I don't think anything, even a god, can call a Soul Trapped soul back.
He had a Prc swearing his soul to the sultan, let us be quickly with the bookening please.

No, he needed more than four. His chance of failing is 0.2*0.2, he must roll 4 or less twice.operly with Alter Fortune he got to roll a D20 twice and take the better result, he needed a 4 or higher to succeed, so there's 15% chance of each roll failing, that mean the chance of both rolls failing is 2.25%
Personally causing the sultan to expend enough divine power to retrieve his soul from the cloak would be a win on it's own. Even if he could do it blind. He had a Prc swearing his soul to the sultan, let us be quickly with the bookening please.
Is the book really any safer? The only difference in the binding is that the book leaves the soul in timeless stasis. That doesn't seem like the kind of thing that'd slow down anyone strong enough to remotely steal a trapped soul.He had a Prc swearing his soul to the sultan, let us be quickly with the bookening please.
Doesn't Mind Blank prevent soul-calling? That's the problem we've got with the petty Asura in spite of having the corpse of its Asurendra master and having access to its name.Is the book really any safer? A salient enough point. How about putting it in a lead box @Deliste? Even he shouldn't be able to get it back if he can't find it.Is the book really any safer? The point was to get intel quickly. I want to know what the Efreeti are after and how they planned to take it. The Valyrian Steel Spikes was just an educated guess on our part.A salient enough point. Unless @DragonParadox would like to out this particular concern to bed...?
Edit:
@Duesal why turn it into a book immediately at all if it's safe in the cloak?

That body has a mind blank. Can we even summon someone wearing one of those?Turn it into a book right now, look for the Fiends name and summon it.
Yeah, read that right after posting. That body has a mind blank. Can we even summon someone wearing one of those?
The body isn't a threat right now, it's additional profit. Chasing it is risking the loss of some or all of our current winnings. That's a bad bet, even though that loot is valuable.
I'm sure we can make it up by having our agents in the CoB raid his private supply caches or something.

You realize we have spells we've used to quickly read these books, right? We don't mindlessly read every page of the Tome of the Cabal Devil, for example. That is...
A VERY inefficient way to get that information.
Use a divination. I don't want to sit on our butt paging through what the efreeti had for breakfast this morning when were in the middle of a death zone.
Edit: your not summoning the body like that. You might not even be able to summon the fiend out of a vessel.
