*starts to write, seeking an away from being fucking flooded in his own flat*
Oh.
Don't forget to have the Greater Intellect Devourer placed both in a bottle, a lead box and mindblanked person's posession.
no kill like overill with these shits.

He is indeed that wizard.
Huh.
They kinda jumped the shark with sending him off, didn't they :V
Oh well, I'm fully expecting Timmie's forces to rapidly gain levels and new recruits now that they are more-or-less at peace where they are.

Our numbers from Varys are already outdated.
*weeps*

@egoo or someone can you confirm for me that we did the raid on the GC company stronghold ourselves, without any Lantern Bearers involved? Basically, can I get a rundown of who was sent where and therefore has which group of prisoners?

Possibly more important, why did we just break our truce with the Deep Ones?

[X] Contact Baelor Hightower about facilitating a clandestine introduction to what passes for leadership of the Lantern Bearers of Old Town.
-[X] According to Baelor, the Lantern Bearers are poor in magic, at least in part due to Deep One interference. We would like to offer Lantern Bearers training in the magical arts in one or more of our Scholarium branches, free of charge or obligation. What they do is too important for not just Old Town or the Reach, but all of humanity, for them to be hampered by politics and fear.
--[X] In addition, we would offer them enchanted gear and Alchemical substances, free of charge. Although we would need some time before we could deliver much in the way of magic, we can give them ten Healing Belts right now.
---[X] Donated Alchemical Substances: Alchemist's Fire (x100), Antiplague (x10), Antitoxin (x10), Auran Mask (x10), Fungal Stun Vials (x20), Healing Salve (x100).
--[X] Offer to provide assistance to the Lantern Bearers wrapping up the Deep One plot, though for obvious reasons the identities of our allies would need to remain hidden from those not intimately involved.
---[X] Ask Waymar and Tyene to provide extra muscle and magic to the Lantern Bearers, should they accept our offer.

-[X] While the Lantern Bearers are dealing with the Deep Ones, Viserys, Malarys, Vee, Richard, and a pair of Erinyes will assault the corrupted Sept of the Smith to eliminate the Tiamat cultists and capture her Red Abishai minion.
--[X] Coinciding with the raid on the Sept, Dany, Sandor, Lya, Rina, and Garin, with Erinyes support, will assault the Golden Company's safehouse.
-[X] All three raids will be planned making use of Divination for maximum effectiveness while working around our enemies' own Divinations.
--[X] Take steps to prevent the surveillance on Baelor from learning of our presence or Baelor's interactions with us, including using body doubles and deliberate distractions.

So, the truce with the Deep Ones is null and void after we fought them here?
The Deep Ones have already violated the truce and know that we know. In this case, they might not know we were involved with the raid on their cell in Old Town due to Tyene and Waymar being Mind Blank'd. That's a slim hope, though.

Best to assume we're in a Cold War about to turn Hot situation.

@Snowfire considering we got his support in this endeavor I think it is fair we at least hand over mortals to Lord Hightower to judge. Also will help him and LBs if they make it public to increase cred for both.

Kind of an important question, that is very awkward to ask after the deed is done, yeah :V

@DragonParadox, would Illithids have reasonable reasons (ahem) to suspect us and null the truce right now?
We are all Mindblanked. But that's also a sign in itself.
Laternbearers should still show up on Divinations though, so there's that "cover".

There truce existed in name only at this point. They already tried to infiltrate SD using their meat puppet, whose name I can no longer recall. Fat chance they don't know it was us that ruined that plan and got ourselves a Psion out of it.

Speaking of Psions, that Greater Intellect Devourer would make great Fungal Forge fodder if we don't sacrifice it.

Ultimately the truce is based on pragmatism on their side and it will only break own entirely when one side thinks the other weak enough to handle, or when the interference becomes so bad that starting the war now would be seen as more advantageous then doing so later. Vierys thinks it is unlikely this will turn the war hot for the same reason Jeyne did not do so on his end

Only the Deep Ones' pride and unwillingness to abandon their 'toys' had kept them from escaping through the sewers.
I would not presume that, actually.
Can we immediately fire off a Divination?
I'm kinda afraid of them actually flushing something down there, and acting all arrogant after.

@Snowfire, I'd like to have that Greater Devourer kept as a price for Merling King's participation in creating Taiamat-Snare.
I think that keeping to thematic sacrifices will matter when we'll be paying the price :/
OGs and Yss are trash compactors, but MK is kinda more... refined in his tastes...

So, if this war with the Deep Ones turns hot, what would be the choice of engagement?
Divining and nuking their stronghold?
Calling in allies and wearing them down?
Excising their spies and servants while not jumping into a grind with their armies?

Don't remember what the general idea behind it was besides an idea for some epic spell to murder them all. :V

We already know where their underwater cities are. So, the first.

We'll likely give Gith coordinates for Illithids when we mith them this/next month.
That will turn the war a bit colder.
After that...
no idea, honestly. No one ever proposedd an actual plan on the matter

Basic outline of a plan below. I don't have time to put together anything really complicated on the Deep One side of things, but our social stats are absurd and we're killing the Intellect Devourers either way. This just makes their deaths hurt the ones who sent them.

[X] Plan Wages of Blood
-[X] The Sept
--[X] The Red Abishai is to be bottled and taken for full interrogation followed by execution. Exact method to be determined, but most likely via Yss to deny Tiamat the return of her invested power.
--[X] As for the cultists, examine the traces of blood magic upon them with the aim of ensuring that Tiamat may not easily pick a new focus for her power here in Oldtown from among their number. Wild Arcana a Brain Spider spell to examine their minds for any further information on the cult that might be of import, then if nothing can be found, leave them to their fate at the hands of Oldtown justice. If any have done more than simply be deceived, ensure that this information is passed on to the relevant authorities so that they might be judged for those crimes as well.
--[X] Leave Malarys and the Erinyes to guard the Sept until such time as the Watch or Lantern Bearers can be brought in to take the cultists into custody.
-[X] The Manse
--[X] Lormar and his apprentice are our prisoners. They will be bottled and taken for full interrogation and probably one of either execution or turning.
--[X] Inspect the minds of the Golden Company soldiers with the same casting of Brain Spider (it lasts 1 minute/CL and can inspect the minds of up to 8 people as a standard action) and get everything you can from them before explaining in simple terms the options available to them. Make certain that they understand that any attempts to bring the worship of Tiamat into the Night's Watch shall be met with your...poor humour. They can draw their own conclusions. They can face death or the Wall.
--[X] Make sure to retrieve the 'Darkenbeast' and dispose of it completely.
-[X] Deep One Containment
--[X] Bottle the Greater Intellect Devourer and have it placed within a lead-lined box before securing it within your cloak. It will be used as payment for the Merling King's aid against Tiamat.
--[X] Explain to the Lantern Bearers that there does exists a power utterly opposed to the Deep Ones, a God of Sea who would reward the spilling of tainted blood in his honour in ways that would not be unwholesome. The Merling King can offer many boons from the sea; cleansing the foulness of Deep One power from person and place both - make note of the Bilestone present in the city - and more besides. For abominations like these creatures, turning their deaths against their master would surely be to the aid of all that stand against them.
--[X] If the Lantern Bearers accept this premise, outline the manner in which one would sacrifice these creatures safely to the Merling King, and offer to transform the lesser monsters into harmless animal forms until the time comes. Suggest that an altar (or maybe more, once the Conclave has passed) to the Merling King could bring with it many advantages in Oldtown's war against Deep One machination.
--[X] Finally, be sure to fire off a few Divinations to ensure that the Deep One cell didn't drop anything into the sewers during the battle.

The implications of how the final line could lead to Clerics of the Merling King running around protecting Oldtown when Clerics of the Seven aren't should be lost on no one :V

My intent with the Gith is to ensure that there is some land that just happens to be perfect for a forward base near to the main Deep One population centres set aside within the Imperium for when they come looking. I don't want to drag them into this just yet, though. They're our sucker punch for when the Deep Ones try to come at us. We'll sell to them at cost, and just be a good ally for the extermination.

Why, you might ask? I want access to their lore. And a few other things.

We loot the mages, make sure The Aristocrats have no influence to vedge upon this place after we are gone, and make sure that Old Town's PCs grow a bit more.
I'm okay with everything here.
[X] Snowfire
