Damn...

Melisandre is insidious. She played that kid like a fiddle.

I'm impressed.

Mell would point out that the legality is moot since it did not happen in the bounds of Viserys' dominion. His law does not run in Westeros right now. Unless of course he wants to enforce Robert's law?

Making her pay for raising him is needlessly petty, and we can appreciate that she likely would not have done so were there any better options.

That said.

We will tell Xor on her if we have to. Have you ever seen a sad Xor? It's terrible.

Hmm Mel...I am somewhat impressed and somewhat horrified at how easily she manipulated the kid to eat something. I feel we may need to send out Pamphlets saying "Don't eat things given to you by strangers" someday. Also since he died and came back to life would that count as a traumatic enough event for magic to awaken?

That's another reason I'm pleased. Melisandre just got us a Hoare descendant as a PC.

I feel I need to make something clear, the kid knew he was drinking poison. He was manipulated but not tricked.

You guys realize we have laws for a reason right?

Maybe having someone who works for us display casual disregard for those laws isn't something to be celebrated?

She planned to bring the kid back to life, and more to the point not only is she not a vassal quite yet, she's also not in our lands, and thus isn't beholden to our laws.

EDIT: To illustrate this, it'd be like hiring Darleth and then getting mad if he doesn't obey our laws during a job where he's not in our lands.
