I figure even if it'd be nice to talk to Sun that bridge got burnt long before Sun ran Qi through at the trial to join the Inner Sect. So talking to the Princess is only going to backfire.
If we DO, part of me wants to grouse at her that her jungle was the first Trial we ran into that we lost at.

Touching base with Bai should be fun. We can tell her all about our last adventure, I'm sure she'll be interested.

Getting to know Cai is necessary but probably best done in private and she doesn't need us right now. This would be the first time we have Sun while she may be in the mood to talk instead of fighting. Maybe we can get something on what she's doing but even if not it's important to understand our opposition. She's there for a reason and figuring out that reason as well as her motivations should be our priority.

I'd disagree, she's showing visible stress right now, and by all indications, Sun Liling's about to make a Power Move of some kind. She needs support so that when it hits, she's better able to roll with it.

Yep. This is the most interesting option imo. It leaves an opening for interesting dialogue.

And frankly I actually like Sun, so it'd be nice to give her some screen time.

Maybe we'll need spider venom for moon shenanigans later, but mostly I wanted to hear more cultivator science.
