Looks like some baby PCs could use a Goldfish brand gear package. :ogles:
Yeah, they need some gear. We should have already hooked them up with the basics (PfE ring and Healing Belt), plus enchanted weapons and armor, probably VS. I'll take a look at their sheets and put together a package appropriate to their needs.

It is sort of like sticking it out in pure spite of the "upgrade".

They have done everything possible to make using the forum unenjoyable, but damn it, we're gonna quest anyway!

WE'RE DOING IT LIVE!

While I get the sentiment I still have hopes that things will get better with some polish. It would still be needless and frustrating even if it does of course, but I like to look on the bright side of things where I can.

PfE and Healing Belt yes, but I don't think they got other equipment. We can hook up Reyne with a VS Longsword and +1 Reinforced Segmented Adamantine Fullplate.

I'm not sure what'd be best for Weaver, though.

Did SV admins really have to copy Russia in the worst way possible, go with "fixing stuff" only ruining it for everyone?!

Speaking about Russia, and totally unrelated to the quest, how are they dealing with their population problem? I mean, the "It is too cold and miserable to fuck and have children" and "second highest suicide rate in the entire world". I wanted to ask someone who was actually there.

There is no rush to answer if you are working.

The administrators are usually pretty good about doing what's best for the forum, so hopefully they will fix at least most of the problems with the new forum layout over the next days.

Jeyne already had an Amulet of PfE, but I've pulled a Healing Belt, Greater Ribbon of Disguise, Handy Haversack, Circlet of Clarity (+4 Intelligence), a Valyrian Steel dagger, and +3 Reinforced Segmented Glammered Mithral fullplate from the Armory for her. We can add a +2 Constitution boost to her belt. She's had enough time to train herself to wear fullplate armor by now, I think. @DragonParadox?

For Roger, I pulled a Ring of PfE, Healing Belt, Greater Ribbon of Disguise, Handy Haversack, and a Valryian Steel dagger from the Armory. He'll need a pair of +2 Strength gloves and a +1 Constitution upgrade on his belt. We should have already gotten him a suit of +1 Reinforced Segmented Adamantine fullplate and a +1 Heavy Mithral shield, as well as a Heavy Valyrian Steel mace.

I'll add the stuff to be crafted to the schedule and put the other things on their character sheets for DP to update when he gets the chance.

Nah, I'm a student and on holidays.
The only thing impeding my answers is being too lazy and/or depressed to :V
To be honest, I'm not quite sure, to either, as I have never looked at demographics' numbers...
At least, the true ones.
As in, I'm pretty sure that all 'official' numbers are throughly polished these days.

Really, slighty less than half of the country lives near-poverty, or in actual poverty.
With some sprinkle of governmental propaganda, many, many people with no higher education have nothing better to do than children.
And I'm not even joking :V
"Programms of population growth encouragment" have been running since 2000s as I'm aware of, and... well, the results have been a mixed bag from my point of view.

"Second highest in suicide rate" I'd actually believe in, though.
Life is bad for some people, like anywhere else... But very little hope is seen through massive, massive amounts of governmental propaganda, and if one dares to speak up... well, their life gets much worse, for however long it will last here.
Quite a lot of scrutiny from people in power comes down, you see. And wit hit, less than friendly policemen...
And a recent sleuth of laws that make arresting anyone a non-problem, given but a bit of want on policemen's part.

Don't even get me started on the fact that quite likely in about a 2-3 years' time Russia's whole Internet could be disconnected from the world via newly-installed Golden-Shield-like systems.
Or, well, the systems have been voted on by the government and sponsored out of people's pockets. How soon anything would be done is up to a question.
Or how they are quite likely to block Musk's Sattelite internet systems from reaching Russia, if not via "blowing up the sattelites" like some fucktard officials all but screamed, then via laws.

FFFFFFucking supremacist, asshole, tyranical Oligarchy running this country.

That'll be an excellent reward for them succeeding in their first mission. :)

By the way, was there any gear we wanted to give to Tor?

This planar thinning is immediately dispelled if in an area of normal or bright light.

@DragonParadox, I think I will need to start posting updated character sheets in the quest thread, rather than in a PM, so you can move them to the appropriate places and preserve their formatting via the Quote feature.

Okay, that was insightful. The sentiment towards those poor people that only make children becaues they don't have anything else to do is shared by a surprising amount of people across really different countries. From here to China, I mean. Surprisingly, technology and access to information and contraceptime methods are making this less likely (because it is more expensive to feed a child than to use protection), but there are always those few exceptions where an uneducated family has ten children or so, and that's the image that has more prominency than others usually.

I mainly asked because with the few free time I've had I've been investigating the population tendencies across the world, because from that depend a lot of factors, from the price of housing, land and food, to taxes to support retirement systems. And Russia was one of those cases where population is actually decreasing, at least according to the CIA factbook (which is more believable than asking Putin I guess). And, well, let's say that their system has quite a lot in common with our country cough corruption cough.

You mean more corruption than system?

You mean more corruption than system?

Systemic corruption I mean.

That's when you have to know someone inside the goverment to have the goverment do something useful, and when candidates to the elections are being investigated for a wide variety of crimes and they declare in their campaign that they are going to revise those investigations when they get elected, openly.

Boneward Belt: +2 Constitution
  • Healing (3 Charges/Day): 1 Charge (Heal 2d8 points of damage), 2 Charges (Heal 3d8), or 3 Charges(Heal 4d8)

Greater Ribbon of Disguise: Alter Self, Magic Aura, Undetectable Alignment (At Will)

Handy Haversack: This backpack is of high quality but appears otherwise normal.
  1. It has two side pouches, each of which appears large enough to hold about a quart of material. In fact, each is like a Bag of Holding and can actually hold material of as much as 2 cubic feet in volume or 20 pounds in weight. The large central portion of the pack can contain up to 8 cubic feet or 80 pounds of material. Even when so filled, the backpack always weighs only 5 pounds.
  2. While such storage is useful enough, the pack has an even greater power. When the wearer reaches into it for a specific item, that item is always on top. Thus, no digging around and fumbling is ever necessary to find what a haversack contains. Retrieving any specific item from a haversack is a Move Action, but it does not provoke the Attacks of Opportunity that retrieving a stored item usually does.
Ring of Tears:
  • 3 Charges/Day: 1 Charge (12 Temporary Hit Points), 2 Charges (18 Temporary Hit Points), 3 Charges (24 Temporary Hit Points), Duration: 10 minutes

  • [X] Plan Dungeon Delve!
-[X] Viserys tests the efficacy of magical flame on the slime by using his Fiery Burst ability to attempt to burn away a patch of it. If it is successful, Vee will use a 6th level spell slot to Summon 1d4+2 Large Fire Elementals (30 round duration) and set them to burning away the heavier concentrations of slime while we proceed directly to the location where Valaena's group was forced to stop.
    --[X] Before moving further into the Necropolis;
---[X] Viserys casts Mirror Image and False Life.
---[X] Dany will cast Greater Magic Fang on Viserys, then cast Detect Secret Doors.
---[X] Malarys will cast Defending Bone, Battlemagic Perception, and Magic Circle Against Chaos.
---[X] Everyone (except Richard) will cast Divine Insight, either from a spell slot, prepared spell, or using a Page of Spell Knowledge.
---[X] Lya casts Life Bubble, Mass Aid, and Mass Resist Energy(Acid) and Mass Resist Energ(Cold) on everyone, then Mirror Image and False Life.
---[X] Vee will cast Invisibility Purge, Mass Resist Energy(Fire), and Mass Resist Energy(Electricity) on everyone, plus True Seeing on herself and Viserys.
---[X] Varys activates her Tailring, Belt, and Ring of Venomfire, along with the Cloud Wings power from her Anklets, becoming Super Varys, Ninja-Assassin Queen of the Pseudodragons. She will keep a lookout using her Telepathic Mindsight to warn us if she detects any non-mindless creatures in the Necropolis.
-[X] Before we head further into the Necropolis, Viserys uses the set of Titan's Tools borrowed from the Golden Fields road project to place a stone wall blocking the entrance to the structure. It will be six feet thick and composed of crystal clear quartz.

@Goldfish, is there any psionic gear that Jeyne needs in the near future? It'd be helpful if we start thinking ahead for her even if we can't craft it ourselves.
