LQ needs to get comfortable talking about business and money-earning that doesn't come from generous backers loot or exploration treasures. Bonus points is that it's a topic Bao Qian is both well versed and comfortable in, and establishing an amicable working relationship is a pretty solid basis for anything else; be it engagement talk or just firmer business ties.

I'm not impressed with our suitor, he is best from worst variants, but that's it. Let's finally learn about Qingling, she seems like plot important character, also talking to Suyin (and mercilessly teasing her) could be really fun.

In my opinion the attempt to learn more about Qian is a side benefit to talking with Suyin. Would be nice to catch up with her and I don't think he needs to be the complete focus.

"It's nothing. I was just curious about what had drawn your attention," Ling Qi replied.

"Your companion seems to have a highly vitalizing effect on the earth. It is one of the things I suspected could be turned to a profit about you, and it seems I was correct, if the effect can be distilled, we will have a tidy little seed business on our hands," Bao Qian said.

So, this is really cool. I didn't notice this the first time I read through this, but apparently Zhengui can improve the soil quality of an area... by eating. Doing one of his favorite things, and a thing he does pretty constantly just passively improves the quality of the soil enough to be noticeable. That's pretty great! It's also great to get some confirmation that Zhengui actually improves soil quality than simple speculation.

This just seems a better common topic due to shared interest:

And prying about someone who isn't there and which they already said to go easy on is a little rude.

If we never learned this it'd be quite hilarious for Ling Qi to be invited to have Zhengui eat their crops lol

Kinda?

There was a big old bone golem thingy(something garagant?) in the necromancy tome, but like most of the stuff in that book, it ran off of human sacrifice or some shit like that.

We were going to try and retool it to run off less illegal means, but we never got around to it. I don't think we'd be able to do that practically right now with Oppression Tiger Mom demanding good test scores. We've barely got time to breath, much less rework a formation like that.
