Yeah, I just really wanted a "You can't run from me!" Moment.
I can see it now.

A panicked squad of fleeing knights, their horses panting and lathered from exertion, shakily reaching the shoreline where a boat waits to take them home. Finally, they were almost safe, though it cost them dozens of their comrades, each slain like a helpless child by the monster and his flaming sword.

They have to leave their horses behind. The faithful beasts didn't deserve their fate, but there was no choice, the boat too small to carry them.

A man cries out, pointing towards shore as an armored figure crests the sand dune, burning sword grasped lightly in one hand as if it weighed nothing. It doesn't matter now, though. They're a hundred yards out to sea already and even the monster can't swim after them, not in heavy full plate armor.

Then the monster leaps from the dune, higher and further than any man they've ever seen. The monster is not a man, though, so none are surprised by his prowess. No cause for concern, however, until a massive pair of dragon-like wings unfold from the monster's back, allowing him to take flight to continue the pursuit.

"Fuck."

Beautiful.

Reminds me a little of A Practical Guide to Evil in that it is the kind of situation I can imagine Richard chasing down mortal men in a lone operation.

Post-consolidation Richard occupying himself while on mandatory leave from the Planar Fronts.

A lone asshole Bard lived to tell the tale in prose and convince another bunch of fools to Draco Dormiens Titillandus.

Only 40.9 mph by my calculations. Still really fucking fast, though.

Yeah, at Mythic Tier 10, his speed is well over 100 MPH, literally becoming a blur of motion.

Almost makes you want to design a maneuver that lets him make an attack on everything within range of where his movement takes him called Murder Blender, because that would allow him to kill hordes of NPCs. Not that he can't do that already, it'd just be more efficient. :V

From my calculations, his maximum running speed at 10th Tier would be 86.36 mph. That would increase to 107.95 mph if we can get him the Run feat via a magic item.

I hate so so much that we are leaving Goblin Market undone with this.
Fffucking Efreeti.

@Goldfish, do we really need to pull people off it?
I feel like in their absence, whoever did their moves there will do their best to explode the situation, and we have more important tasks next month to assign people to.
*cough* Golden Company *cough*

Also, don't forget to add out beefy Seeker to this - either to our crew, or to GobMar, if you pull people off it.

I get it, but at the same time the situation is dire. Rina for one is definitely needed here.

Then, I think after the Efreeti are dealt with, we should personally deal with the market, if only to ramp up Progress lost with pulling people off it :/

We aren't really doing anything for a while considering all of Viserys minor and major actions are done except two. I am for messing up the gobs. It will be a nice run down before we switch to something more somber.

@Goldfish Add the Seeker, apppraise the Djinn and Shaitan both in case they want to participate or accomplish some kind of strategic goal with this running as distraction?

We are murderblending the personal fetch quest of their Court Mage, here.

We're not abandoning it, though. The Harbinger is staying to keep a lid on things, with help from a Herald and some Erinyes. Glyra is still there, too. She knows how to handle Fey.

Once the situation in Valyria is resolved, we can come down on the Goblin Market like an angry Dragon god and sort shit out ourselves.
Put the Seeker on Gobbo Mart. He can hunt the bastards.
I don't think we should deploy it without someone nearby able to issue new orders in the event of unforeseen circumstances. I would bring it with us, but it's lacking a lot of essential gear and would be operating far below maximum capacity and much more vulnerable to enemies.

Need more votes, ya'll.

  • [X] Intercept the Efreeti Expedition at once, gathering all available Companions not otherwise occupied in Yi-Ti or the City of Brass, along with what other powerful allies we can gather on short notice, including Teana, Lady Saenena and her Dragon, Melisandre, Zherys, Amrelath, Relath, Yrael, Bloom, Siduri, Yrten, along with Mereth and several of her sister Erinyes. Balerion the Black Dread will be allowed to take wing as well. Three Wyvern Fightercraft will also participate, armed with Liquid Ice and Explosive Beetle Bombs in addition to their standard munitions.
-[X] The Harbinger, aided by a Herald and cadre of Erinyes will keep the Goblin Market under control while Malarys, Richard, and Rina are otherwise occupied.

As a side note, I can't help but feel that this might just be a trap set up specifically for us.
Giving Siduri fake info wouldn't be all that hard, and with most of her contacts being in Dis...

Bottom line, we should expect not only Efreeti, but 15th and/or Rakshasa involving themselves.
May or may not happen, but better be ready.

Also this leaves our lands quite lessened on powerful Companions, they may try something from that angle too.
