself dry killing as many greenskins and Skaven as possible and would soon be wiped out by counterattacks, and wanted to know if they'd survive long enough for more Dwarves to arrive for more killing.
